This 87 m-TDI VW Syncro has a Reimo insulated high top installed by Reimo in Germany. It also has a Reimo cabinet build. It features instant hot water, a furnace, 65 lt truck fridge, 2 best with a kit cot up front, shower out the back, 235 watts of solar, 155 amp hour battery, underslung fresh and gray water tanks and much more.
This van can go anywhere and is perfect for the beach bum and ski bum alike.

Lukas Winkel Nice! Yes, the van sold to a great couple leaving for a year long US trip. I have a KTM 640 adventure. The 990 is an amazing bike. I’d like to Get a 110 but recently picked up a Land Cruiser 100. Sounds like we are on the same wave length! Are you still into Syncros at all? Are you in Germany still?

Very nice rig. I have a 1987 Syncro tintop that I bought new. I have been wanting to find a place to put a TDI in it as you have done. Sadly, here in SW Florida I can't find a shop to do it for me.
Thanks! Do the TDI swap. It makes such a difference. Way more power on the hills, the brakes are stronger because the vacuum system is more powerful and you get great fuel economy. It's well worth the investment.
Oh I want to do it. I just can't find a shop locally that knows which end the engine goes in.
What mpg are you getting? (good vid).
Douglas Knoyle easily 21mpg around town and 25mpg on the highway. I usually fill up around 360 miles, which is much farther than the gas westys. They get around 225 miles per tank.

Jan Jaap You gotta pay to play... I did. No one ever said Syncro's were cheap. They are incredibly versatile and fun, but every thing costs money.
i know, i really liked your video, always tought the T3 looks horrible. But this one looks so nice and clean. But i will always choose for a classic camper like the T2 or T3 over a modern camper because the looks of it. Thank you for your video anyway!
