- Hey lovelies💕💕 Today I will be making some Authentic Jamaican Curry Goat. It is a beloved Caribbean meal made of stewed goat meat, and chunks of potatoes in a thick, savory curry sauce. This flavoured dish is marinated overnight in Jamaican spices and then slow-cooked until it’s fall-off-the-bone tender. Serve for dinner with a side of white rice and plantains.
GIVE IT A TRY...... ENJOY 🥰🥰

Very good curry goat cooking. Looks delicious too. Just like mine ❤️❤️
Nice food ❤❤
So is there a big difference if you don't use coconut milk? I usually use it.
I never add coconut milk in my curry goat. It doesn’t need it, that’s just my preference. If you add it it’s up to you.
The authentic flavour is just our Jamaican way. The flavour of the curried goat does not need additional flavour enhancers. 🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Jamaicans dont put coconut milk when cooking any meat. We do in shripms, salt fish rundown,(oil down) but not red meat.
Look nice sis
Thank you
Thanks for sharing
Anyway thought I would share a little
Question: Why didn't you add the potatoes and veggies during the 3rd round of adding water? Why after the 3rd round of water?
Because it was still hard, it needed to be tender before you add those veggies.
So that you don't get mashed potatoes. Potatoes need to soft but not mushy. 🤣🤣🤣 💯💯💯🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Because the potatoes need to be firm not mushie. Then the gravey would be too thick.
Hi jody hope your good. Food tun up ❤
Heyyy I’m doing good thank you ☺️ glad you enjoyed it. Much love and respect ✊🏽
Good video
Just a half cup of fresh coconut milk, and that take it to cloud 9
That’s so very pretty
@@constantiahenderson5504 thank you 😊
Gyal wha gwaan with you? you spoil up de flavor of de curry goat with carrots!!
Heeyyy there, thank you for taking the time out to watch but each and everyone cook different . If you don’t eat carrots when making curry all you have to do is don’t add carrots in yours I personally cook to my preference. Thank you.
How many pounds of goat meat did you use in this recipe?
It was roughly 2lbs
100%🎉🎉😊
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Can i have some my sister please??😊
Ofc you can bro❤️
Jamaican tables spoons are insane😂😂😂😂😂
I’m confused, is it soup or stew?
lol what it look like ?
I haven’t made curry goat 🐐 in years. I find the smell of the goat here is very pungent even after washing it. I only eat goat when I am in the Caribbean.😮
I find washing it real good with vinegar and lemon, then marinate it over night or for a few hrs..helps
Thank you for that it definitely help’s especially that vinegar.
Please wash it with some vinegar and lemon juice just add like 3 Tbsp and some lemon juice wash it 2 times Pat dry it with paper towel and smell it afterwards. Fresh
Pungent goat meat; it's a buck or you may say a RAM goat.
Which that's what people prefer!
Wash it with baking soda and vinegar
Bottle lemon just as good
Don't remember that way of Curry Goat must be a new way of Cooking Curry Goat
❤onelove toyou 100.00
Girl, why would you make this when my throat is disconnected from my stomach? I made your recipe using lamb chops, instead of goat, for a group of people. Now they want me to do it again. No credit to me, it's all YOU!!
Awww I’m sorry to hear that fam, wow I’ve never ate lamb chops before I have to make it like how I make my curry goat thanks for enlightening me on this 😅 I’m glad you gave it a try though and everyone enjoyed it. I appreciate you hun and I hope you feel better💞💞🙏🏾
Please turn your music down so we can hear you and understand you.
Noted 📝
What meat is this again please.❤
Never knew what the Grown ups put in the Stew that they were Cooking except Plenty of Curry
Want some a dat
Give it a try I bet you’ll love it. Much respect ✊🏽
No way that's 3 tbsp oil. Looks like 1/4 cup or so. Paprika in yellow curry? hmmmm to each his own though. But over all looks good.
No its not, tumeric is yellow curry,I grow it in my back yard.
Overcooked. Too much water added the first time. What you did was to extract seasoning absorbed through equalization which the seared meat will not reabsorb readily. Add water a little at a time. Good job nevertheless. Next thing is you don't need to force your Jamaican accent. No carrot, no bell needed. Good job overall. I man like it. ❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
😋🍽️❤🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Thanks Kim💕💕💕
I remember it was alway's was very Thick
Add some oil instead of water
Potato has no flavor! And it makes the curry goat taste good? Hmmm!
The potatoes help with the gravy and it soaks up the flavor
It doesn’t have flavor but it really good to add. It helps with the gravy and texture of the curry. Bitting the potato after the meal is prepared is really a great taste.
No carrots 🥕
It's all good except I remember differently as a child and young boy well nowadays young man as those you know them anyway after killing the goat and hanging it upside down so the blood drains out an gutting it out then we the children wash it in season then Skinned the Goat and then wash it a few more times then season the Goat completely in Curry Powder and then allow it to stand for a few hours but then after it was the Grown ups who cut it up and Cook it and most of the time it was a big Stew that Cook for hrs at a time out side an all we smelled was thick Curry and other Seasoning yeah mostly Curry we are not Jamaican a little Bahamas that's it but mostly everything we eat had to have Curry in it and very hot Spicy and most people couldn't eat it because of the thick Curry sauce and Spicy yet we love it here in Florida back wood black men and Black women Wich they don't call us that now because everything is City like you know
If you’re cooking Jamaican curry Goat the Authentic way , you shouldn’t be using bell pepper or carrot in it
Says who?
Bell pepper and carrot has very strong flavour it take away from the authentic flavour of the Goat. These days I see most people are putting bell pepper and carrot in everything , even stew peas. Now to answer your question, ME and the good Jamaican cook
@@divaforever2617agree
That may be the way she was raised eating it, different strokes for different folks
Hey maybe you can make a video and show how it’s done, like she did. Maybe someone would appreciate your way
What the amount of Curry that your sprinkler on the goats and the amount you put in the pot that is over too much and that carry not going to taste good because if you knew that you were going to put the curry to burn you don't have to put in the car in the meat is because you cannot cook
Whoever you are it seems you cant cook either, because thats exactly how my mother used to cook it. We burn the curry to prevent running belly . You surley not a jamaican. Your'e damn feisty to say the lady can't cook. Tek yu arse off the de woman program.
Just throw everything in the pressure cooker
Too much water.
Too tedious. Only need to boil the liquid from the goat until it thickens. Then rinse out the season blender, throw it in the previous goat season bowl. Mix out all the left-over season and add to cooking pot. Bring to boil, and add hot water to over cover the meat. Use medium heat to continue cooking. After an hour check for meat cooked tenderness. Most likely it's almost cooked. Then add potatoes and other veggies & seasoning. Turn to medium low heat, and let it simmer for about 1/2 to 3/4 hour. It should all be gravy cooked by then. You want the meat to cook with some bite texture, not slushie!?
Thanks for the advice. You cook differently and so do I. If you cook curry goat your way that’s fine. This is how I grew up making it. Ain’t no big deal. Thanks for watching much respect ✊🏾
I agree with you. Lol
Paprika in curry is a no. No ..Jamaican do not use paprika in curry
How are you gonna tell me I’m not Jamaican because I choose to add whatever seasoning in my own food though???? I eat whatever I want this is my food. You cook different and so do I‼️
I agree ☝️
If you love castor oil then you will have a unique taste for goat meat it is the worst taste of meat that you will ever want to taste and see goat meat is not for me😮😊
Number one I don't buy goat meat in supermarket I go to the butcher place and see where they're killing the goats Ram goat meat that's what I buy if I don't go to the butcher shop and buy a whole lot and ask the butcher to kill it for me and I chop it up myself you're not a professional cook and I watch Auntie Pauline cook just a couple minutes ago before I watch yours and and she was cooking curry goat doll because because because because supermarket
Too much oil
Yes the curry goat springs a lot of oil you can just pour it off.
IF U SPEAK STANDARD ENGLISH U WILL REACH AN INTERNATIONAL CROWD THANKS.
How do you spell cook Island because when you season it move the season it up naturally I put the amount of car in the pot to burn with some black pepper and you're going clear right there so you cannot go can you beat up your Ginger put into your pot into your meat turn on the professional program I'm not going to watch back your type of cooking not me and I have a daughter one daughter one son and his son and my daughter can't cook
It is people that cannot cook use paprika too much powdery season is not good for your health all you need is a little all-purpose season a little tip of jerk turn off meat seasoning nothing else are onion powder or garlic powder Africa is mostly to go on chicken and a lot of people don't know that anybody where you supporting paprika and every kind of me they don't they can't cook and then I know nothing about cooking no matter what you want to say people who are real quick they don't do that money must sugar cane Factory and all of her children come and take the cooking skill for an hour when you tell him when you talk about Coke I am a Coke and some of those things that are you talking about those things a real person can cook don't do those things all the time because I love both of you you don't need those things that I see you doing dear miss you cannot cook the first thing you're going on this paprika it's not chicken wings or chicken nugget chicken that's what paprika is for
