Hi Helen. Oh my goodness those Snoopy coasters are wonderful! I honestly think the zig zag is fine and I like a bit of 'rough' stitching rather than precision on something like that, it makes it look more 'artisanal' Your frock tail fabric is just gorgeous.

Five of my six grandchildren are over 18 - I'm ancient. Your Jarrah looks great and that Seasons of East dress will look stunning in that fabric 🤩
I love the fabric you have used for your Jarrah. I think it looks lovely. Ive made three recently, all slightly different. I think they are an oversized sweatshirt pattern and a lot of people tend to size down. I didnt and they are roomy but I prefer that for casual wear. I did extend my sleeves slightly and added to the length as I'm sewing tall. I think there are so many tweaks you can make with the pattern if you want too.

Aww, I’m sorry to hear that you struggled with the coaster, you could try an open toed foot that will make it easier to see. I think your idea of a more simple shape to start would work xx❤
My jarrah turned out just the same! I’ve never worn it, can’t even straighten the hem because I haven’t enough fabric. I feel that there are much better sweatshirt patterns out there. X

Hi Helen I have been making some of the coasters this week and I was disappointed with my stitching but I reduced the zig zag even smaller and went around again over the previous stitches and I am much happier with the result 😊
To be fair, I think you recovered the Jarah into a very wearable loungewear top.
Oh my days! That fabric for your Seasons of East is totally stunning! I am so looking forward to Plymouth Frocktails! I’m hoping to record my vlog tomorrow with my completed dress. Been thinking about it since I bought my ticket so thought I’d crack on and make it as February goes in the blink of an eye 🤷♀️🤪
Hi Helen. Your Jarrah doesn’t look like a ‘fail’ at all. It looks really nice. I did the same as you with my last Jarrah with the dropped hem and really didn’t like it either. I also chopped it off and added a band and it’s a bit too short on me but it’s getting worn.
All of my boys are grown.😅😢😅😢
