True but that's not the case here. Dame has made more money in his life than 99% of the population. We're not talking about him getting his Rolls Royce repoed from in front of Popeyes chicken lol. Half these ninjas can't pay an $800 cell phone bill let alone settle a $800K debt. You gotta have ASSETS to do this. If he really was broke, he wouldn't be able to do this. Ijs.
This is corny. Why are you asking these dudes? Bosses get sued. Why would you go into your liquid assets, when you have an asset that’s going to depreciate soon? And Dame didn’t put regular people down. He was checking DJ Envy (A whole effing Millionaire). Smh. The hate is strong in here.
For those that don't know, Dame already was trying to sell his share of (I think) Roc-A-Fella Inc, which is different from Roc-A-Fella Records company that went under Def Jam Recordings. If you don't believe me, look it up. Dame just wasn't trying to sell it off to Jay-Z for his own reasons. Roc-A-Fella Records is different from Roc-A-Fella Inc, hence why only Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt is owned under Roc-A-Fella Inc (which was distributed by Priority Records) and Roc-A-Fella Records (which currently, Jay-Z solely owns) has those other albums including the Jay-Z albums from 1997- like 2008. Jay-Z own the copyrights to all of his albums except Reasonable Doubt. If I'm not mistaken, the albums released by the other artists on Roc-A-Fella Records are owned by Def Jam (via their parent company Universal). I say all of that to say that although it may seem like an L for Dame, it really isn't because he's been wanting to move on from & away from Jay-Z. This is the last of it. Yet he may still take an L, if Jay-Z was to buy Dame's share of Roc-A-Fella Inc.🤷🏿♂️
Dame playing chess. Jay z is going to get it back in 6 years anyway. He was already saying he considering selling it before this lawsuit. And when you're dealing with million dollar business lawsuits come with the territory. This is the smart play given the circumstances. Doesn't mean he doesn't have millions in investments owned by trusts.
A Win definitely: ▪︎ Co-created a legendary project. ▪︎ Earned 33% for 30 years. ▪︎ Law requires rights revert to artist in the 35th year anyway ▪︎ Could sell it for $1.2M minimum today. ▪︎ Clear $800K debt. ▪︎ Pocket $400K. If I gotta liquidate an asset to pay a debt, this is a prime candidate while it has value.
Everything Dame is going through is part of being a Boss but people who have never been a boss and have always wanted to see him fall are exposing themselves.

Not the biggest Dame fan but has anyone considered that maybe he would prefer to use his shares to pay this debt rather than to use other tangible assets he owns. Think about it, he can't really do shit with the 33% anyway and it's just sitting there waiting for Jay-Z. Before you be so damn quick to celebrate his loss, he may be doing the smartest thing possible in this situation. A lot of critics can't settle a $800 debt let alone an $800K debt. No one is perfect. I still hold Dame with the highest esteem when it comes to business. Not all business deals will be successful, there’s always a risk when you bet on yourself. You lose some and you win some.
I saw this coming because Dames biggest problem was his arrogance and bad character plus the fact he was trying to be a one man army he had no powerful allies and in business you need that so in times like these you had people to get assistance from.
They broke it down, Dame aint had one good thing happen to him in business in 25 years, hes still knocking Jay, his issue is hes the issue, he wants to star, direct, produce and even being a rock and roll singer in his own band.

You all are getting so messy on this channel, so let talk FACTS not HYPE: Dame was looking to sell his shares to rocafella for almost a decade now but he couldn’t because he was being sued by JAYZ which was to ensure Dame would still be under fiduciary responsibility for the company’s custodial records. Meaning, JAYZ was promised by the heads of universal records that he will retain his masters under the condition that rocafella would still be a functioning entity where he (JAYZ) is the major shareholder since “Biggs” somehow mysteriously went to jail and lost his stake in the company. By being the major shareholder, JAYZ was able to launder money through rocafella as a subsidiary and it wasn’t being monitored because the company is primarily defunct. Now that Dame has finally won the lawsuit which kept him in limbo with the company he can now free himself. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 He been trying to sell that stake for a long time and y’all talking about his downfall Y’all a bunch of chatty patty’s

Yes he is a big part of him being in the game. He not the only one though.
Same people you meet on the way up are the same you meet on your way down
Big boy kept it real people don't got money like you think a bunch of cappin and frontin going on 🤦
Facts...and Rap and Hip Hop has produced the biggest fronters........
Y’all don’t know money management but steady 🗣️ on something y’all ain’t even researching.
Ijs.
@@LAshades expound please explain
@@VinylSkillz facts I found out All them famous rappers got sugar daddies aka white label executives funding their lifestyles
DJ Envy was probably foaming at the mouth 🤤 to get back at the BOSS ….
He did a backflip
Wrong Boss
He's more of a boss than dame is
That’s why you stay humble
Dame not being able to cover a debt doesn’t make him less of a boss in my humble opinion
You right!! These are Haterz Jealous
Yeah it just make him a bum.
...
you delusional like him
Why not? How can he loses that much of his company and not diminish as a “boss”? You sound crazy.
Lol actually it does mean you're not a Boss
Pride always goeth before the fall. Dame was wrong talking to them like that. You all are 💯 correct, everyday people are essential to this world.
Exactly, lost people rather sell their a&$ for a bag n Thts why we Dnt have many stand up men today or even men period
A Win definitely:
▪︎ Co-created a legendary project.
▪︎ Earned 33% for 30 years.
▪︎ Law requires rights revert to artist in the 35th year anyway
▪︎ Could sell it for $1.2M minimum today.
▪︎ Clear $800K debt.
▪︎ Pocket $400K.
If I gotta liquidate an asset to pay a debt, this is a prime candidate while it has value.
Bosses get sued 🤷🏽♂️
😂😂😂 exactly everyone can get sued
Dash wants to sell it, so he's happy and about to get paid they wouldn't let him sell it before
This is a play...clear debt and now being able to liquidate the asset he has no real control over due to ownership...This is SMART
These are the same people who say 50 cent was broke because he file bankruptcy
Everything Dame is going through is part of being a Boss but people who have never been a boss and have always wanted to see him fall are exposing themselves.
Ummm dame WON actually
1. Suit cost him nothing
2. He make $1.5mill after taxes
3 YE ALREADY BLESSED HIM
Why isn’t Envy in Jail?
This is usually what happens when one pretends to be “a boss”, when in fact, one doesn’t have the necessary knowledge to be “a boss!” 🤔🤔👈🏾
If you own Multiple companies & legally employ people: you are indeed a “Boss”… Stuff happens 🤷🏾

He relinquished an asset instead of using his own personal funds to pay off a previous unsettled settlement. Tf you even talking about?
To you 😂 he’s definitely a boss I’m sorry you can’t see the difference but live n learn. Many not willing to sell out for a couple dollars n good. I wish it was more people like Dame
Why people that's not millionaires sitting having conversation about millionaire problems it don't make an ounce of sense
Really some broke minded individuals. It seems as though their actually taking pleasure in a legal misfortune. What happened to Mr. Dash isn't uncommon at all in business. The asset is just that, an asset . At least they acknowledged that Mr. Dash owns it,I thought they were going to say he really doesn't have that either.😟😟 Peace and Blessings.
I think you'll miss the point of saying is, have ownership and be your own boss. That's the goal not to work for somebody. Rule number one dont use Your own money. Just because you take a loss don't mean you're not a boss
Dame is still a boss. Yall on TH-cam hating.
He's on TH-cam hating on hov
Play Frank Sinatra, " MY WAY" Shout out to Dame!!!
If he wasn't a boss, he wouldn't have that type of leverage or be in this type of situation to begin with. 🥷lights getting cut off and they clowning Dame. The nerve of you 🥷.
No one is perfect. I still hold Dame with the highest esteem when it comes to business. Not all business deals will be successful, there’s always a risk when you bet on yourself. You lose some and you win some.
You aint a Boss until you take a LOSS.. Dame keep your head up fam.. Its always the lames who celebrate your losses but never your wins..
Who wants to be a part of a system Tht wants you to sacrifice things to obtain a piece of paper? When people say stuff like this I assume they will sell their a$$, kids, n anything valuable for a bag.
You typed a whole lie 😂

You all are getting so messy on this channel, so let talk FACTS not HYPE:
Dame was looking to sell his shares to rocafella for almost a decade now but he couldn’t because he was being sued by JAYZ which was to ensure Dame would still be under fiduciary responsibility for the company’s custodial records.
Meaning, JAYZ was promised by the heads of universal records that he will retain his masters under the condition that rocafella would still be a functioning entity where he (JAYZ) is the major shareholder
since “Biggs” somehow mysteriously went to jail and lost his stake in the company.
By being the major shareholder, JAYZ was able to launder money through rocafella as a subsidiary and it wasn’t being monitored because the company is primarily defunct.
Now that Dame has finally won the lawsuit which kept him in limbo with the company he can now free himself.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He been trying to sell that stake for a long time and y’all talking about his downfall
Y’all a bunch of chatty patty’s
😂😂😂 yeah this channel is going downhill and it all from them hating on the very people that they say they are trying to uplift and help. They take the teachings of racism to a hole new level. They will speak down on Al Sharpton and pull some Al Sharpton shit on you at the same time.
The dark skinned dude is a direct depiction of how our people are that love to see when we are down
Wait wait wait he was already talking about selling his portion And why tf would he reach into his own account and spend his own money … dame is smart and these are the people dame talking about … bunch of chatty patties nothing dame is going through make him or his statements any less credible. Dame is selling something he doesn’t even want he’s about to clear a debt and make a bag from what yall think is funny or a downfall I forget sometimes they are comedians can’t take them seriously

A Boss control the time he donated. He is a Boss, because a worker has a schedule. We all work for the corporation (America) but the constitution allows us the freedom to create opportunities and that's what Dame Do. Love you my brother your gonna come back stronger than ever
That is not the same situation he was telling Envy about.
I GENUINELY WISH PEOPLE WOULD DO THEIR OWN RESEARCH REGARDING THIS SITUATION! UGH! ITS THE PRINCIPLE OF TRUSTING PEOPLE U MADE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO THEN GET SMACKED WITH LAWSUITS…. DAME DASH IS A BOSS FLAT OUT!
I always envisioned Dame to be on shark tank 😩
No, it's OK to have a job but inspire to be your own boss. That's what he is basically saying. You have to read between the lines
Guess he not the Ultimate Hustler after all…
Times has changed and he didn't really adapt 100%, plus add in, many failed projects and businesses that he self funds is probably what's going on financially.
He’s still doing well.

He did nothing after Jay. He was using Jay that’s why he left

I'm ready for that rocafella documentary dame ain't broke
Sad people running there mouth he couldn't do nothing with it cause you have to vote on it for him to do anything with it. Once the federal government puts it for auction they pay the people he owe and he gets the rest but he couldn't do that with the other 2 owners.
I’m 800k in the hole and went broke at the same time, so to even have an asset to generate that type of money to pay off the debt says a lot about the dude. For most of us life is completely turned upside down
I think he will bounce back
Dame issue is his Pride
Y'all in here defending dude after this? This ain't boss moves.

The Diddy situation was a MAJOR alley oop for this dude! Took all the attention away from his real estate disaster with his fat friend. I know he thanks Diddy everyday in his prayers! 😂
😂😂😂
Why be a boss when you can be an employee… this is so disrespectful.
There’s clearly a plan in place to keep Dame from ever getting back up, he’s too smart and encourages black ownership and independence. The powers that be don’t like his message to us , we’re all asleep and we’re all just a customer and they would like us to stay that way and he doesn’t
Bullseye
He didn't scold nobody he was trying to motivate and change people's thinking about work, jobs, etc. Ppl that feel insecure about their situation are the only ppl who got offended. He still has businesses and doesn't work for anybody. How do you know he is not just letting it go to satisfy the debt.
What y’all fail to realize is that the only successful people in the industry are those who go along to get along. Anybody that speaks against industry tactics, whistle blowers and exposers will not be “allowed” to prosper! Dame is clearly the latter and Jay, well ya know!
Tell these go alongs to get a bag lost fools who will sell their morals for anything 😂. This is the reason we are where we at today with so many lost followers. I wish it was more men like Dame who wouldn’t sell their a$$ n become women because the world said so
He probably has all his money in a trust under in his kids name. Dame is smart enough to hide his money.

Still gotta give Dame his credit because he helped change the game and also stuck up for artists when nobody had the heart to at that time…they’re just speaking on the negative side of him
I don't think people are really understanding what's actually taking place as well as what has always been taking place in the entertainment world and outside of the entertainment world.
Slavery modernized
Hov or Dame never actually owned corporations over bigger corporations.
Everything we own,,, yup they,,, they really own what you thought you owned. All celebs are owned and controlled by a big corporate policy.
Are we that blind????😢
If he had it to pay he would have been ordered to pay, he wouldn't have been "ordered" to sale his stake in the company if he had the funds. They reviewed his financial situation and decided this is what he needed to do.
Don't judge the cover...makes sense to let it go to auction. STARTING price is a Milly ($), so who knows how high it goes for his payout.
Why is everybody shittin' on Dame?! Dame will be aight.
Go watch the episode when he came on breakfast club with his nasty arrogance!
