1st Step: Go into your sims 4 game and find all the broken cc and put it all on one sim. You may have to use multiple outfits. And save the character to your library. 2nd Step: Then download a program called The Sims 4 Tray Importer. 3rd Step: Make sure the program is using the right path (which is your mod folder) 4th Step: The program should show all your households you created so then click on the one that has all the broken CC. 5th Step: Then select all the CC and press your delete key. 6th Step (optional): Take a closer look at all your broken cc check if it says RECOLOR in it and maybe if you search it up and you can find the original piece of CC! hope this helps!
I tried this and I think I know why my cc was broken, while I was downloading cc I must've not noticed that it was for sims 3 and not sims 4 so when I downloaded it and checked the game it was broken but if I ever do get broken cc that wasn't because of that reason I'll come to this video because its so simple to follow! @@Darielle Well I did go cc shopping again recently and in my game my sims don't always listen to me and it may just be a glitch but i tried exiting the game and restarting it and stuff but they just will completely ignore what I tell them to do and only sometimes will listen so ill try this video out because it may just be broken cc even though I only downloaded cc for cas.

As of now, nothing shows for the tray importer and how to remove the broken CC, which is a huge problem for me because I really would like to get back to the sims but I can't because of this broken CC. It's just blank as soon as I open it and I use Windows 11. I don't know if I need to update it or not. Please help me.
Hello there! Did you install the latest version of Tray Importer? Please try to access the 64bit version if the other one does not work (there should be two versions when you install Tray Importer). Also, did you update your game? If so, please try go to your Tray Importer settings and choose the right path for your TS4 folder. Let me know if you need further help! 🤗

We can try to: - open the mods folder - search ts4script in the search bar - write down the names of each mod - delete every ts4script file - go into the sims 4 folder > delete localthumbcache (this is a temporary file) - google each mod & see if there are updates for them - install the updates If the issue persists, then we also need to identify that eyelash cc in the mods folder, write down its name, delete it, google it and install it once again 🙏

You will have to unmerge your files so that the program can find the exact individual problematic package file and then you can remove that file from your Mods folder
I have a bug where my options don’t even open, Like if i click on a sim nothing appears. Also i have the sims 4 clothing clutching as if it was a bad cc mod. Like regular sims clothing is glitched. Help please 😭 Also love your channel.
Sorry to hear that! Here are some tips that may help: First off, try taking out all of your script mods from your Mods folder and check if your game works fine. If so, you probably need to download the updated versions for those and install them. If that did not work, you can try to reset your EA folder and then place only updated versions for your mods, as shown in here: th-cam.com/video/-pCFvTcqQnQ/w-d-xo.html Keep in mind that you should not delete the old EA folder in order to copy all of your saves, tray, screenshots & cc and paste those into your newly generated EA folder. You could try to reset your Electronic Arts folder. Don't worry, I know it sounds a bit scary, but you won't lose anything if you do it as follows! 1. Rename your Electronic Arts folder into Electronic Arts folder (with your game completely closed & don't delete it!!) 2. Open your game 3. Close your game straightaway 4. A new EA folder should pop up 5. Go into your old EA folder > The Sims 4 > Saves > select all files + copy 6. Go into your new EA folder > The Sims 4 > Saves > paste your files The same thing needs to be done with your Tray and Screenshots files (go back into your EA old and copy your Tray files and then paste those into your new Tray folder and so on) 7. As for your mods & cc, please try not to copy any of your old SCRIPT mods. Try to redownload those and then install them into your new EA > The Sims 4 > Mods folder Most of your old cc should be fine, so you can copy those from your old Mods folder. What’s a mesh and how do i add it? I got new cc’s and they looked fine, but when i finished designing and played the game all my hair cc and the 3d eyelashes all turned into a black and orangey colour? when i did the tray importer it was red and said “MESH” beside it?
Hello there! So not all cc require a mesh, but if you download a cc that is a recolor, you'll be required to download that mesh in order for the required recolor to work properly if that makes sense! So no recolor will work without a mesh, but a cc mesh alone will work just fine without a recolor (a recolor basically adds some more colors/swatches to a cas item). I truly hope it makes sense!

Resetting your Sim (in live mode, press ctrl shift c at the same time, type in 'testingcheats true', enter, ctrl shift c once again, shift click your sin > reset object > shift click on your sim once again > cheat need > make happy) Let me know if any of these help!!
@@Darielle I have tried all those and it didn't work so I tried the 50/50 method and got down to 6 possible mods that cause the bug. Didn't find exactly which so to be safe I just deleted all six. The bug is gone and thanks to this video so is all my bad cc. Thank you Darielle!
Hi hello hey! So basically if one of your cc (or more cc) does MISS a mesh (meaning that you;ve only installed the recolor of that CC), you can simply download the mesh and your cc should be fine! But if the cc file is broken, we're gonna need to remove it & redownload it!
I have a question. Every time I try to open my sims 4 game and load an old save file, I get completely stuck on a loading screen and nothing happens. When I try to open CAS, my game crashes. My settings don't pop up either once I open it. Can you please help with this?
You can try to rename your Mods folder into Mods old (with your game completely closed) and do NOT delete your Mods old folder as you'll need to copy your files from there > open your game > close it straightaway > a new Mods folder should pop up. Here you need to paste all of your files that you have in your Mods old folder (but make sure you get rid of any outdated script mods that you might have beforehand and install the latest versions for them in the new Mods folder)
what do i do if i cant exit build mode or build? I also have no options at the bottom in the manage worlds. my "X" symbol to X out of things is not there. what is happeninggg🤧 ive been trying to fix this for days now.
This could be linked to having broken mods in the game Do you use mccc/ui cheats/more columns? Those ones usually get broken after update, so they need to be deleted & updated (download the latest versions & install them into the Mods folder)
This could be also solved by resetting the Mods folder I will write here the steps, fingers crossed this helps you 🙏🙏 1. Turn on cc & mods (if you cannot do that, skip the step & enable those after resetting the mods folder; if they are already enabled, we don’t need to enable them once again) 2. Rename the Mods folder into Mods old (keep the Mods old folder in your TS4 folder) - do this with your game completely closed 4. Launch the game & close it rightaway 6. A new Mods folder should appear in TS4 folder (make sure it has the resource.cfg file inside!) 7. Copy all of your cc - clothes and furniture - (but no script mods or functional cc, things like life mods, restaurant mods etc) from your Mods old to the newly generated Mods folder 8. Download the updates for the mods (if there are any! If there are not, we gotta be patient a bit & wait till those updates get released🙏) 9. Place your updated script mods into your newly generated Mods folder
I’m still confused because my broken mod is the base game ones. Not my cc. Like when I click on the base game faces, it gives that red and white error model
Ultimately, the best solution (in case the above don’t make a difference) is to reset the mods folder (keeping this one as a backup and getting a clean one)
Go to the website where you got your cc off and in that cc post there should be a section called 'mesh' (if you did download the recolor for that cc). Hope it makes sense!!
Ugh I’ve been using this but I can’t find a hair mod to remove it , it has no name for me to locate it and I’ve done all the steps you suggested and ever the studio and today I’m using exception right now to hopefully remove and find it but it’s becoming difficult
You can always try to install The Sims 4 Studio (a program that allows you to see all of your cc without opening the game) & delete that cc from there!
@@Darielle tried that and actually found a couple others to delete but this hair won’t shift , I did the 50/50 method next and nothing and I did the exception option next and now my game won’t work after I removed mods…. Hey there!! So we can alternatively use a program called TS4 Studio which enables you to see all of your cc! And it also allows you to delete the cc that shows up weirdly! only my script mods are showing up and when i go to cas obviously i don’t have any cc but i don’t even have the option to select view custom contain only and i have the cc allowed in settings

(If those end with rar/zip, those need to be unzipped by double clicking on them and putting those files into the Mods folder or by using a file extractor program to do so) 2. Do we have all of our cc into the main subfolder? (Like this Mods > cc.package NOT like this Mods > Clothes > cc.package) 3. Do we have the resource.cfg file inside the Mods folder? We can also try to reset the Mods folder (like keep the current one as a backup, but also generate another one where we are gonna paste our cc). I can write down the steps for that! @@Dariellei just tried to reset the mods folder but everytime i go to play the game now it’s saying i need to remove (cc name) it keeps saying that once i delete everything it tells me to and i ong know why because the mods were working before and it told me to get rid of more cas columns which obviously still works, but i’m so confused i’m still deleting what it tells me to right now and by the end of this i’m going to have no mods
Hello there! There's no need to put the tray importer in your game, you just have to install it and select the right path for your Electronic Arts folder so that your households/lots show up in there! Hope it makes sense!!
Did we update the game? If so, can we try to google the cc and see if we can redownload it? Then move the one that we have inside the Mods folder & paste the one that we've just downloaded? When I put my sims on the S4TI, some cc appear with a red dot and the file type is "Buff", "TXTR", "TXTM", "DDS2" and "LRLE". Is there any way to save them or unfortunately I will have to delete them?
Yes, there is one way to save them! So if you do have the proper names for those cc, you can google them & redownload them. Delete the problematic ones first and then put your redownloaded cc into your Mods folder, do let me know if there's anything I can help you with!
Is it a build/buy object? If so, have you tried enabling the testingcheats true & bb.moveobjects on? Did you remove the script mods that might be outdated from your Mods folder (such as MCCC, UI cheats, Slice of Life, WW and so on)? Then you can reinstall the latest versions for them
Don't worry, we all start from somewhere ^^ CAS means Create A Sim which is that screen that allows you to create your desired sims/family (after pressing the button 'New Game' on the game's homepage) CC means custom content which is downloaded content that can vary from clothes, furniture to traits that you can incorporate in your game in case you wanna have more clothes/furniture/features. There are multiple platforms where you can download those off of, the latest one being CurseForge, which is actually the official Sims 4 Hub where you can find custom content (hair, clothes, accessories to dress up your sims, furniture and so on) I genuinely hope it helps 🙏 Wishing you all the best!!

Hi there!! It isn't a cc, it's actually the base game one! Or are you referring to those ones that show up in the catalog? But if in your game it does show up as a cc, you can use a program called 'Sims 4 Tray Importer'. Basically all you need to do is install it, open your game, create your sim with the bra that you're talking about, save your sim to your library, exit the game. Now open ts4 tray importer, click on your sim that you've created, go to the CC section and that cc should show up in there! Right click on it, open file location and you can instantly identify it into your Mods folder! Hope it all makes sense!

my game not starting it says unable to start: cannot start because game data is missing or damaged. if you have mods installed please remove them and try again. when iremove the mods it works fine but with mods I get this message
Make sure you never put those script mods files back into your game. Instead, you can try to redownload them (& select the latest version for those) and reinstall them! Hope it helps!!
I got the same issue too. Try to put your mods in organized folders, then cut and paste them in another location other than mods to find the particular mod that's causing it if you have any recolor CC remove it.
You can find those by typing into the search field inside your Mods folder the word 'pose' and those should show up & you can simply delete them! So yes, a cc might not show up in the game due to the fact that some game packs were not installed/owned, if it says that for that specific cc is required a certain pack Hope I made sense 🙏
does anyone have a fix for downloaded sims that disappear? Hi there!! I've seen that luniversims does have a S4TI version for MacOS. However, I don't know exactly if it's working or not as I'm playing on Windows! I really need help my townies are walking around with no face just teeth and they think it’s the ea no lash mod well I took that out and that didn’t help and they told me to download the tray file thing and I don’t think that didn’t help either

Are those old cc? Some cc might not be compatible with your current version of your game or some require a mesh (if you've only downloaded the recolor of a cc), hope it makes sense
can you do a video on how to fix broken ui? like my sims phone is green when i click on it and the icons on the bottom such as the inventory button and calendar button are all broken and wonky

But I’m having issues where my cc looks fine in CAS but then I go into actual gameplay and a piece of cc is like stretching out from my sims body… And I don’t know exactly what it is thats doing it? Ahhh I see! Can you maybe set an exception inside your antivirus for your Downloads folder? This way you should be able to install it (assuming that you've downloaded your program into your Downloads folder)
okay so i have a question, i have over like 10,000 mods and cc, whenever i try to go into my home or even build mode my game takes me back to the select a world. the only thing that works is CAS. do you know if this would work or if i need to try something else?

@@Darielle Well I did go cc shopping again recently and in my game my sims don't always listen to me and it may just be a glitch but i tried exiting the game and restarting it and stuff but they just will completely ignore what I tell them to do and only sometimes will listen so ill try this video out because it may just be broken cc even though I only downloaded cc for cas.

As of now, nothing shows for the tray importer and how to remove the broken CC, which is a huge problem for me because I really would like to get back to the sims but I can't because of this broken CC. It's just blank as soon as I open it and I use Windows 11. I don't know if I need to update it or not. Please help me.
Hello there! Did you install the latest version of Tray Importer? Please try to access the 64bit version if the other one does not work (there should be two versions when you install Tray Importer). Also, did you update your game? If so, please try go to your Tray Importer settings and choose the right path for your TS4 folder. Let me know if you need further help! 🤗

what do i do when i put eyelashes on my sim and they look normal in cas but look like 2 blobs on their eyes in game [cc eyelashes]
We can try to:
- open the mods folder
- search ts4script in the search bar
- write down the names of each mod
- delete every ts4script file
- go into the sims 4 folder > delete localthumbcache (this is a temporary file)
- google each mod & see if there are updates for them
- install the updates
If the issue persists, then we also need to identify that eyelash cc in the mods folder, write down its name, delete it, google it and install it once again 🙏

You will have to unmerge your files so that the program can find the exact individual problematic package file and then you can remove that file from your Mods folder
I have a bug where my options don’t even open, Like if i click on a sim nothing appears. Also i have the sims 4 clothing clutching as if it was a bad cc mod. Like regular sims clothing is glitched. Help please 😭 Also love your channel.
Sorry to hear that! Here are some tips that may help:
First off, try taking out all of your script mods from your Mods folder and check if your game works fine. If so, you probably need to download the updated versions for those and install them.
If that did not work, you can try to reset your EA folder and then place only updated versions for your mods, as shown in here: th-cam.com/video/-pCFvTcqQnQ/w-d-xo.html
Keep in mind that you should not delete the old EA folder in order to copy all of your saves, tray, screenshots & cc and paste those into your newly generated EA folder.
The other alternative would be scanning your Mods folder by using this BE mod & deleting your files that show up in your report list (here's a helpful tutorial: th-cam.com/video/WncYhAAtKcM/w-d-xo.html)
Last but not least, if you haven't tried this already, there's also the 50/50 method that allows you to determine the problematic cc: th-cam.com/video/kp_fdyXQCfE/w-d-xo.html

You could try to reset your Electronic Arts folder. Don't worry, I know it sounds a bit scary, but you won't lose anything if you do it as follows!
1. Rename your Electronic Arts folder into Electronic Arts folder (with your game completely closed & don't delete it!!)
2. Open your game
3. Close your game straightaway
4. A new EA folder should pop up
5. Go into your old EA folder > The Sims 4 > Saves > select all files + copy
6. Go into your new EA folder > The Sims 4 > Saves > paste your files
The same thing needs to be done with your Tray and Screenshots files (go back into your EA old and copy your Tray files and then paste those into your new Tray folder and so on)
7. As for your mods & cc, please try not to copy any of your old SCRIPT mods. Try to redownload those and then install them into your new EA > The Sims 4 > Mods folder
Most of your old cc should be fine, so you can copy those from your old Mods folder.

What’s a mesh and how do i add it? I got new cc’s and they looked fine, but when i finished designing and played the game all my hair cc and the 3d eyelashes all turned into a black and orangey colour? when i did the tray importer it was red and said “MESH” beside it?
Hello there! So not all cc require a mesh, but if you download a cc that is a recolor, you'll be required to download that mesh in order for the required recolor to work properly if that makes sense! So no recolor will work without a mesh, but a cc mesh alone will work just fine without a recolor (a recolor basically adds some more colors/swatches to a cas item). I truly hope it makes sense!

Hello there! Have you tried:
1. Backing up your whole EA folder (just copy and paste it somewhere else)
2. Repairing your game via Origin/Steam
3. Resetting your Sim (in live mode, press ctrl shift c at the same time, type in 'testingcheats true', enter, ctrl shift c once again, shift click your sin > reset object > shift click on your sim once again > cheat need > make happy)

@@Darielle I have tried all those and it didn't work so I tried the 50/50 method and got down to 6 possible mods that cause the bug. Didn't find exactly which so to be safe I just deleted all six. The bug is gone and thanks to this video so is all my bad cc. Thank you Darielle!
For the mesh can I just download ts4 and it’ll fix all of that?
Hi hello hey! So basically if one of your cc (or more cc) does MISS a mesh (meaning that you;ve only installed the recolor of that CC), you can simply download the mesh and your cc should be fine!
But if the cc file is broken, we're gonna need to remove it & redownload it!
I have a question. Every time I try to open my sims 4 game and load an old save file, I get completely stuck on a loading screen and nothing happens. When I try to open CAS, my game crashes. My settings don't pop up either once I open it. Can you please help with this?
You can try to rename your Mods folder into Mods old (with your game completely closed) and do NOT delete your Mods old folder as you'll need to copy your files from there > open your game > close it straightaway > a new Mods folder should pop up. Here you need to paste all of your files that you have in your Mods old folder (but make sure you get rid of any outdated script mods that you might have beforehand and install the latest versions for them in the new Mods folder)

This could be linked to having broken mods in the game
Do you use mccc/ui cheats/more columns? Those ones usually get broken after update, so they need to be deleted & updated (download the latest versions & install them into the Mods folder)
This could be also solved by resetting the Mods folder
I will write here the steps, fingers crossed this helps you 🙏🙏
1. Turn on cc & mods (if you cannot do that, skip the step & enable those after resetting the mods folder; if they are already enabled, we don’t need to enable them once again)

3. Rename the Mods folder into Mods old (keep the Mods old folder in your TS4 folder) - do this with your game completely closed
4. Remove these files from The Sims 4 folder: localthumbcache & gameversion (this way we remove any temporary corrupted mod files, similar to getting rid of cache!)
5. Launch the game & close it rightaway
6. A new Mods folder should appear in TS4 folder (make sure it has the resource.cfg file inside!)
7. Copy all of your cc - clothes and furniture - (but no script mods or functional cc, things like life mods, restaurant mods etc) from your Mods old to the newly generated Mods folder
8. Download the updates for the mods (if there are any! If there are not, we gotta be patient a bit & wait till those updates get released🙏)
9. Place your updated script mods into your newly generated Mods folder

Go to the website where you got your cc off and in that cc post there should be a section called 'mesh' (if you did download the recolor for that cc). Hope it makes sense!!
Ugh I’ve been using this but I can’t find a hair mod to remove it , it has no name for me to locate it and I’ve done all the steps you suggested and ever the studio and today I’m using exception right now to hopefully remove and find it but it’s becoming difficult
You can always try to install The Sims 4 Studio (a program that allows you to see all of your cc without opening the game) & delete that cc from there!

And it also allows you to delete the cc that shows up weirdly!

Soo there are a couple of things we wanna check:
1. Do we have the cc unzipped? (If those end with rar/zip, those need to be unzipped by double clicking on them and putting those files into the Mods folder or by using a file extractor program to do so)
2. Do we have all of our cc into the main subfolder? (Like this Mods > cc.package
NOT like this Mods > Clothes > cc.package)
3. Do we have the resource.cfg file inside the Mods folder?
We can also try to reset the Mods folder (like keep the current one as a backup, but also generate another one where we are gonna paste our cc).
I can write down the steps for that! I truly hope this helps 🙏

@@Dariellei just tried to reset the mods folder but everytime i go to play the game now it’s saying i need to remove (cc name) it keeps saying that once i delete everything it tells
me to and i ong know why because the mods were working before and it told me to get rid of more cas columns which obviously still works, but i’m so confused i’m still deleting what it tells me to right now and by the end of this i’m going to have no mods
and some of the cc it’s telling me to delete i have on my old laptop and it all works on it??

When I put my sims on the S4TI, some cc appear with a red dot and the file type is "Buff", "TXTR", "TXTM", "DDS2" and "LRLE". Is there any way to save them or unfortunately I will have to delete them?
Yes, there is one way to save them! So if you do have the proper names for those cc, you can google them & redownload them. Delete the problematic ones first and then put your redownloaded cc into your Mods folder, do let me know if there's anything I can help you with!
What if the object turns red a d you cannot place them. It williterqlly not let you place it in game
Is it a build/buy object? If so, have you tried enabling the testingcheats true & bb.moveobjects on?
Did you remove the script mods that might be outdated from your Mods folder (such as MCCC, UI cheats, Slice of Life, WW and so on)? Then you can reinstall the latest versions for them

Don't worry, we all start from somewhere ^^ CAS means Create A Sim which is that screen that allows you to create your desired sims/family (after pressing the button 'New Game' on the game's homepage)
CC means custom content which is downloaded content that can vary from clothes, furniture to traits that you can incorporate in your game in case you wanna have more clothes/furniture/features. There are multiple platforms where you can download those off of, the latest one being CurseForge, which is actually the official Sims 4 Hub where you can find custom content (hair, clothes, accessories to dress up your sims, furniture and so on)

Hi there!! It isn't a cc, it's actually the base game one! Or are you referring to those ones that show up in the catalog?
But if in your game it does show up as a cc, you can use a program called 'Sims 4 Tray Importer'.
Basically all you need to do is install it, open your game, create your sim with the bra that you're talking about, save your sim to your library, exit the game.
Now open ts4 tray importer, click on your sim that you've created, go to the CC section and that cc should show up in there! Right click on it, open file location and you can instantly identify it into your Mods folder!
Hope it all makes sense!

I got the same issue too. Try to put your mods in organized folders, then cut and paste them in another location other than mods to find the particular mod that's causing it if you have any recolor CC remove it.

You can find those by typing into the search field inside your Mods folder the word 'pose' and those should show up & you can simply delete them!
If we ever wanna use them again, we need to keep an eye for the updates of these poses as well as for the latest andrew poseplayer mod ^^

thats the creator who made the cc problem not broken cc so you should be ok and just find another mod that doesnt clip
Could a broken CC is because some packs or DLC were not installed?
So yes, a cc might not show up in the game due to the fact that some game packs were not installed/owned, if it says that for that specific cc is required a certain pack

Hi there!! I've seen that luniversims does have a S4TI version for MacOS. However, I don't know exactly if it's working or not as I'm playing on Windows!
You can try the Sims 4 Studio for mac and manually delete those cc that appear odd on your character if that makes sense!

This did not help at all am sorry but I didn't give me much information about how to do it
1st Step: Go into your sims 4 game and find all the broken cc and put it all on one sim. You may have to use multiple outfits. And save the character to your library.
2nd Step: Then download a program called The Sims 4 Tray Importer.
3rd Step: Make sure the program is using the right path (which is your mod folder)
4th Step: The program should show all your households you created so then click on the one that has all the broken CC.
5th Step: Then select all the CC and press your delete key.
6th Step (optional): Take a closer look at all your broken cc check if it says RECOLOR in it and maybe you will be able to find the original if you search it up!

I think its UI cheats if you have it. I had it for a while but after I updated my game, the UI is all broken.

Idk if anyone will answer this as this video is now a year old. But I’m having issues where my cc looks fine in CAS but then I go into actual gameplay and a piece of cc is like stretching out from my sims body… And I don’t know exactly what it is thats doing it? And I’ve tried finding this issue but no one seems to know much. If anyone can help me know how to find what’s broken it would be appreciated 😊

okay so i have a question, i have over like 10,000 mods and cc, whenever i try to go into my home or even build mode my game takes me back to the select a world. the only thing that works is CAS. do you know if this would work or if i need to try something else?
