    Roger, I don’t kn if you have the answers but I received my “ Tusy “ press 5/20/22 The first thing I noticed was Tusy was not embossed on the top heat plate , looking at the box the Tusy name was covered with tape , looking at the control box , on the back where voltage info. is right under what I believe is the serial number I noticed black sharpie covering something, I scratched it off with my nail it say “ manufactured by Tusy also the cover of the instruction book at a white sticker ( I peeled it off) it says “ Tusy” why is the Tusy name removed from all these places & last but not least the heating elements for the mug press are not attached to the body of the mug press ? Sorry so long but do you have any idea about any of this ?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Like a lot of things made in China, one factory makes all the same thing and then brands them according to what the customer wants them to say. I did a video a while back comparing several different inexpensive sets of small pruning shears. All of them were identical other than handle color and brand name on them.

      @teresarene1 I have this same problem but no where does it say Tusy, on the press, box or manual. Nothing about it looks like the one Roger has and it's also a 5 in 1. They told me some crap about them changing their logo. I don't buy it at all and returning min today. I don't get why yours did say Tusy and they marked it out, why not leave it? Not to mention mine is 40 degrees off, hotter then what I set it for.

    When pressing a shirt I noticed you took the speckled white pad off and just left the orange pad on their. Is that how we are supposed to do it? Or do you take it off when pressing shirts

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The "speckled" pad is softer than the orange pad. If I'm doing something like shirts, I either leave it off or put it under the other pad. When doing something that has "curves", such as a ceramic tile, I put it on top along with a heat press pillow. (Really something I should do another video on!)

      Should not smoke on warm up (unless first time use, which would be normal). Some smoke (steam) would be evident while sublimating, and is normal. I do 385 degrees for 120 seconds on mugs,

      okay thanks, its my second time using it. but it did not work on 385 too high i had to lower to 330 for 160 seconds. plus it shuts off and starts clicking on and off then shuts the electricity.

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dylangarciayt4664 The clicking sound is the internal relay and is normal. If it is tripping your breaker or blowing a fuse, there is something else wrong, which may, or may not be the press. This easily goes to 400 degrees. This should be used on a 20 amp circuit and may trip a breaker on a 15 amp circuit if there are other loads. (Retired Master Electrician)

    Great video! I just got mine a few days ago and set it up and used it, as soon as it reaches 380 degrees the out button starts to clicks off and on , I sent a message to the company and they said it does that and asked if it is working well. It heats up fine and everything I’ve made with it has turned out fine but the clicking off and on is annoying. Does yours do that?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The click you are hearing is the internal relay for the heating element as it cycles to keep the platen at proper temperature. This is normal and is not unique to this brand. the internal relay is required to handle the amperage load for the heat element as the load exceeds what could be done on the circuit board. There are solid state load switching relays, but are more expensive than standard coil-operated relays commonly used on equipment like this. I have two other heat presses, both of which are different brands, and they all do this.
