- Welcome to another episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Birmingham New Street on the West Coast Main Line where services are seen by Virgin Trains, West Midlands Railway, London Northwestern Railway, CrossCountry and Arriva Trains Wales.
Again this station never ceases to amaze me, the station is full of sheer quality from back to front albeit that the layout is the most confusing in this country. Birmingham New Street had variety, great views and some nice new liveries and destinations for West Midlands Railway. There was a lot more focused and covered here than in December's visit so hopefully it shows well. Enjoy all, i certainly enjoyed filming this!

I enjoyed watching your video when I do train spotting at Birmingham New Street I always sign in and there gave me a pass which lets me get thought the barriers when I finish had it back in

those 170+153 combos have been formed for years! gotta love BSI couplers haha... i'm still waiting for the day i see a Pacer+158+170 :-P
RWL2012 from what I know only scotrail run both 158s and 170s

+ScotRail 170407 and 150s and 155s and 156s which all also have BSI couplers :-P
Russian bias123 it’s fine. Northern have only just received a few 170s from Scotrail and more to come
Awesome Footage Buddy :) My lovely 323201 appeared :D. A 350 doing the New Street-International Shuttle is unusual but that maybe due to the 323's being repainted or the allocated 323 failed.
