Even the skeptics have to recognize that this artifact is wild. Nothing can prove it a fake. So if not the burial cloth of Jesus then what is it?
It's the actual burial cloth of Christ The King.
The Shroud has been conclusively proven to be a medieval creation.
@@EvilXtianitylies, the source you won't give were samples taken from known added later clothes. That is actually proven.
@@EvilXtianity You did not listen to the whole podcast.
Your Name shows your bias.

Are you disputing the three radio-carbon dating tests that date it to the 1300s?
Do you have any scientific evidence that it is authentic?
It is the work of an artist. The same artist that created all of creation, that's why we don't know how it was done.
The top artist in the universe
This is why every other artist models after Him
Ok guys! I am a newbie follower but I was just literally talking to Jesus saying the Shroud of Turin is the closest picture I have to you. I just put up 2 photo copies. One at work and one in my bedroom. Excited to watch this right now!
_"...but I was just literally talking to Jesus..."_
What did Jesus say to you?
I'm 62, I have always thought the shroud was authentic, if not why is it so protected? I believe it is a receipt with all the information needed to prove that our.debt was paid in full. Even today when our debt is paid in full we are given a receipt with all the info to prove the debt was paid. The shroud is his receipt to us that he paid our debt.
I was just fixing to mention the comparison of the image on the shroud to that of Jonathan Roomy, when you mentioned it. wow, I guess I am not the only one to notice that. Good deal.
The Shroud has been conclusively proven to be a medieval creation.

So they say.
Mr 62 year old hi I’m Mr 48 lol I echo your sentiments exactly…when you see the image and look at Jesus face for me I knew instantly it was our savior. Bottom line is take the scales off the eyes and you will TRULY SEE things for exactly what they are good & bad…you will discover we’ve all been labeled from the cradle and if you don’t realize there are two aspects to everything and do your homework you will remain fooled your entire life

_"...when you see the image and look at Jesus face for me I knew instantly it was our savior."_
God specifically warned against worshiping false saviors such as Jesus:
"Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior."
(Isaiah 43:10)
"Thou shalt know no God but me, for there is no savior other than me."
(Hosea 13:4)
Guys, I love being able to see you! It makes it 500 times better. This was a great show, too. Thank you. Praying for all 3 of you and your families. 🙏🏼❤️✨️🕎✨️✝️✨️❤️🙏🏼
The carbon dating was incorrect as the guest mentioned, but it was not because people were holding it up (and I’m very surprised the guest doesn’t know this) it was because after the fire and the metal burning it, the medieval nuns repaired it with cloth, and threads that they very carefully weaved into the structure of the original shroud. So when part of the fabric was taken for dating, it was this cloth from the medieval period, which is why the dating came back as medieval. It was the chemist who discovered the different weave and realized what had happened.
Gen xer here who has been following the shroud info since I was 10 (so over 40 years now). I believed in its authenticity from the first time I heard about it. I have since worked in museums, have a bscj degree and studied crime scene, and am also an artist and professional crafter. I know 100% this is authentic.
Ditto😮

What John and Peter saw that Mary didn’t is also in scripture, if you know about Jewish culture and customs. They saw the head piece of the cloth FOLDED NEATLY! This is SO SIGNIFICANT!! As soon as they saw it they BELIEVED and knew that Jesus WOULD come back!! This folded cloth indicated the RETURN! If a master was not finished their meal, they would fold the cloth to signify they weren’t finished yet and that they would be back. If the cloth/napkin wasn’t folded it meant they were done and not returning. And notice it is the HEAD piece - Jesus is the HEAD of the body of Christ!! He is RETURNING for His bride!!!
Learning about Jewish culture and customs has made scripture make so much more sense! The bridegroom would go to “prepare a place” at his “father’s house” before the wedding ceremony! This could take some time. But the bride to be was supposed to BE READY for when they announced the bridegroom’s arrival (usually at midnight) but it was unknown when he would come, then the festivities would begin! There would be a 7-day wedding festival! Praise Jesus!! He is coming, and so very soon!!! 🙌🙏✝️👑❤️
Awesome guests, awesome topics, awesome basement, just an overall AWESOME PODCAST!!! Love the Blurryverse I just can’t get enough 👾👽🦾🎧🧩🎲🎥☎️📺🎚️🎛️📓🎱🕹️
My most favourite podcast by far!!!! Love you guys, thank you so much for all the hard work in bringing us the blurryverse!
Great topic. Amazing how it keeps coming back into attention
Love the set guys! I’ve been waiting for the TH-cam version of your show! Can’t wait to see yall grow!
Bless you guys and your podcast. Giving us all new perspectives on biblical topics 🤝🏾
Seeing your faces for the first time is like watching a movie version of a book. It’s a loss of innocence in a way. I’ll never imagine you the same way again lol.
The set is so awesome.
Haven't watched the video yet -- but a big fan of Gary Habermas' material on Turin Shroud.
He's great. He's long in the tooth now but a great apologist
I was about 18 when they tested the shroud back in 1978. I was very interested at the time. My dad bought a hard cover book on the shroud that had a lot of testing info. It's an interesting relic.
@Blurry Creatures Podcast. Man!!! I love that you're on video now!! Grrrrrreat presentation! Keep it going! Awesome job guys!
Nate & Luke, thanks for sharing this podcast! Many of my fav topic!
The First Polaroid photo!!!
It’s awesome!!!!!
Love the studio view, and the Nintendo Gun under the TV. To those who say that one cloth was not used, that one covered his head, and one the body, think about all of the things hidden from us, like Giant bones. Maybe the shroud was in the Bible, but it was omitted.
Awesomeness
The Shroud of Turin episode of Glenn Beck a few days ago had the specialist that said the sampled carbon dated part was from the nuns who repaired it after the fire. That was an interesting episode too.

I believe it is real
Why?
It has been conclusively dated to the 1300s.
The linen cloth was folded. This indicates in their culture that he would be back. This happened in that culture at the dinner table, if the cloth/napkin was folded, then don't clear the plate because the diner would be back to the table.
🌹❤️🔥🌹
From imaging tech they are saying that the human image on the shroud has coins on his eyes, is wearing certain clothes that would have been put on the body after death and even a ‘crown’ of thorns with leaves and even little fruit pieces. The gospels don’t describe these items as being left behind in the tomb when Jesus’ followers enter the empty tomb. I don’t know what made the image on the shroud but its existence wasn’t important enough to be mentioned by the gospel writers.
Princess bride. Nuther 80s reference 😎
Riddle me this, Batman. If it is real, why is the picture not really wide? If you take a 3D globe and slice it so it flattens out like a 2D map, it is like 2 1/2 times as wide. If that shroud was wrapped around a person, the ears on the shroud should be like a foot and a half apart. It's fake. Whoever made it thinks in only two dimensions.
Simple! The Shroud never did wrap the body of Jesus. There was no time to do so. When Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus brought his body into the tomb, he was laid on the bottom half and the top half folded over him. Then they had to stop for the observation of the Sabbath. When they returned to finish preparing the body he had already been resurrected.
Here in 2025, there is virtually _no one_ that is both intelligent and has plenty of common sense that will call the Holy Shroud a fake. That is simply impossible.
Just putting this out there ~ 39:30 - Saul does not have his name changed as a result of his conversion.
When the lord jesus was carrying his cross the woman he cured from an incurable bleeding disorder named Veronica, came to him and gave him her shawl to clean his face from the blood sweat and dirt, Jesus wiped his face and imprinted his facial image on the shawl, she discovered this at a later time and it was said to have amazing healing abilities.thanks for a really interesting show
Please make a shirt that says: We’re Going to Shroud Town”
It's a sign of God.
How so?
It would be great if you could also manufacture T-Shirts in Canada in addition to in the US and ship across Canada from Canada. The Christian podcast Haunted Cosmos does this (they are based in Utah and make US orders in the US and Canadian orders in Canada) and it makes getting merch affordable for us in Canada. You could expand your market this way.
Comment for the algorithm! Do it!
haha! thanks for making youtube comment section great again
I don’t know. See, it’s not that hard
Check out Jesus Christ never existed by Eric Dubay.
Why? I do not read fiction.
I think I have heard the head was generally wrapped separately
Mr Breault: It is not "begs the question" but RAISES the question! Begging the question is a logical fallacy of pre-assuming the conclusion in an argument. I am surprised YOU make such a mistake!
1. No one knows what Jesus really looked like.
2. The Romans crucified countless thousands, so that could be anyone.
3. If the Vatican really believed that was Jesus' burial cloth it would be the top relic displayed at St. Peter's and they'd be praying to it.
4 It was the EMPTY TOMB, not the burial cloth that convinced John of the resurrection.
Your" points " don't explain it's existence just your doubts
To those who are convinced that this is an image of Jesus, how could Yahweh have permitted this to happen? How is an image of Jesus like this not a violation of the law in Exodus 20:4-6 where God explicitly prohibits images in the likeness of what is in heaven or on earth in the context of worship, especially when one considers just how many people have actually worshipped before the image? If this were an actual image of Jesus, made by Him in some miraculous way, and before which countless numbers of people have fallen in worship, then God would have violated His own law.
His command was to humans not to create heavenly images. Not to divine beings.
Humans have worshipped created things for millenia. Did God contradict himself because He created the Sun? Because humans have worshipped the Sun many times, many ways, throughout history.
@@efreshwater5 God can not and may not be visibly portrayed in any way. Although creatures may be portrayed, yet God forbids making or having such images if one’s intention is to worship them or to serve God through them (Exodus 34:13-14, 17, 2 Kings 18:4-5).
Wrong
@@lawrencestanley8989 actually, yours is the illogical argument (not to mention moving the goalposts)
Is this the burial cloth of Jesus? No. It was the Jewish burial custom of the time to wrap the body of the deceased in strips of cloth that were packed with various spices, then a separate head cloth would be placed over the head. The Shroud of Turin is a single large piece of large cloth, like a bed sheet, not strips of cloth, and no separate head covering.
See John 11:44, 19:40, 20:6-7.
Of the Shroud of Turin, John Calvin once wrote: “How is it possible that those sacred historians, who carefully related all the miracles that took place at Christ's death, should have omitted to mention one so remarkable as the likeness of the body of our Lord remaining on its wrapping sheet?" He also noted that, according to the book of John, there was one sheet covering Jesus' body, and a separate cloth covering His head. He then stated that "either St. John is a liar," or else anyone who promotes such a shroud is "convicted of falsehood and deceit."
The shroud is nothing short of idol worship.
You're practicing idol worship in your Calvinism...
@@efreshwater5 Quoting John Calvin makes someone a Calvinist? And I would love to hear how you are equating "Calvinism" with idol worship.
@@lawrencestanley8989you have blind faith in the authority of Calvin. Therefore, you're idol worshipping Calvin
Your argument has more holes than Bonnie &Clyde!😅😅
Leonardo Da Vinci made it at the request of the pope.
no
You might want to do a little more research. what you're speaking of is a conspiracy theory The shroud is the real deal. I have been watching the back and forth for 45 years.. M-66 now.
Redicoulous 😮
@heavenbound358 Apparently, the face is actually Da Vinci, and the body was a random corpse. He used some sort of camera device and unknown chemicals to produce the image onto the Shroud.
😂
