Walk to Cannon Park Shopping Centre, Canley

Cannon Park Shopping Centre is a favourite haunt for students from the University of Warwick which is nearby. It is very popular with students owing to the Tesco supermarket and a very good Asian supermarket. This walk starts off at the bottom of Sir Henry Parkes Road, just off the A45 Fletchamstead Highway and we go up to the roundabout at the crossing with Charter Avenue. The shopping centre is on Lynchgate road where we find a range of the usual high street shops - Iceland, Wilko, Holland and Barrett, Costa etc.

Thank you, Flaneur, another lovely walk with you, but this was a special one for me as I lived all my U.K. life growing up as a Canley kid. Your walks transport us expats all the way around the world and without the jetlag ✈️. Another fantastic walk, thank you so much. 😄👍

Thank you so much for this. I've been getting bouts of nostalgia since going home to Jakarta, Indonesia in 2019 after living in Coventry for 4 years to get my Bachelor's and Master's from Warwick Business School. I lived on campus and then near the shopping centre so I'd go there often.
My favourite shop there was Jin's Cafe Express which was sadly forced to close in 2018 due to the landlord invoking a break clause in their lease. It was to the right of the Subway and the unit is now part of the Bargain Buys seen in this video.
This video has cheered me up in the midst of yet another monotonous work week in corporate. I hope that one day I can travel to the UK to revisit the places that I loved and also places I have yet to visit.
