Hello Lumenelle, I just found your video on this impressive Art Deco Arc Lamp. Do you have any videos or information on the arc feed mechanism and how it functions with the knob. I am at work on a feed mechanism for my new Arc Furnace. I realize this is an older video, though.
These lamps were used on film projection and for searching night bombing planes at WWII with a system to compensate the gap on carbon tips erosion, in order to maintain the light brighting for a long time...
i was born in 1931- we had a lamp like this one- I can still smell the ozone...we had to use them every night before bedtime- with dark goggles of course...

Sperti mercury vapour sunlamps also have a nichrome wire ballast. I have a working lamp and socket out of one.

I saw one of these in an antique mall years ago, it was on a stand, I believe. Always wondered what one looked like operating. nice 60Hz hum too!

For what reason did you have to use it every night?
I remember using a mercury vapour tanning lamp, with those opaque plastic goggles.
What is supply of this lamp?
