Yeah, the fun thing about the cookoffs are the crazy neat things you can make just by changing the spice around. :) You can add sugar to almost anything and it turns into a sweet sort of dessert (even if it's not ice cream lol), and soy sauce usually makes it more asian inspired. Combos are endless! (As a chef myself I probably have WAY too much fun with that kind of thing...)

I started playing Breath of Fire 3 recently and I definitely think you should do a playthrough of that after this (if you're not planning on doing the first game) the sprites are lovely and I think you'd enjoy it :)

I was wondering why the castle theme suddenly seemed different. Then I saw that the overworld theme changed. Sounds more exciting and majestic, and truly feels like you're going on an adventure. Glad to see the world map theme gets changed like that, for variety's sake. Man, I'm finding that cooking game to be more and more... addicting :P
Meuniere is actually a really tasty way to serve fish...Though salmon isn't your go-to option. You lightly dredge the fish in flour, saute or pan-fry it, and then serve it with a meuniere sauce, which is at its core a browned butter and lemon sauce, though your individual recipe will call for a more or less elaborate sauce. It's both very easy to make and very delicious.
Seeing everything so far I can think of at least 4 or 5 extras that can be saved for the end when you finish Lucas, all optional cutscenes not shown, all major battle deaths, all mini games, and all other endings.
you get everything you need for the cook offs regardless if you have ingredients or not. Building up your farm with veggies and animals is just for your personal use for making healing items with hidden effects.
Just FYI, with the cook-offs, the game works as if you have all the ingredients (spices, meats, veggies, etc). That's why you can cook everything. Just think of the TV show Chopped, where the pantry has everything you need. The only thing the game will NOT assume is that you have all the recipes. Those you have to have on hand or already given to him.

Lucah, if you ever play some of the other Suikuden's then you should maybe get some other TH-camrs to do voices in some cutscenes like Tyler (AttackingTucans). Of course that would be a pretty big accomplishment to get set up and get going though! Also, for some reason, whenever Luca Blight talks all I can think of is Emile (Chuggaaconroy) as his voice! xD
I guess it's a recording problem that whenever the screen fades to black some of the pixel update into color later than others in the recording. Same happens on my PC.
That's what I think he's doing anyway. Just because he always seems to have the needs of others in his dialogue and I don't think he would go on Luca's side for real after what he did to the Unicorn Brigade and Pilika's parents.
I think Jowy only did that to get on Luca's good side. And he only did THAT to overthrow him and make Highland peaceful. I can't hate Jowy. He went through so much, being conivicted as a spy, watching his friends in the Unicorn Brigade die, his family disowning him, being sentenced to death by them, and quite a bit more, he must have had his reasons to kill Annabelle and probably not for Luca Blight. He probably thought that was the only way and wouldn't go it otherwise. That's my theory anyway
