This is the game that got me interested in the movie and Egyptology. This game's may be clunky to control, but it's still a great game, the Ancient Egyptian artwork in here is phenomenal, the level design is great, most the enemies ai is kinda dumb, but that mostly due to the limitations of the time period, but they can be deadly in groups, the music is awesome. You just can't find horror adventure games like this these days.

One of the best PSX games when it comes to the atmosphere and very respectful for the source material. The dynamic music and really nice details like textures on the walls in the Egyptian interiors looked awesome for already 5 years old console. The only thing that can be a bit anoying are the controls that don't take full advantage of DualShock controller. Auto aim is very helpful. The Mummy is really worth playing nowadays. Just install Mednafen emulator and get a DualShock style controller. Vibration works well on Mednafen and the experience is great even on over 10 years old Core2Duo laptop.

got to find the game, add it to my collection. love the film, The mummy returns is fun, just the effects let it down, but it's a fair follow up. the 3rd ........... better than the 2017 thing they attempted to sell as a film. funny how the in game character of Rick looks more like Hugh Grant, and Johnathan sounds like a cartoon character. but, the game is for fun, music is great all the imagery is amazing, people probably are finding secrets NOW. 1 thing though, in many films about Egypt, they usually get places wrong, mix them up. Thebes doesn't have the pyramids or Sphynx. IT'S GIZA. yes it's a movie, but still :) it's EGYPT we're talkin about.
