      and one phrase you need ingrained into your brain: "I won't speak without a lawyer"
      do you have your wallet?
      "I won't speak without a lawyer"
      are you alright?
      "I won't speak without a lawyer"
      what is going on?
      "I won't speak without a lawyer"
      if anybody answer: "do you want to speak to a lawyer right now?" they are a cop, anybody else will look at you like "what" and your partner will slap you after the first joke.

    I remember watching these when they were first shown and loving them, and Derren. The Trick and Treat series was really moving for me and I would love to see a show with all of the participants today and if the experiences affected them positively or negatively. Can't imagine those shows being made today. I would love to have been in one. Thank you Derren!

    The thing I don't understand is this: if the majority of the attendees at Stephen's talk were unaware of the plan or that anything strange would happen, why did that many people watch a guy get killed right in front them (hearing the sudden gunshots) and ALL of them just sat in their seats, not panicked, not trying to get to safety, just waiting for what might happen next?

    Putting someone into Marksman mode is alarming! But the technique can be used for such good! (Like the hero mode, athlete mode, which have also been done by Derren).
    We are so easy to manipulate! 😢
    But not being able to remember the actions 😱

    RE Jodie. Having had this done to me in a marriage for 25 years this makes me very uncomfortable and upset, but very interesting to see it played out in front of my eyes. I spent a lot of years asking myself "Did I do that"? It's a real problem for me even today feeling guity when I haven't done anything, I still don't trust my own memory.

    Watch the original version of 'The Manchurian Candidate' to fully understand about programming an assassin - it was made in the 60's or 70's to demonstrate what the FBI/Russians were developing. This was an excellent research experiment, which validates the idea of programming.

    This is sus, the actors give it away every time. You can see the dude beside him dying laughing right after she changes her clothes. Like how is that not a dead giveaway your part of some inside joke? At the very least if something like that happens and someone begins to laugh like that. You would instantly look at them to see if they have some clue as to what is going on almost instinctively.

    I feel very conflicted watching Darren Brown. I find it fascinating yet the second episode is nothing short of orchestrated psychological/emotional abuse. I believe it may be as cruel as the conditioning experiment done to make a baby scared of a rabbit and there may be laws about “purposefully obscuring truth for extended periods of time” in the future

    Bravo. Mind blown, as always.
    Just FYI none of the shots fired by Sirhan Sirhan were fatal - forensic evidence shows Kennedy was killed by two shots fired from behind at point blank range and neither of those shots came from Sirhan Sirhan. This is not controversial - it is fact and was outlined in the 1969 documentary _The Second Gunman_ - Sirhan was never close enough to have fired the fatal shots, and was also in front of the Senator. The actual assassin was a security guard affiliated with right wing extremist group the John Birch Society, who allegedly killed RFK after Sirhan had started “firing wildly” hitting the guy next to Senator Kennedy.
    Sirhan was the fall guy - a “patsy”, a “lone nut”, same as Lee Oswald.

    • @DodaGarcia
      @DodaGarcia ปีที่แล้ว +4

      He did! This channel has the isolated episode and at the very end you see a few seconds of Derren starting the process of deprogramming him.

    • @Anna_Key
      @Anna_Key ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As Chris was realising what happened he was pretty crushed. I am sure Derren helped him work through it. I also hope Chris and Stephen hugged it out afterwards.
      Sirhan Sirhan didn't get the post event "anti-trauma exit counselling" and it's sad he's still in jail simply because he hasn't expressed sufficient remorse! Sociopaths can easily fake remorse and get their jail sentences reduced!

    • @pokefan123ish
      @pokefan123ish 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Am I the only one who really feels bad for Chris? You can see the moment on his face when it hits him, and he realizes he had been manipulated to kill someone. Even with the “de-programming”, I wouldn’t be surprised if Chris needed some therapy after that. As he remembers what he did, despite being fake, it must have felt horrific. If I were him, I would have been seriously upset. It all felt very violating.

      @@pokefan123ish I've heard Derren talk about the work he does to ensure that all of his participants are safe before, during, and post production. This includes making sure they're in a good mental place after what may be a traumatizing event and even protecting them from people online and in the real world after the show has aired.
      This is something I have always wondered about the people on his shows, and Derren really does think everything through.

    How come the hypnotist doesn’t hypnotise themselves whilst hypnotising people?

    • @sarahrosestanfordrististed311
      @sarahrosestanfordrististed311 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hypnosis is essentially tapping into someone's subconscious mind the hypnotist is consciously aware of the techniques they are using (pattern and tone of speech phrases etc) as well as being the person that is giving the suggestions to someone means that the hypnotist's mind is essentially in a different state of mind to the person being hypnotized.

      They sometimes do. The hypnotherapist Milton Erickson believed that effective hypnosis works best with good rapport between the hypnotist and the subject, and that included leading the way into trance by going into trance first. Trance is just extreme focus, not some magical state.
