This is definitely one of the best Korean TV series on Netflix. Well-thought-out dialogues, memorable characters, beautiful love story and soundtrack. Kudos to whoever gave Lee Min-ki the role of Seo Do-jae. No other actor could have played Seo Do-jae better than Lee Min-ki. I will never get tired watching bts, trailers and any video clips of The Beauty Inside. Please keep 'em coming!

Just letting y’all know that sign language is like most languages used to communicate but for those who are deaf and hard of hearing. There are different sign languages in different countries there is no universal sign language.
Blessed This is indeed true! I was surprised that they brought this up in this scene (when the main actress asks her if she speaks Korean sign language). I haven’t watched it yet, but this appears to be a promising drama that I will be picking up.
yes there are, I’m deaf myself and there’s a sign language for all the countries to communicate. It is called international sign language.
I was really surprised. I was mistaken in thinking sign language was universal.

And it’s hard for there to be a universal sign language because diff culture and whatnot (It’s like 🤟 can mean ‘I Love You’ because the alphabet ‘I’ ‘L’ and ‘Y’ can be seen in the hand gesture but each language has diff spelling and characters... also diff thing signifies diff thing in each culture and some words can’t even be translated.)

It depends on the actor. Some are more comfortable. Kang Sora is very natural. And Han Hyo Joo was pretty natural in the movie version of this.

This just warmed my heart so much. As someone who is slightly hard of hearing, I enjoy seeing sign language in movies/tv shows
So do I ... I am hard of hearing it always warm my heart anything like handicapped. Or really birthmark does not bother me I just feel my hear even more warm💝💞 or anything wrong with problem.
Have you ever seen the anime/ movie called Silent Voice. It is a about a hearing impaired Japanese girl. You get to see some Japanese sign language

수화는 만국 공통어 아닙니다 영어권 수화랑 한국 중국 일본 수화랑 조금 다르다라고 수화통역사가 얘기해준적 있음

I love scenes like this! Showing that what makes someone different, doesn’t always mean that we should look upon that in a negative way, but instead, in a positive way. Even just this small act of kindness put a smile on everyone. It was clear to see how much the little girl idolized the older woman as well as the actress going out of her way to make the little girls day like that. ❤

I love seeing them use KSL because I use ASL every day since I'm hard of hearing and seeing the representation like this in other countries warms my heart. I've never really seen KSL used in conversation and It's beautiful. I've seen some BSL (British Sign Language) and ohh boy it looks complicated but so amazing to learn and watch.
This makes me want to learn Korean sign language as well as ASL

I love the movie which i believe was based on this drama in which Han Hyo Joo is the main character and one of the best actress in korea. In the movie, the boy is the one that is keep on changing to different person. The story so sad, hurtful and heart warming. I was so happy that they are able to do a drama based on that movie and able to enjoy this in few months. Hopefully, this will also somewhat delivery the same feelings that i have felt when i watch the movie or even more better. If you have not watch the movie, please watch that first then you are able to under the synopsis of this drama match more better before you start.

Ive seen both (2 ep for the drama). I think the drama only took the theme of the movie since the drama is more to comedy rather than melo and emotional as in the movie. The storyline is completely different.
