34:40 "Repair it _in situ"_ is what I suspect they were going after. There were probably better ways to phrase it, throwing in Latin there makes it sound a little too lawyer-like. There are a number of errors because the TTS bot they're using can't pronounce some of the words like mecha.
to be fair, the game is made by a Chinese studio, with Chinese being it's primary language, so translation errors are basically expected, especially when some words get mixed up with others
Yes, but the game has sold millions of copies by now and has been in early access for years. We can therefore expect the translation to be properly localized.
It has English as the only other option other than Chinese so they should put more English speakers on fixing / retranslating the tips.@@KatherineOfSky
34:25 This made me lawl. I support you on this crusade :) I would like to add that peculiarities in prose due to foreign cultural differences can be quite endearing. I'd love to see more Chinese idioms and unusual turns of phrase enter the English speaking mainstream.
I know you have mentioned that waiting for your bots to finish something can be trying. So If you have it laded out and waiting for your bots to build it you can hover over the outline of the building and hold left click and the Icarus will build it and bypass your overloaded bots.
I love your series! you motivated me to finally play the game on my own after owning it since release. it's so much fun, even if a bit daunting. just like factorio :P I'm also very grateful for the proper playlist. you always handle that so well! Just one request, thats likely too late for most of the series.. could you move the creator code? text over hotbars makes my head hurt :P but thats just a personal preference... thanks for all the lovely entertainment!
Little heads-up: at 6:50, you have three miners going on your iron patch, but the 'lowest' of them doesn't have an output belt yet - maybe adding that to the input will give you enough throughput to get a few more machines going before the end of the row starves out👍...
Personally I don’t mind the translation issues, it’s quite entertaining, but also I’d much prefer the devs to focus on QoL improvements and performance rather than subtitles. And I suspect they’re waiting on the issue until they’re ready to fully release the game as part of the final polish.
Funny enough, I rather like the weird robotic translations. You're a robot, the enemies are robots, the tutor guy is a robot. It all feels like it just fits.. And as far as defenses go.. I dragged a bullet belt across the planet and made a ring around the enemy base. I build in peace again.
Pro tip, place a Signal tower with its Range just out of their wa, what evereavey the base, each and every attack, will always go to that Signal tower first. Have a battle field analysis Center behind for repairs and picking up stuff, than every Rocket launcher on the Planet will help killing them off before they do anything. If "darky" sticks out their iron noses, they get smashed in no time. Always.
I have 9 on my starter World and think about fouble it, not because they dont get the stuff done, but it starts to look like a fight, Esther than an execution. So maybe 9 more are usefull.
@@KatherineOfSky okay 👌🏻 I wasn’t sure if it was something you just missed (due to the cold) or not. But then you where at least aware of it ☺️ oh and welcome here to Sweden hope you’ll enjoy your stay
You may have few linguists in Discord but certainly hundreds of non native english speakers who just think that you use very advanced language they do not just understand.
FWIW, I think you'd do a great job of replacing the tutorial voice. Better English and better speaking as well... At a minimum, at least you'll be able to pronounce "mecha" correctly.....
When you were wondering about the "disappearing steel" when trying to do research, I noticed you picked up iron plates instead of the steel beams that you needed. Also a building was destroyed during that last attack. I understand you were sick when you recorded these videos, but you really should pay attention to what's going on around you and what you're doing. Just some constructive criticism for you.
49:55 you can click on a belt and then select reverse path on the pop up menu
I'm all for KoS being the voice of the tips bot, when you get 1TW of power or blow up a fog swarm it'll exclaim "holy fuzzy cats"
HAHAHAHA!

Such a great game! I'm really enjoying the upgrades!
Also 'a hopsey' is the best name for one belt hoping over another! ❤
XD

when you click on the belts there is an option to flip the direction of the belt
Hmm, I'll have to look for it again. Didn't see it when I checked before.

Oooh, I forgot about that! Thanks!
Good to see you back playing dyson.
Thanks! I'm loving it!

I forgot.... the game isn't on the epic store at all, my bad. The code is gone from either ep 4 or 5 onwards.
@@KatherineOfSky Time for steam Partnerships! Thank you though. I love the series
@@IsildorAlas, they have such high market share, I doubt they will ever share the profits with the people who promote the games.
@@KatherineOfSky Such is the unfortunate truth, yes. But It'd be great for such lovely creators :)

I did that on purpose to have a "chest" of iron ore for me to pick up and hand craft.
If I had to guess, in-suit might be a mistranslation/bad attempt to use in-situ.
Indeed, maybe a typo
Apparently you can pick up from belts by control clicking on the belt
It's control click.

Their voice over seems to be a robot. Mecha is not pronounced usually with the ch sound but instead the k sound like meka.
I think they meant, "in situ" or 'in the original place'
Yeah, that's sounds right.
35:00 "in suit" is a typo for "in situ" ... which is technically correct, but also not how conversational English speakers talk 🤷♂
Unfortunately it was a typo, so it didn't make much sense as it was

hahahaha! Yeah, I did the same in a future ep!

32:32 you chose iron plates and not steel 😅 also on one of your iron miners you never put in an output so it’s been idle sense the last episode
39:39 you can see the miner I was talking about here
The iron mines without output were not connected on purpose.

I wonder if you are sufficiently prepared for defense, I don't think you are...🤭
I am
Is it actually pronounced Mesha like the little announcer guy says? hmmm?
Should be mek-a, that's how we call it in english.
