Hahaha this performance is epic AND he’s actually way better than this in 98% of his performances!😂 That D8 was a mistake! He went for a high note & nothing came out. So then he decided to do that (it even had vibrato!). For his fans. But he doesn’t usually do it, he chooses a note that’s more sonically pleasing for the whole song. With the exception of the D8, this song does not even begin to showcase his true ability. Dimash wrote “Unforgettable Day” himself when he was still a teenager. This was at the annual Gakku TV open-air concert, and there were approximately 150,000 fans in attendance. Gakku TV is the first music channel in Kazakhstan that exclusively airs content produced in Kazakhstan, promoting Kazakh music, culture, and patriotism. During this 2017 live performance, Dimash set a record for the highest note ever sung in a live concert. It is his now-famous D8. He not only hit a D8 but he also did a glissando and held it for several seconds, even adding vibrato to it. It was a spontaneous attempt because he missed the slightly lower note he had initially aimed for. During the performance, he made certain to erase any doubt that this was indeed anything other than a true live performance by moving his mic quickly from side to side as he sang. 'Gakku' was the name of the song festival in which Dimash was the special guest and performed last. He was 23yrs old here, he is now 27 and has done 100's of phenomenal performances since. Yes, Stranger is one of his newest performances. He turned 27 in May 2021 and this showcases several of his 'voices.' The video version of Screaming is great. Either the movie video or 3D holographic live performance of Endless Dimensions is great. All of those are in English. Most people start with the song SOS, either the Slavic Bazaar Performance or his early breakthrough performance of that song (in French) in a Chinese singing competition where he was the selected foreign/wild card performer. Hahaha this performance is epic AND he’s actually way better than this in 98% of his performances!😂 That D8 was a mistake! He went for a high note & nothing came out. So then he decided to do that (it even had vibrato!). For his fans. But he doesn’t usually do it, he chooses a note that’s more sonically pleasing for the whole song. Amazing that even his mistakes break records. You have never seen anything like him, & please don’t underestimate him- he’s NOT just a freak show of range. He is a true ARTIST, just wait! Hey guys. This was a very enjoyable reaction. This was probably not the best song to start your Dimash journey. With the exception of the D8, this song does not even begin to showcase his true ability. Dimash wrote “Unforgettable Day” himself when he was still a teenager. This was at the annual Gakku TV open-air concert, and there were approximately 150,000 fans in attendance. Gakku TV is the first music channel in Kazakhstan that exclusively airs content produced in Kazakhstan, promoting Kazakh music, culture, and patriotism.
During this 2017 live performance, Dimash set a record for the highest note ever sung in a live concert. It is his now-famous D8. He not only hit a D8 but he also did a glissando and held it for several seconds, even adding vibrato to it.
It was a spontaneous attempt because he missed the slightly lower note he had initially aimed for. During the performance, he made certain to erase any doubt that this was indeed anything other than a true live performance by moving his mic quickly from side to side as he sang. Although, there are still the occasional trolls who claim that the note was pre-recorded or that it was an electronic glitch. Dimash is truly on another level. His voice seems limitless, and no matter how many performances of his you watch he will always surprise you with something new.

'Gakku' was the name of the song festival in which Dimash was the special guest and performed last. He was 23yrs old here, he is now 27 and has done 100's of phenomenal performances since. Take a look at his official YT channel where he posts lots. Because of covid and the lack of live shows he streamed an online digital show in Jan this year and has released all the performances on his channel, along with his guest appearances at the '' Slavic Bazaar" in July and the "New Wave" festival in August where he was also judging for both events.
