can you link the website you got the screen from?
Thank you for the video, sir. I just repaired my own phone. Took me about an hour very easy to do with your instructions. Awesome video 5 stars, brother, you saved me $400.
Where did you get the replacement screen and how much are they?
@SuperMarioFan72 did u ever find one?
@EastSide_LB no, my screen is shattered but I can still use it with no issues other than it looks bad
AWESOME VIDEO. Thank you. I can understand you clearly. Your camera angle is perfect. Focused in and I can see exactly what your doing. I appreciate you not being condescending. Thank you for that. I like that the S22 ultra adhesive will work for the S23 Ultra. Very cool. Your a class act my friend. Keep up the awesome work. You must have a grip of happy customers. Thank you again.
👍
thanks a lot for taking your time explaining everything i have replace up to the s22 ultra i just wanted to make sure there is no surprises on this new phone its always good to watch a video when available., thanks a lot for sharing and hope God keep blessing your business
This guy repaired my phone. He is one of the best. Honest and skilled person
Where is he located please?
Nice video.THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IS EXTREMELY DISTRACTING AND ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
Very informative video. With the right tools, you made it easy to repair my phone. Thanks again!
I love it this tutorial very nice Ang clear I learned a lot
Thank you for the video. I was able to replace my Samsung S23 Ultra screen andmain camera. Saved me a few bucks.
Thank you so much for making this video ❤
👍
hi thanks for share the video, where can i buy the screen?
I came to watch this video to see how you put the back on and that's the only part that you left out haven't said I do not have that seal with my replacement kit can I order it or can I use alternatives for glue and if so what alternatives would work the best
@richardmeza my screen is blacked out but vibrates as I press the power button and attempt to restart it. Can you help?
I don't know if you're old enough to remember the Motorola v60? The one with the antenna that broke all the time, that's where I started my cell phone repair, it started with that phone and from there it branched out into all the other phones and let me tell you it was so difficult to find parts back then. Now you can get parts from everywhere but back then, you had to search China for those parts.
Do you do mail in? If so typically a price range for a screen replacement. Cracked mine and screen is starting to turn black
This is the best S23 ultra screen replacement I have watched. I wanted that long and detailed video, not the 7 minute ones.
Thank you for this.
However I have two questions.
1. Front camera is without silicone, will not it move around while shaking the phone?
2. When you put back glass on the phone do you use some pressure clamps to make sure it is tied.
3. Which one is better to take of the back glass? Heating up or alcohol?
Answers to questions.
#1 front camera won't move around.
#2 if I use glue like you see on newer videos, I do clamp it down for back glass.
#3 I use only heat when removing back glass. I don't use alcohol at all when removing back glass.
The original battery adhesive serves the purpose of removing heat from battery. It is likely some silicone based stuff.
Yup, it really hurt me seeing it cut with new ahesive in between. It's horrible to have to replace a screen, the phone is not going to perform the same EVER again.
Dope skills 👏
Where did u get the screen? I see this one is the us version .. do u have the link?
hi where can i the replacement lcd thank u
does it have an effect like bad touch screen with new lcd? please help answer me
Can you please assist which one is better/safer for phone and easier to do: Heating up the back panel or use alcohol?
I would presume alcohol. Heating a lithium ion battery wouldn't be the wisest choice.
18:00 did you face any issue regarding selfie camera? Cause replacing mine had it collect dust later on. Maybe removing silicon made a gap which let's dust go in easily. Not sure if it's some other reason, as the display was aslo changed.
Do you have the amazon link to the dual sided adhesive? I want to make sure I get the right thickness. Thx
the orange dual sided tape that you used 3 cut pieces that is.
WHERE DO YOU GET PHONE PARTS
Where's do you recommend buying the screen replacement?
Very good
👍👍
@@RichardMezabro your a rip of why are you replacing ppl phone screen with fake replacement screens??????
what is the use of silicone on the front camera? 14:18
we lose something if we don't put it back during the repair?
Nice video!
I'm not sure? Maybe for stability when moving or running?
to hold it in place.
Same thing happened to mine, barely dropped 5 inches
Ya just happened to me today. It fell about a foot, but on soft ground. These screens are full grade 100% pos material. My S21 was dropped maybe 30 times from 5-7 feet on hardwood and laminate. Never cracked once.
Same here, mine literally cracked in my pocket without any pressure. Utter nonsense.
Mine crack last week but its not as bad
Just got this phone and droped from bed mby less than 1feat and it cracked
At least they're easier to fix now 🤷🏽♂️🤦
Same thing happened to mine in the same exact spots but only the bottom half was flashing green but they told me I also needed a firing spring and the total was 430 dollars! I don't know if I got finessed or not but lesson learned.
should i buy parts to fix phones and stuff prior or do i order the part when i get the phone
When you are first learning to fix phones?
@richard Where to buy OEM screen replacement?
The screen he used isnt original
Can you do a regular s23 screen replacement
Will this video be uploaded into the course platform?
Yes I can upload it there too.
Where can i find the replacement parts?
Are the antennas not connected to the frame to enhance signal?
You mean the 2 screws for the 5G antenna? The Reception is fine. That antenna is plugged into the motherboard and the motherboard has all the contact points touching the frame for reception.
@@RichardMeza thanks made it clear for me
Hey, Richard, what do I do when I hit my phone and it starts to make some parts of the screen static or freeze? Cause, uhm, I did that and I regret it, so like, if you could either make a video on this, or respond to this comment, I would love it.
please, how did you fix it without going to the phone store..... i dropped my phone on the side of the toilet and it broke, wont the lower half and now only half of the screen is flashing green and the other half wont turn on or even respond to touch. please do i have to go to the phone store ASAP or not.
What screwdriver was you using after you initially got the back cover off?
Cell phone screwdriver model "PH000"
@@RichardMeza thanks man appreciate it :))
Now I know why it costs over $400 to replace the screen. A lot of work just to replace glass. Thanks for the video.
Witch temperature you heat back glass?
Temperature is hot. I dont really know. I just blow hot air on it.
Will the cell phone still have the same water resistance rating after the repair?
Id like to know this as well
I don't think so unfortunately
Hi. Did the fingerprint sensor work after the repair?
Yes, sure does. Everything works perfect. The fingerprint reader is built into the new screen.
Sometimes you have to restart the phone a couple times with some phones. I had that issue as well
Could you tell me where you got the screen?
He claims to always put the link to the seller in description but never does. If you ask him where to get it he ignores your question but always answers everyone else's questions. Lol
Its a fake screen if he did the scam in my country he will surely pay for ripping me off
Hello, I am from Iraq and I watch your videos. I have a question. When I insert the SIM card key into the wrong slot, is the device no longer waterproof?
It is no longer waterproof after this repair. You will need a factory repair from Samsung if you want the phone to be waterproof again.
Why is it so annoying to change a screen... Im not looking forward to doing it later today.. even with this excellent video to help me.
after the repair is it still water resistant ??
No. You can splash water on it, but don't put it under water.
Not me watching how to replace the screen on my broken S23 😅
😂 me too
I have had my S23 Ultra in to have the screen replaced. Everything worked on it before repair, it was just cracked. The tech has put 3 different screens on from different companies. The torch screen will not work. I can only use it via s pen. He admittedly has never repaired an S23 ultra. What is he missing bc at this point, we know the screens being sent are not defective. Please please help..
Mine just broke from the same spot. I have had 20 plus Samsung phones and have dropped most of them. This one broke so easy.. terrible
The curved screen phones are known to crack on the curved side.
Do you sell these screen replacements?
No. I buy them through a company.
@@RichardMeza you a scam those screen arent original buddy
@@JohnWick-jo8hy You're the SCAM
When you do a screen replacement, does the phone get factory reset
no
Wrong part you got there
The screw housing ought to be there you didn't get the correct part I guess
Anyways you are Great
Good work 👍😎
Will the Fingerprint works again?
Yes the fingerprint works. The new screen comes with a new fingerprint scanner built into the screen. No need to calibrate. As long as you don't buy the generic low cost aftermarket screens.
does it still water resistant?
You can splash water on it, but after the repair do not take it underneath water.
Just dropped my phone, and broke the screen. Thanks for The help, now just two more weeks before my screen arrives. Lol
Thank you for showing me that I'm not going to do this... 😆😆😆
👍
Followed exactly but now won't even power on???when plugged into charger it shows charging symbol as normal and is 100% charged ??????please help someone
All I did was place mine on the table then picked it up and it had a Crack in the screen. My hubby went to remove the screen protector and knowmit had a black spot in the screen near the area the Crack is at. 😢
is it stil waterproof after the screen repair?
No. After you open the phone to do any repair, it's no longer waterproof. In order to keep the waterproofing for as long as you can, don't ever break your phone.
@@RichardMezathank you
@RichardMeza so even hairline cracks on the screen means the phones nolonger water resistant
Can you not just replace the cracked front screen?
What do you mean? Just only replacing the glass and not the actual display?
@RichardMeza I did but now it had a black spot so that definitely isn't gonna work. Thanks.
Happened to mine. The phone would have survived this small drop fine had it has a glass.screen protector. Samsungs curved sides make these a pain to apply.
Where can you buy replacement screen for 265? The lowest I've seen is over 280.
They're actually $235 now. Just checked. Cost of parts went down in 1 week since I uploaded this video. DM me on IG and I'll show you.
@@RichardMeza I don't have a IG account.
The reason why the screens are only 265 for him is because he is a business so he gets them at discount rates.
Lol. I take it he is charging for the info to buy the screens. Its the only question he will not answer in his comments. He actually ignores that question
Anyone know what size screwdriver bit hes using need to get the right size ready for my screen to arrive
It's just a regular screwdriver. It's model PH000 cell phone screwdriver. You can buy one on Ebay or Amazon.
May i ask everyone that dropped their unit if they have a protective case on it? Im paranoid now. 5-6 inches drop WTF!!!!!!!
Yes. Otterbox Defender case. S23 Ultra screens are junk
Really good video man but just curious ...... I see screen replacement kits on Amazon like $35 ....... But you're saying $200 plus??? ...... What gives??
Can't believe my screen cracked after only 2 or 3 months ..... I don't recall dropping or bumping it either...... Gorilla glass huh 🙄
Thanks again
Link the part from Amazon here so I can see it.
@@RichardMeza I linked but TH-cam apparently deleted it ...... because they probably thought it was spam 🤷🏻🥴
The cheapest option is glass only which is nearly impossible to separate without destroying the thin digitizer as it is bonded to the backside. The next cheapest is a bonded screen and digitizer with no frame. It can be difficult to correctly bond and align the screen to the frame and diy adhesive is prone to separation over time. The most expensive is a screen and frame which is recommended and used here. Guessing the link you found is only the glass shell which no professional repair tech will attempt.
Can you use cheaper parts for same result?
Did it loose any face eecogntion abilities or touch id?
No. Phone works as if we're brand new. The new screen already comes with the fingerprint scanner already built into the screen. Face recognition works perfect too.
@@RichardMeza and what of water resistance
Samsung S22 Ultra and Samsung S23 Ultra have a manufacturing defect in the thin screen and are subject to breakage at any moment
You right. Past week my dumbass for some reason has been dropping my phone lately. Never had a phone crack so easily, but it's all due to them still wanting to use a curve screen, despite no one wanting it anymore. Follow Apple go flat, glass screen protectors are a pain to put on these things I didn't even want to try, but look at where they ended up leaving ultra users now.
New phones puttin phone repair guys back in business, them glass sandwich phones was horrible to work on
Ran mine over with a UPS truck at work, completely by accident. Slipped out of my pocket.
Back glass & cameras are perfectly intact. Front screen is destroyed. Lol
The service center guy gave me 2 options to fix the S23 ultra cracked screen. 1) To just replace the screen as my frame is intact (low cost) 2) To replace the screen and frame together (high cost). Clearly the first option is better in terms of cost effectiveness. However, he indicated option 1 might not hold same water resistant properties as the original phone. Any thoughts?
Both options are not water proof after the repair.
What repair place gave you two options? Every repair place I called quoted me anywhere from $390 to $450 for the service pack option. I'm not aware of a low cost option. My phone is only 9 mos old and cracked after I dropped it encased in an Otterbox Defender case. The newer generation of phones are complete garbage compared to my S7 Edge that went through hell and back with zero issues.
@@alphacentauri8083 As I understand it the *correct* way to do this replacement is to get the screen/frame assembly and transfer everything over to the new frame as we have seen in this video. An alternative way is to use a thin wire to get under the front glass and scrape it off then attach a new one. It is cheaper because instead of the entire frame and digitizer (touchscreen mechanism) you are only buying a glass panel. However, the method of removing it is janky at best and could potentially cause further damage to the screen since you are scraping in between the LCD/OLED and the glass, so most businesses don't even recognize it as a viable option.
Was the replacement screen an original samsung part? Pls enlighten me on replacement screen quality as I plan to buy a used one but afraid it might be a refurbished one. From what I heard, replacement screens just arent the same quality both in glass smoothness, clarity and color quality
The ones I buy Samsung service pack. I show that in the video. They are not refurbished. They are brand new screens.
@@RichardMeza thank you. Is there a way to check in the phone's software if the screen has been replaced?
his lying
@@JohnWick-jo8hy You're mom lied to you. Hater, commenting all over my videos. Thanks for pushing my videos to more people. Hater🤣
@@RichardMeza where did you purchase that screen????
Dropped 2 feet above the ground and now I can't use the top part of my screen
Add another roughly 2 feet away from ground. Samsung should issue a recall. Obviously this is a problem
Alot of these phones break on the curved part of the screen. The phone case doesn't cover that part since your supposed to use the edge screen although most people I know including me when I had a curved screen phone, we never used it. Also turned off the edge icons so they don't accidently swipe and activate. I also had a Samsung Note and I never used the S Pen either.
S23 ultra is the most fragile phone I've ever owned. Despite being in otterbox defender with screen protector and never being dropped or stressed. Noticed superfine spiderweb cracks from the bottom right corner where the known screen defect is. $300 to repair. After being with Samsung 22 years I'm tapping out, too fragile.
All phones break. They all have Gorilla Glass. All the brands, Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola.
I have worse experience with apple. Apple phone cracks back screen is a 500 dolar repair
Lmao I was just walking casually with my phone in my pocket, fell out of my pocket, and then boom shattered 😭😭
I agree. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the most fragile phone I've ever owned in my life. Taking it on the motorcycle messed up the focus on the camera, so now I have to tap the screen multiple times for it to focus, and dropping it off the grill on to the stone patio while in an Otterbox (no screen protector) shattered the left corner of the screen. The crack is spiderwebbing it's way all the way down the side of the phone. The phone seems to be made very cheaply. There will be a day when we'll be able to replace our screens as easily as we can replace our cases. Just pop the old one off and put the new one on.
@@Quincy_The_Catsame exact issue for me. I'm not happy with s23.ultra
I just sent mine to repairs. And All I'm seeing in these videos terrifies me. I fear I will get an uncleanable finger smudge inside the lenses as they all seem to touch them carelessly. There is no single video where they don't do that.
I have very good sight and would instantly notice a tiny drop of dust inside :C
Finger smudge where though? The cameras?
@@RichardMeza Got it today repaired from an official center. It definitelly came with the cameras filled with dust inside. I feel the URGE to return it so they open it up again and clean before reasembling.... so pissed of as they carged me $480 for such a bad job.
I came to the conclusion everybody is blind at short distances, the dust inside is so obvious I can't believe they are not able to see . OMG
Disappointment of a phone. S7active wsvthe best Samsung phone i ever had
You shouldn't need to use alcohol to take the battery out, they actually made them removable this time lol
First day drop had a shitty case. The only one they sold at the time
Whoa! I almost got a seizure watching that intro, Richard! LOL!
That was no 6 inch drop 😂😂
Yeah it probably was. I cracked my s23 the same damn way. It's going to cost 400 to fix it :/
Same here
Amazon has this screen for $50. $265 please
Your wrong. Your looking at a piece of glass or a screen protector. Put the link here then.
Where's the link from Amazon? I'm still waiting. . .
lol i think she just meant the glass... definitely not a samsung replacement screen with digitizer and all... haha some people will comment anything before doing due deligence...
I saw this too and was wondering if it's just the glass thats cracked in the front will that work? I need to replace mine but Idk what I need to get. It's just the glass that's broken. The screen display is still ok
@@christaamato1229 The glass and Oled display are fused and glued together. You need special refurbishing equipment and experience skills in order to do that type of glass only repair.
101 steps...very complex. Samsung typically design it so the average person cant fix it. They make money on parts.
The replacement screen isnt original
Its the most fragile phone I ever have , its dropped from 5 inches and the dam screen has been broken...
You're phone broke that way? In this video I believe the guy dropped it 6 inches from the floor. I actually fixed one of these yesterday. Didn't ask them how it broke though.
My stupid bloody dog made me drop my phone. Now there's a scratch on my screen
Dogs are way cooler and more important than your damn phone.
This was 4 months ago, okay? I've gotten over it.. .
More like 6ft or he dropped it opening the car door onto concrete. 6 inch would never do that damage.
You wouldnt think so but unfortunately the exact same situation happened to me and the same amount of damage
Worst phone ever, screen broke wid a slight bang
