Saw this video the other day. Had the same exact problem and symptoms. Bought a new fuse. Didn’t work. Took the bolts off the top of the heat plate and exposed the wiring. Found that one of the wires had come off. Looked like cheap wiring overheated. I cut back some of the wiring and exposed better copper. Connected an electric washer and connected it back to the heat plate. The “off” light was gone and it was heating up. Apparently the temps we were getting was the room temperature. This solved my problem and I hope it helps someone else. If it happens again. I’m going to take it apart and go with a heavier gauge wire to withstand the high voltage flow at long periods. Be blessed.
Thank you so much for sharing this and thank you all that left comments about the wires attached to the plate being burnt and become unattached. That definitely helped!
Hi, I just fixed my wife’s heat press with the problem of not heating past 78 degrees. I had to remove the heating plate and repair one of the wires attached to the plate because it had burnt and become unattached. I hope this helps
I HAD THAT PROBLEM ONCE, SORRY I SAW THIS LATE, BUT THE WIRE TO THE PRESS IS LOOSE. THE ONE THAT CAME FROM THE CONTROL BOX TO THE PRESS, SO I SCREWED OFF THE PRESS THEN I PUSH THE WIRE IN MORE SO WHEN I SCREW IN IT AGAIN THE WIRE STAYS INTACT. AN BAMM MY MACHINE WORKS, CHEAP WIRING IS YOUR PROBLEM, BUT I GUEST YOU FOUND OUT BY NOW, SINCE AM SO LATE.
I fixed it was the wire the side that goes in the timer box i opened it and there was 1 from the 4 wires looks like steel threat it was lose i put thin foil around it and stuck it back where the solder was now it works again
Mine was doing the same exact thing after sooo many tries and videos i actually figured out. My wires from the presser to the box was loose. My hubby rewired the back cables from the presser.. nottt the box. If it makes sense but it finally worked. 😚hope this helps anyone else
For these machines you set both temperature and time on the bottom display. It's the display in green. First you set the temp, then push set, then set the time. The top display (in red) only shows the current temperature of the heat press. It's a confusing design that would be less confusing with instructions. In this video, her press is set for 40 degrees.
this video may be 7 years old but im so happy you posted it, you saved me hundreds of dollars with this simple repair
what repair?

Mine did the same. Take apart the top element and you will more than likely find a loose wire.
