The last best film Tom Cruise acted in. Amazing scene with an even more amazing song. I connected with this film so much that I felt like I was David, alone and knowing he was going to wake up from a magnificent dream soon, and face reality... Man I love this movie so much.....
If there is anything you ever see in life, you need to see this movie. This movie is almost equivalent to having a mother or father. After I watch it, I can't come back to my own reality for at least 30 minutes or hour. It's like having a really vivid dream but actually caught on tape. I admire this movie, it shouldn't even be a movie. It's more of a beautiful awakening experince.

he's basically repeating what edmund is saying... edmunds saying the little things matter the most sometimes and have the greatest consequences and then david is basically saying like...everything is a little thing really...when compared to the universe or the earth (hence why they use this song with this particular song title and lyrics). There's nothing as important as the little things: a hug when you're sad, family when you need them most, etc.

Not really, if you watch the scenes involving him very closely you see how terrible of a friend he actually was. Like when they were coming back from the dance club. He offers to give Sophia a ride on his bike, he said it was "right here". Then when she runs off and he starts walking the same Sophia did he tells David his bike "is back there". And then runs after her, even taking the same left turn down the street after her. And the scene in which you first see Sophia, you can see him talking to Juliana at the party. Later on the street when David confronts him about telling her they were "fuck buddies" he tells David he never spoke to her and then averts his eyes to the side, avoiding Davids eyes. There are more examples but it would take to long. He was a terrible friend.
Ammar Alnabulsi Well I mean, I gave you two solid examples. One leading to Davids disfigurement in the first place because he said something to Juliana he shouldn't have. Knowing the consequences or not. Can you give me something he did to atone for these wrongs? That's the thing. Neither of them are good/true friends. David knowingly steals Brian's girlfriend and Brian seeks atonement by telling Davids mistress what she is to him to mess that relationship up then proceeds to try and steal Sophia back from David. Arguably Brian was just getting payback but it should have ended after David nearly died because of what Brian told Juliana. Either way, neither of them are very good friends to the other. Can you prove otherwise?
For me it was the part where he was standing by the car and he was looking and he was smiling and then he walked away and the song playing in the background made it so dope

I totally agree with you. The music choosing was briliant, especialy at the end scene. I live in Hungary. This is a small country in the middle of Europe. There are winter, summer, but the most interesting is the spring and the autum. When it is springtime, I look up the sky, sometimes it's like the vanilla sky, and I think about the film, the song in my head. I can't get it out of my head.
This movie really made me think about life in general....don't ever take it, or "the little things" for granted, because it can all be over in a instant.

the original version (also called "Elvis mix") featured a quotation from "Can't help falling in love" - no samples, just the quotation. but the Elvis Estate refused the use of the lyrics so Spiritualized had to re-record the part. as the promos were already issued and sent with the Elvis mix, the version leaked out in the internet.
I got the soundtrack, I listened thru it once and I don't remember hearing this one on it, wtf, is it a hidden track or did I not listen very well? This song is one of the main reasons I got the soundtrack, also I was hoping for that song where david is kinda following sofia around outside after he got into the accident, that's a great version of what I figure is the theme song to the movie.
AMENABAR WROTE AND DIRECTED THIS FILM WHEN HE WAS 25 !! (Crowe did it when 44) Maybe the remake is better this time, cause the original script is amazing, but i hope u understand my spaniard proud.
