The Chaplet is such a big thing to ask of our Holy God. We are asking for mercy for ourselves and for the whole world. Just imagine that for a minute. The whole world is big and we are asking for mercy. God is great and I ask for his compassion.
Ruth, that is soooo true! When I first heard the Chaplet as a Protestant, I fell in love with it. But the part about "have mercy on us and ON THE WHOLE WORLD" ... I thought, "That's a BIG ask!" I wasn't sure I had enough faith for that. But praying it daily -- and this was right after my husband was killed in a car accident, so I actually started praying it three times a day -- the repetition (150 times a day!) of "on the whole world" built up my faith to the point that now we are having this year-long initiative to PRAY FOR THE WORLD! (David already had that faith.) God is so good! Be sure to see the Spiritual Warfare series which we're emailing and posting on the Community posts. It started yesterday in the emails and today on the Community posts. We will probably skip the weekend (for the series, not our normal stuff) and pick it back up on Monday. Love and hugs, Alyce-Kay
@@SufferingWell-dtwakr Your history with the Chaplet is very encouraging. I am not as loyal in praying it as I should be. I will try to do better. Thank you for your spirituality.
@ruthortega5822 by the way, I do not pray it three times a day anymore. That was while I was really really going through deep grieving. I prayed it with the Friars Of Renewal in the mornings, then with Drew Mariani on Relevant radio in the afternoons, and then I sang it along with the Flynn family singers in the evening. Singing it with them was actually how I learned to pray it all. It's beautiful. I would recommend any of those ways of praying it.... As well as our videos of course! 😀 Anyway, the chaplet of Divine Mercy was kind of my gateway drug into Catholicism.
Thank you for the conversation between you and Ruth. Very helpful ❤ for me

@@SufferingWell-dtwakrWhat really matters is you found a way to help you with your grieving through the Chaplet. That's great!
