Ive had MS since I was 19 and it's almost my 10 year anniversary. This will be my first time committing to being treated for this. I have a lot of anxiety around medicines for a variety of reasons. After my last relapse turned my life upside down, I knew I had to just be an adult and accept that I need to be treated. Thanks for this vid. It's given a lot of insight, especially the part about the possible heightened risk of infection. Kesimpta or Ocrevus are what I've narrowed it to. Still have a few days to decide 🙂
Hi, how are you coping with Kesimta? My husband took 4 injections and his immun count went too low. The team stopped him and has no MS medication for 3 months now. Wonder how others are doing. Thanks!
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience with us . A year after my diagnosis, I finally find a voice that brings me comfort and shares my lifestyle. I’m actually leaving my job for a long-term, 10-month trip to Southeast Asia. Thanks again for your commitment. xx :)
This has to be the most relatable video I’ve watched, so thank you! I was diagnosed last March and I’m a similar age to yourself, I recently started my DMT (Tecfidera) which is 2 daily tablets but it has made an instant impact in ways I didn’t even think it would. My MRI is in March and if it hasn’t shown improvement then Kesimpta will be the next one. So glad to hear the disease isn’t impacting your travels 🤛
Thank for sharing your story. I chose Kesimpta because I hope to get pregnant in the next few years. I was told the meds have to run the course out of your system before pregnancy. An infusion means you would have to wait 6 months, whereas with the injection you can try for pregnancy 30 days after your last shot. I’m 40 so time is running out. Anyway, I hope that helps others make a decision. I haven’t had a single side effect. I’m on month 8.
Hey, old comment, but wanted to toss something in! I was told by my neurologist (ignore the username, I'm female) that ocrevus is okay for pregnancy! There are even some studies about to come out that support that you can breast feed on it. He said that some doctors have an overabundance of caution/aren't following the studies and that I can get pregnant immediately on it. Maybe a month after my dose and then try ASAP. Get my next dose as soon as I have the baby. Thought I'd just drop what my doc shared :)
Hey so i started Kesimpta on the 12th of August this year i’m so excited. Being in capaxzone before was really challenging as it hard to remember to take the injections 3 days a week especially since i forget things now. So definitely fits in to my busy university life and Health and fitness
I started Kesimpta today 🎉 so good to hear some mine that’s taking the same drug, with a positive mindset and positive feedback!! I’m off to bed haha, I made it 5 hours past injection now i need a nap.
Great video!!! Thank u for this! Ive just started too this week and woke up feelin bit meh! Alot of hot and cold chills and runny nose! But im glad i decided to go on this! Good luck with ur mri results! ❤️❤️
I have been taking Kesimpta for 2 years, I was previously on Ocrevus for 1 year but I had a allergic reaction to the infusion. No problems at all with Kesimpta.
Thank you for this video, i have ms for 12 years and need to switch medications and this is one of my options. Thank you for the info! take care and keep doing what your doing!
I have MS for about 2 years now & my doc says we have to switch from copaxone to kesimpta and i am really scared but i hope this will help me to live my life peacefully

I’m so scared of getting PML🫣😩 I’ve been on Copaxone for 7 years I was also diagnosed in my early 20s but I just can’t keep up anymore with every other day injections. I’m switching to Kesimpta but again I’m so terrified of the more rare side effects , thank you for sharing !
Ugh ... I've been diagnosed with MS for 4 or 5 years now, and they started me with Copaxone.. after 6 months I stopped and moved to Tysabri (monthly IV) because Copaxone is THE WORST!!!!! It HURTS! .. and is SO HARD and ANNOYING to do the injections.. and they HURT... I hated it! Just moved me to Ocrevus this past month because my JCV numbers quadrupled in 2 months, and I panicked - PML fear is the WORST.. 1 in 4 die if you get it, and the doctor said the other 3 out of 4 that survive WILL have some level of neurological issue (mild to severe)... MS is the WORST.. it's horrible.. my left forearm and last two fingers have been tingling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week the entire 4-5 years and it drives me crazy.. at times I just break down and cry.. I really wish they'd work on a cure.. (((cry)))....
Thank you so much for your video; a lot of valuable information. My previous meditation I experienced a lot of the side effects, and now the neurologist is recommending Kesimpta. I’m worried about this as the side effects are similar to Ocrevus, which I’m changing now. Thank you
Just finished loading doses... debating on continuing.... flu for 3-4 days. Cold like symptoms really bad for 3 weeks and nothing stops the running nose. So glad I can work from home but insane side effects.... and destroys your immunity... wtf... nurses didn’t tell me until my training session.
Optical nerve is part of your eyes , had 3 cases of optical nueritis over 30years ago & it wasn’t known it was early warning signs of me having Mltuple sclerosis, diagnosed 1998 , still rrms, 2024, 7 years later good results with tysabri & now Nuerologist wants me to change to me kesempta ?,not too sure about change
My nuerologist is trying to get me off tysabri, been on it @7+years 4 Kesempta or ocrevus?, but I’m really hesitant to change , think he’s getting kickback from drug companies now I’ve read your comments, seems too much of coincidence that you’re also been suggested to change also!
Hello I’m Courtney, I just stumbled across your channel by accident but happy to have found it. I was diagnosed at 21 after loosing most motion in the left side of my body. I started on tysabri but afew months ago got changed to Ocrevus ( similar drug to what you are on). Unfortunately when I was diagnosed I was also struggling with a binging disorder and have only recently been able to overcome this and loose 20 plus kgs but still have a long road to go. I’m interested to know what diet that you follow as I have recently started trying an anti inflammatory diet but have no idea where to start! I’ve just started by going gluten and dairy free and that is helping abit so far 😊
Hey, just got diagnosed with MS and went with Kesimpta. Like you, after my very first dose, the next morning I had a headache and some light flu-like symptoms, but by the end of the day, I was feeling fine again. I am happy to report, though, that those symptoms did not return for any other injection after that!
Firs of all thank you for the detailed overview! I am starting on Kesimpta in a few weeks but I am travelling about 70% of my time for work, would you be able to share the flask which you are referring to which you use to keep the medication cool during travel?
Good luck! Here's the link www.amazon.com.au/DISONCARE-Approved-Diabetic-Medication-Organizer/dp/B07MK15GK4 - if it's out of stock on amazon i think they have their own website too
Hi Charlie Thank you your testimonial, I will start with Kesimpta in 2 or 3 weeks. Some patients said that they had pb in lungs for long time after taking Kesimpta, was that your case too? I am a Little bit worry about this point 🥴 Thsnks you ❤
Thank you for sharing your experience with Kesimpta! I was diagnosed 17 years ago and was on Rebif before starting Kesimpta 6 months ago which has life changing. I’m so happy you didn’t have to try other DMTs before Kesimpta. If you don’t mind me asking, what type of diet do you follow to help you feel well with MS?
I hope it goes well! Just make sure you take it on a day you have nothing on, a few hours before you go to bed, so you can sleep through most of the side-effects xx
it's so scary, but it does get easier - this drug could really help so try and be as positive as possible!! i hope it goes well for you! @@stephanies1474
Thank you for this video, Charlie! I also had a *rough* first injection with side effects, but side effects have gotten better just like yours. Have you found the injections painful? I just did my third loading dose last night and the last few seconds of the injection hurt so bad! Definitely hoping it gets better, but curious about your experience :)
i haven't found them painful, but sometimes i get a slight reaction. maybe the place you're doing it needs to change or the medication could be too cold? xx

Thank you. I rarely ever got sick as a kid and then was diagnosed with RRMS 4 years ago to make up for it. 🫤 Due to moving, my neurologist is switching me to Kesimpta from Ocrevus. I'm nervous about getting sick and more prone to infections.
