I discovered this channel about two weeks ago and have already watched all of your big road trip series. Loved them. Looking forward to seeing all of it.
Have always loved those Vans! Growing up in SoCal they were popular with the surfing community. I fell in love with them when I saw them loaded up with surf boards ready for adventure! Thx Clay for featuring this! Way cool 😎!
So cool to see this. The VW Vanagon Syncro was probably the best overland vehicle I've ever owned. I had the non camper version and the places it could take you is amazing.
Great vid. Thought I found the perfect wedding gift for Mrs until i saw the price of some of these. Between 20-35k!?!?! WOW had no idea these were so expensive, maybe i'll just buy new tires for my Taco instead. Cool little vans though.
When VW designed and built the van on an 80bhp engine, the brakes worked fine. When you upgrade the engine to double the Bhp, yep you need to upgrade the brakes! School boy mechanics really.
well kinda...it comes down to lockers. Syncro's can come with no lockers, just rear, front, both rear and front, or the holy grail rear/front lockers and a decoupler.
Finally!! whoop whoop! *Where my VW pilots at?!*

What a cool series. I had to crack a beer watching this with you guys
Such a cool van!
Great van!
What's amazing is that thing made it up to monument peak, Independence, MT. The place that @xoveraland visited their first season.
That was a great interview.
Awesome set up!
Awesome !
Rad ride. Love the Subee-swap
Love it!
No way! I’ve been listening to Andrew's podcast for a couple of years and boom, here he is! Small world...
Thanks for listening Shea! :-)

Awesome thanks
Nice van! I like it! I would do an engine detailing, I guess
Yeah, engine wasn't too polished. Could definitely use one of those.
Andrew, who did your engine swap? Rocky Mountain Westy?
Hey Jeff! Was done by Buslab in CA.
What kind of chairs?
Oh look! It's NOT a tacoma!!!! 😂
Please tell me this video is here because Toyota plans to make a similar van
I would want the 2.2 Subaru, it’s bulletproof where as the 2.5 has issues!

FURST
Syncro = 4wd. There is no other option of the Syncro.

Omg I'm First!
Wow, I was talked out of one of these on this show. I’ll stick with reliability over charisma.
