The base has changed so much from when I was there in 1967 it's amazing. Are you a student there or are you permanent party? From Sheppard I went TDY to Eglin AFB in Fla. then TDY to England AFB in Louisiana and then to Plieku Air Base Republic of Vietnam 1968 -1969.
We had no cell phones, no tablets, no I pads, no social media BS, just pay phones, this was 36 years ago mind you, wing nuts, and, I would do it all over again if needed even now!! Cheers

All y'all young Airmen out there DO NOT bitch about the 3 to a room situation! When I was at Sheppard our shower room had to be shared with the whole got damn hallway! No privacy whatsoever. Plus it was full of mold. Hang in there kids tech school sucks. Just study so you can get the shit over with. It gets much better when you get to your first assignment

I was one of the few guys that had a friend bring my car there for me so I had that freedom on the weekends not everyone had. I was making money driving people around though lol Uber before there was Uber

I went through medical corpsman school at Sheppard in 1968. You guys have it made.
