There's a very obvious raise of aggressivity in attack frequency and combos for the DLC mobs, including the hammer crucible knight. They fight like rabid dogs, while the normal crucible knights fight quite "tamely"
I mean the sword and board crucible knights are pretty passive at times because they wait and hide behind their shield, but I'd say the spear wielding ones are about as aggressive as Devonia in terms of attacking more relentlessly, as they have no shield to remain in a neutral state for long periods.
The funny thing about this is that among pre-DLC enemies, the Crucible Knights are some of the most relentless and aggressive monsters. Just goes to show how much the aggro has been ramped up the in DLC!
@@Kryto_Gaming i wouldnt say they are "aggresive" so to speak. The crucible knights will always progress forward and apply pressure but alot of the time they will punish instead of being aggresive like the Horned Warriors. They wait for you to input certain moves such as a heal for example
Because everything in the dlc is more beast-like. Even Devonia gets a 4 legged centaur mode. But also probably because From knows the playerbase adjusted with the delayed attacks by now so time to make em harder
Through Devonia’s set, we learn that Godfrey and the Crucible Knights aren’t of the Crucible culture and, much like Messmer’s Black Knights, merely utilize its power. Her item descriptions speak of how she left Godfrey and the others for the Land of Shadow to learn more about the Crucible.
That makes a lot of sense. The knights of Lyndell also utilize another culture/religion's power, in their case the power of Ancient Dragons. The Crucible Knights also have no visible Crucible features sticking out, and all their abilities are about transforming their bodies into Crucible aspects etc.
Ordovis being the last one standing is a beautiful way to end the video. Its insane how the Divine Beast Warriors are the only ones able to give equally balanced Crucible Knights a challenge. Shows how beautifully efficient the move sets of the Crucible Knights are.
For your information, these are not all horned warriors. Just the ones with the horned helmet are. The ones with the Lion heads are elites known as 'Divine Beast Warriors' and the feathered ones with golden armour are 'Divine Bird Warriors'. These elites are found only in Enir-Ilim, while the horned warriors are in Belurat and other places too.
Divine beasts are still horned warriors, just more powerful. Infact, cursebaldes are horned warriors who tries to ascend to become divine beasts and fails, indicating horned warriors become the divine beasts
The interesting thing here to me is the difference in poise. Not the stance break mechanic where they fall down and get opened up to a critical hit, but the small interrupting flinches when they are hit by powerful attacks. Crucible Knights notoriously have very high poise, you need super heavy attacks to flinch them even slightly. But the Horned/Divine Warriors of the DLC take this a step further! They do not seem to flinch at all unless they get hit so much they either get outright stancebroken as above or, in rare cases, get sent flying (I don't know if players have enough poise damage output to be able to do the latter, but Crucible Knights do, it seems).
the only thing that seems to really mess them up is the gs with giant hunt. everything else was easier on my dex run with rakshasha great katana, but the horned warriors and crucible knight devonian were both way harder. the gs with giant hunt is the stagger champ.
Fromsoftware is a menace 1. make an awesome and badass enemy 2. create two variations of this enemy with different movesets 3. each of them has two versions with new, cool moves 4. one of these versions has three other variations, each with different moves I can't stress enough how impressive it is to have a game with so many different enemies and many of which having additional variations as well. The Horned Warriors are probably the best elite enemies Fromsoftware has ever created after the Ringed Knights. Elden Ring having Crucible Knights, Horned Warrios, Death Knights, Black Knights, Fire Knights, Banished Knights, Rotten Duelists and Cleanrot Knights is also something REALLY impressive; a lot of different, cool and complex enemies.
Fromsoft: Introduces elden ring and sick asf Aspects of The Crucible abilities Also Fromsoft: Makes it so you can’t use all of them Fromsoft Again: Introduces SOTE and allows you to use the rest of the crucible abilities from base game Also Fromsoft Again: Makes twice as many new abilities that you can’t use
Sword Crucible Knights are slightly more effective in general, but Horned Warriors are incredibly aggressive and have ridiculous dps. they're very weak to thrust tho so the Crucible Knights could use that in their favor
Horned Warrior and Divine Beast Warrior with a big sword : What happens if we mix a Cathedral Knight and the Gundyr Champion and give them holy powers/or wind, ice, or electric powers. Horned Warrior and Divine Bird Warrior with double swords: has a movement reminiscent of the Sanctum Knight of the DS2 with more speed and abilities.
Really wish instead of giving us the crucible wings as an AOW, they could’ve put the shield crucible knight’s sword and made it have that aow like they did with Moonrythill’s sword
absolute annihilation not even joking, Banished Knights only have hyper armor in some attacks and can get stunlocked outside of that. Horned and Crucible warriors are a tier above them in terms of strength.
@@imannam good point about staggers. They could be put in 2v1s to compensate for that. I'm just thinking what other humanoids would be cool opponents for the hornsent chads
This was great. Very entertaining. Would it be possible to face all these 6 guys vs each one of the bosses and their army? I think these 6 guys stand a great chance of conquering them.
@@EldenRingFights I saw a video of that Horned Warrior with the massive golden sword and he almost beat every base game boss by himself so yeah, the 6 of them at the same will probably be too much even for a whole army.
they all do about the same regular and stance damage and both are prone to try and tank through whatever you throw at them but the horned and the divine beast warriors are faster and even more aggressive than the crucibles, still a really cool battle of terminators
From most powerful to least powerful: Devonia, Divine Bird Warrior, Divine Beast Warrior, Ordovis (Scadutree 20), Siluria (Scadutree 20), Horner Warrior (Twinblades), Horned Warrior (Greatsword), Ordovis, Siluria. Honestly, giving Ordovis and Siluria 20 Scadutree blessings was overkill since they're designed to be tanks. With that extra defense/damage, they're just way stronger.
@@MasoTrumoi Yup, I felt the same. Divine Beast is imo the top for me. It has a start up time delay which can give enemies few free attacks, but once it gets few attacks, its hyper offensive.

@euqro3754 that's what happens when you have as much poise as a boss
The only reason he's the last man standing is because of that shield.
To be fair though, most players will not be close to scadu tree blessing 20 when they fight these guys, or get to level 20 at all.
