I'd never listened to Korn much, just a few singles here and there. Been struggling with feelings of alienation from people and severe self frustration. I've been on a hell of a ride in my past few years trying to figure this life out by wading through science and religion to still find myself lacking. But this song gives me something I thought had died within me a long time ago. Hope. That there's people like me here in the world. I've never connected to music like this and I can't put it in words, but my God. I love you all.
100% relate to that! But immense respect and appreciation that you keep going and have kept your heart & soul intact. That is quite a challenge in the toughest of times we go through in life... But when you manage to protect the core of your heart & soul through all the struggles; that is pure, positive strength to deal with ànd appreciate life! You obviously are a beautiful, inspiring person- your post lightened my day anyway! Stay as you are please! X
This song is actually about getting out of depression and all the shit in your life and not about suicide. "I know it's time to leave these places far behind". It's a masterpiece musically and lyrically
Man this song is my echo.. this was the Korn song that literally saved my life. I dealt with severe physical abandonment and abuse because of it for 8 years. When I first heard this song it was the first time in my life that I felt like someone was actually talking to me like someone finally understood that pain. I ended up moving away and having a family of my own but if I didn't hear this song when I was a child and feel a connection to it I don't think it would of made it out alive. ❤
Bro...Daddy, Kill You, My Gift to You, and Dirty we’re all 10x more powerful than this. I know it’s a matter of opinion at the end of the day, but c’mon, DADDY...
@@outragedamerican1149 Yeah, that's exactly what I thought for years, and what probably 99% plus people feel. What it is doesn't matter, it just makes you feel something powerful... The fact that it's actually a painstakingly crafted wall of sound with choir samples, synths, bass, heavy guitar, insanely processed guitars, and massively layered vocals though... that's what got me into making my own music. The concept of being able to make something that powerful is insane, and it's a hell of a long road... and ultimately, no one will ever understand or care what you did to get there, but that's irrelevant if it can make someone feel something, in my eyes anyway!
Johnathan davis and korn have helped me battle depression anxiety and suicide this past month never realized how much i turned to these guys to keep me through hard times
Its like being in an empty room that you cant move through your emotions and cannot hear yourself breathe because the silence is so loud, your ears are ringing.
I do not know how old you all are, but I will say this: I am 40 years old, so I have a little knowledge about life so I mean it when I say it gets better. All you need is the sun shining on your face and patience. Dont grow up too fast. Enjoy your youth. Time is the one thing you cannot get away from or gain more of.
Why I dropped out. Otherwise I would have went full Eric and Dylan style. The bullying was mild I just hated everyone. They were all simplistic fools and tools. But I still got a ged and have good job now at 25. School makes you crazy lol
Ariel Brugada thing that freaks me out the most is the fact that it's not going to end that easy-question is , is it gonna end?I heard stories and stories how people are fighting with depression for years and years. But I hope for everyone that is been dealing with it(me and you also) is going to get through soon as possible.
It is a hard fight. For me personally, it never goes completely, it always makes it way back. I hope you get over it quickly. It's not something you'll wish to anyone. Stay strong.
Don't do it. Contact for help as you are not the only one with that kind of problems, a lot of people can relate to you, to me. A lot of people can can understand your problems. Try to reach to someone
Best moment,no not the best concert,in my life was seeing them in 02 in columbus.only time in my life i ever felt connected to other humans & wanted as a human.it wasnt a concert,it was a gathering for other lost souls like myself.thanks for the precious memories jon davis, never will forget it.you truly are for the fans.
Wow after really reading and understanding these lyrics out of anger ad shock that these are ALL my exact thoughts I started crying WTF and as far as what someone said in tye comments about Korn's lyrics being tht of someone who has not adapted to their problems, well Korn directs emphasis on those things such as our own demise that if you really think about and don't pretend it's not reality is something NONE of us can come to terms with.... Just saying
Korn music make me feel things kinda weird. The voice and the lyrics especially. That's why Korn's my favourite band. I love them for all the songs they've done that stick to my feelings .
Jon pours his heart out with every lyric he sings, and I resort to this song when it seems as if the world is against me (even if it's ultimately not in the end)..It's a great song to unleash with and then you take a deep breath and carry on...
I've never had another song give me so much empowerment. This song has been my safe place. I've let go of so many heartaches of yesterday.... because of this song. This song has given me a lot of strength over the last 20 years. It still brings me to tears when I listen. Even though I remember the pain... "No one's there" has made it okay for me to let it all go and leave it far behind...
this song always get's to me......the feeling of depression is over-baring like this and that is what he is singing about, the feelings you go through when you are on a downward spiral in your mind while depression sit's it, you call out for help, beg for someone to hear your cry's but......no ones there, you're left alone in your mind.....drowning in these thought's and it seem's like there no way out. makes me cry every time
I wish I could tell them how deeply I love them and how they saved my life. I remember the first time I fell in love and my first heartbreak, Both Jonathan Davis. I was heartbroken because I realized I'd never impact their life the way they did mine. He saved me. 💙💙
this song is awesome....funny tho how the ad for Christan dating thing is like... Jesus Christ Is lord... maybe jesus is a fan of KoRn?.... *mind explodes*
I always thought this song was about searching for meaning in the universe and searching desperately for God and finding that there's nothing and having to be your own savior.

Jesus christ this is perfect example of Korn's lyric main themes. and it got me to compare lyrics of main bands ive listened to lately. metallica's thematical range is very wide ofc but maybe anger against the cruelty of our system it the main thing. then we got deftones. maybe im wrong but ive feeling that chino is mostly singing about women :) but gojira is totally different thing - this is desperate anger against what mankind is doing to nature. and also SOAD and tool are singing of system, 1st is making total fun of it and other even arrogantly pointing on whats wrong about it. and then theres korn. singin about totally messed and fucked up people. i never thought these bands actually are so different
“To all these greedy people Trying to feed on what is mine You've got to fill your hunger And stop fucking with my mind” what do they mean at this part? Love the song so much
This NEEDS to be the end credits theme for the US version of Sailor Moon Eternal Part 2 and have the ending scene with the Sailor Quartet appearing be cut entirely and instead have Sailor Pluto explain that the Amazoness Quartet are still a threat to humanity and that they will be seeing them again very soon.
Me asking God why(as in all the fucked up shit)me asking God for help..Me realizing God does not exist..Me getting over it all slowly and finally leaving the past in the past
I used to love korns lyrics....but as got older i realised they are words of someone who hasn't adapted to his problems. You beat the demons or they beat u... The power of Korn 🙏🏻
You’ve chosen the right band
Hang in there, you're not alone in your pain even if you feel like it, even if those around you don't "get it".
Hope you are doing well.

The last two minutes... I've yet to hear a more powerful end to an album. EVER.
True
20 years later after getting into so many different genres and artists and I agree
Bro...Daddy, Kill You, My Gift to You, and Dirty we’re all 10x more powerful than this. I know it’s a matter of opinion at the end of the day, but c’mon, DADDY...
Pretty sure the last two minutes are just fuzz.

Forever my favorite band♥️ love JD’s voice
I'm never disappointed when I hear them
God they fucking make everything perfect
They're Gods of true music, of true EMOTIONS! Their stuff is really pure art.
"So why can't it be? No ok me here's me call...Echoes back at me, no ones THERE!"..BEST PART OF THE SONG
"Do you think they will remember?
Or will we just be replaced"
Replacement is definitely the plan.
Thats based on my marriage or will i be replaced
I LOVE this song. It speaks to me as to how life is with epilepsy. A lot of Korns music is very relatable as to how my life is with epilepsy.
Jonathan has amazing vocals in this whole album.
Its like being in an empty room that you cant move through your emotions and cannot hear yourself breathe because the silence is so loud, your ears are ringing.
It's how my life is.
damn that's exactly my life right now.

"To all these greedy people trying to feed on my design!"
I truly thought that's what was said..
All of kORN'S songs suit my life 2. n I know its time to leave these places far behind, Xactly

Really Arran Titchmarsh ?! Just because you don't like them anymore doesn't mean you need to say it so other who like Korn will not like them anymore.
