- Royal Caribbean International's brand-new "Anthem of the Seas" arrived in Southampton Docks for the first time at around 8am on the morning of Wednesday 15th April 2015. She was escorted by fire-tugs "Svitzer Alma" and "Svitzer Sarah" and docked at the 'City' Cruise Terminal.
"Anthem of the Seas" is the second of RCI's 'Quantum'-class cruise ships and her sister ship "Quantum of the Seas" visited Southampton briefly in October 2014 before crossing the Atlantic to start cruising. "Anthem of the Seas" however will be based out of Southampton for the 2015 season.

I haven't been to Southampton since I moved away in 1968 having enjoyed watching Queen Elizabeth,Queen Mary, SS France and others during the old Southampton - New York crossings.This is clearly a far bigger and much more awesome ship.Many thanks for sharing.I am really amazed by the change.

It's 4years ago since I was on anthem when she was in southhamton and I am back on her may can't wait and also booked on again may 2021 can't be bad can't wait to say hello anthem

Lovely morning for it. They've managed to get quite a nice profile with these, but there's way too much clutter on top, with all those mushroom-like domes and the superfluity of funnels and all that, and that horribly fake looking climbing wall. I think on the whole I'd choose Britannia.
