I wish there were RC racing courses that not only looked like this but were also filmed in the same style.
The cuts and edits and drone equipment they use would be hard to do at closed tracks I’d imagine.
Exactly what I was thinking when I first saw this. It would be fun to race this with the older raptor/slashes. It is different though

I love that realistic looking bashers are slowly coming back after so long. It's like we're finally getting the logical evolution of all the cool 80s rcs....
We need a bandit 4x4 vxl, it hasnt inspired another vehicle like how the stampede inspired the hoss, and the bandit has never had a 4x4 counterpart like both the stampede or rustler
A 2wd maxx would be neat as well

Smart Traxxas. Very smart! Scale bashers at last, Ive been watching the crawler range get all the realistic bodies and accessories. But finally it comes to the Slash. Nice long wheelbase and everything you love about the Slash.
Did you know 3d printers exist? You could print longer wheelbase And tons of realistic bodies Are free to download

I made a nitro raptor using an electric, 2 Wheel Dr. raptor, body and a nitro slash chassis, and I install the bumpers from the electric onto the nitro. It’s on my channel in case you want to see how it looks like.

@traxxas, Awesome job! Said I wasn’t going to buy another “go fast” because I crash them too much…but I’ll be adding one of these to the collection. The clipless bodies are the best. Love them all on my TRX-4’s and TRX-4M’s. I had the other brands body mounting on their crawlers.
Any chance we’ll see some more clipless bodies for the TRX-4 chassis? Maybe a licensed Jeep body so I can ditch the always breaking “other brand” Jeep JLU?!
Bought one and I'm so happy I did! Only "problem" was that my daughter fell in love with it, so I had to go back and pick up a new Rustler 4x4 BL-2S for her! Love them both. They're super tough and handle so good.
If only Traxxas had released this truck a little sooner. My brother wanted a Slash 4X4 VXL with a Raptor body for his birthday but my dad didn’t want to get him a new Body since the Slash 4X4 VXL already came with a perfectly good one

Pretty much, though it is the nicest rc raptor I’ve seen. And it comes with extras that a standard slash doesn’t come with.

W truck 💯 I’ll probably end up getting one on my b-day. Had been waiting for a Gen 3 4x4 release, but not the R. Loving it Traxxas, best drop yet. I would like battery included but the power is too imense! Also the exposure of the driveshaft is a bit worrisome but I can cover it

I'm a Traxxas fan... But $530 and it comes with ultra shocks.... that's kinda crazy man... You can get a slash 4x4 for like 400 , only difference is its a lil shorter and clips for body..smh

You can absolutely just get the body. Ask around at your local hobby shops.
The bodies will be available separately, but Raptor R utilizes an extended chassis to achieve the correct proportions. It is not a direct fit for existing Slash models.

Make a UDR 2.0 tuned for bashing please. Love how the UDR looks in motion and feels but it’s such a fragile and expensive car to buy and work on, the diffs blow from the smallest of things.

No, they’re clipless and it’s an extended chassis. It’s a pretty different truck then the og slash.
