Pin to drive and sentry mode are my go to features before I exit my car…..and I immediately lock the doors with the fob in any unfamiliar location (road trips, mall, charging station, etc)
good luck with bluetooth from the phone btw. it checks loation from the phone trough the app and if your phone isnt close u can relay as much as you want, it wont open =P
Anytime before i get off my car turn off my Bluetooth. Just in case someone is trying to relay the signal from my phone. I have got pin to drive and glove box so, even if they get in, they can't start it.
Yes, you can hack a Tesla ... but your standard car thief is NOT a hacker, so the odds of a Tesla being stolen are still low ... I also appreciate that the handles are retracted, making car-jacking while I'm in my vehicle far less likely
Ah well, if you replace the main "brain" module with one from a different tesla, and suddenly you cant track it because it thinks its a entirely different tesla, i bought a wrecked one on copart due to it being a theft recovery and being wrecked and the serial on that module was different from the rest of the car
Bluetooth relay? I'm guessing its just signal repeater of some sort, one very simple way to fix this problem possible is to have 1 meter Bluetooth and GPS location before opening done by you phone, car can't open by Bluetooth relay if the GPS locations is 25 meters away, the car would be sus
The problem is, once the Bluetooth is recognized, the loop is opened, then closed, and the relay goes with the car, so the GPS is still recognizing the Bluetooth. The actual owner wouldn't even be able to drive it if what you said would work. Think about what you said... The thief is MIMICKING the owner's Bluetooth, so what good is having something extra that only needs to verify the mimick?
You realize that Annabelle's car was, in fact, stolen. She merely had the means to assist the police in recovering her car. There is nothing she could have done after the thieves had her car to prevent them from damaging or destroying her car. They are other safeguards available thru Tesla that would have prevented the thieves from being able to access and drive her car in the first place.
That interior camera has absolutely nothing to do with driver attentiveness. I covered mine with electric tape. Autopilot has been acting exactly the same as before.
Even if you stole it it’s worthless outside of a joyride, what are the thieves going to do with it? Steal the Catalytic converters, gas, or engine? Wait teslas don’t have those 🤣
@@benjaminm7747 you wouldn’t time to do all that. Tracking is going to tell the owner and the cops exactly where you are even if you disconnected the 12volt. Not true. Those are only rentals, but even that has ended at if 3 weeks ago. All you need is your phone on your pocket, aka, a signal, just like older cars. The cats key is a backup in case your phone is lost or dead.
Ok but then you are tracked via GPS, the camera inside and it will be totally useless once they turn it off and remote kill is activated. All I have to do is open up the app and see where it's going and call the cops 😂

Keep working on that.

Not true look up video on about person unlocking and driving off with a laptop hacking car through bluetooth.
You have forgotten the glovebox that can only be unlocked from the MCU which is another layer of security and definitive a plus to buy a tesla

I wish pin to drive could be operated verbally. This would prevent smudges on the screen from reviling what numbers you use.
It’s pretty easy to clean, plus you click it to do so much it there will be so many smudges on it all over the place.
It allways moves over the whole screen so they can’t track it

Uh. An arsonist in Vallejo Ca was caught by a citizen and held until the cops arrived a couple days ago. He was in a stolen Tesla
Put a guard dog in the Tesla. Turn on dog mode.
Annabelle was actually ended right when she found the thieves
i still prefer the ol hillbily alarm a dbl barrel 12ga with a string on the trigger
So just put Pin to drive problem solved
The 2020 has cabin camera too
AND when the alarm goes off the speakers blast jazz music and Jesus Christ does it set your flight or flight mode off
pin to drive
its pretty easy to steal a tesla i wont go over how but just know it is very fuckin easy and u can do it without breaking a single window
Every car is easy to steal, as long as you know what you're doing.
