Great Cover, did you made that background sound that starts at 1:49 from the actual chords played from a guitar or bass? I really want to know how to make some synth sounds like that from the chords played in my guitar. I use a vst named gross beats where i can make some gates and different sounds from the chords I record, but nothing sounds like that. Thank you.
That's a software synthesizer that I programmed. Same with the "wahhmmm wahhhhmm" synth that starts off the song. There's guitar, synth, and my voice pretty much throughout. If you wanted to make synth sounds from a guitar signal, Line 6 has a pretty good pedal with multiple synth sounds that you can select. I think you can mix the two to keep some of the original guitar signal still present.
Ryan Beckenbaugh I played it before, it's mostly the same chords until it gets to the part where he sings "We need to scratch the surface now", that's the only part of the song where he changes the chords
Why do I use beats specifically or headphones at all in the video? If you're asking why I use beats, because 1) I was fooled by the corporate marketing monster :P Nah, they were a gift, fit comfortably, and have a nice sound to them for me. If you're asking why I'm even wearing headphones in the video, it's so I can hear the guitar tone (being processed by the computer) along with my voice...just helps to keep the levels balanced. Also I may have had a metronome going. :) Thanks!

What are the chords for the song
This is awesome! Can you make a Scratch cover? Greetings from Indonesia! :)
I'll do my best. That's a tough song to sing, but it is quite beautiful. :) Thanks for commenting.
I first thought Indi meant Scratches from Inside of Emptiness. Now I'm realizing what she actually meant haha
Haha, ya, the bonus track :) The song is really catchy, too bad didn't available on my country :( Can't wait for your cover ;)
