Wan Mhmd Luqman Hakim Luqman well the worlds fastest violinist is a sacrilegious dude who cant play violin and only cares about how fast his notes are. Playing fast and smiling, that aint hard. Playing at the right speed while maintaining rhythm and beautiful tone all while coordinating with the piano IS, and that what makes an expert an ACTUAL expert. Playing fast smiling needs less focus than paying attention to your tone, intonation, rhythm, dynamic, and musical portrayal. Basic violin knowledge. You should watch twoset if you didnt already know this.

Also, I played viola(very similar to violin) and it really wasn’t that difficult, just uncomfortable
elena if it’s uncomfortable, then dont do it. Playing a shoulder instrument is better played with nice flow and fluent motion. She doesn’t want it hindering her playing. Its just not a natural thing that most shoulder instruments do while playing.
