Keenan Wynn was so young here I didn't recognize his younger voice from his famous deeper voice that he had when he was older. And most us who knew/watched him in movies/TV shows starting from in the mid 1950s to up until his death in 1986 didn't even need to see who it was with that certain voice of his to know it was him on the screen. Just like with Orson Wells famous voice. I grew up watching Keenan in a wide range of movies/TV shows, including Disney ones he starred in as the bad guy most of the time, mostly in comedies. But also a certain amount where he wasn't one and it was a serious drama too. He worked busily right up to 1986 when he died at the age of 70. RIP Keenan. Interesting fact was that the actor Ed Wynn was Keenan's father and I don't even remember that either before.
I love this story and original print version is a short, quick read. Two or three decent audiobook recordings are also available on TH-cam, as well as the "Escape" OTR version. And so is the 1933 film version, some of which was filmed on the same jungle sets as King Kong!" There are a few film adaptations, none of which are as good as the original. However, "Bloodlust!, from 1961, is an entertainingly lurid and so-bad-it's-good reworking of the original story. This version, starring Orson Wells is one of the best.
Nothing better than wonderful narrators and a great storyline! Love these old audio stories! 💗
One of the best I've heard.
This is great! I love how much of the story is handled without narration in the conversation scene.

And I can't tell you how happy I am to meet YOU Mr Rainsford ..👿
Mr Rainsford had no idea who he was talking to.
Loved Welles.
A good story about the psychology and morality of killing, which is suggested by the last line in the radio show.
Orson Welles was a truly special performer
"I shall be back." Did the writers of Terminator listen to this or read the book?
Orson Welles was almost always good 😊
Unduly macabre 😖
You got lucky.
