    Great clarity of tone from this pressing/transfer and it's thus easy to hear Roppolo's style, especially the intense vibrato. Great to imagine this being done in the old inadequate Richmond Studios, but this proves they did the job! Belated thanks!

    This is one of my absolute favourites from this band, or any at all. It’s such an exciting recording, the Bugle call really has a great feel and overall it’s simply a great record as where all the NORKs

      I believe that is a trumpet hat mute.

      @@silaskuemmerle2505 Exactly - sometimes called a Derby mute - because the in the US they call a bowler hat, which it's shaped like, a Derby hat.

    Great sound quality. Someone has a good quality original pressing, eh? I'd love to have enough money to go to these auctions where they buy and sell rare recordings

    Under-rated rhythm section. Black drives the band without sounding hokey or intrusive.
