I go from German rock to this when the recommendation gets its right
Add it to your favorites you'll keep being able to listen to it
German music slaps so goddamn hard
I'm looking into learning German just for the music
Listen to tanz mit mer
Beautiful!
Einfach mal neu und frisch verpackt, gute Arbeit✌🏼

Lyriks in English:
(For Info hedeby is a vikings town.)
We were nearly
Already in Hedeby
On a spring day in May
We were fully manned
And we were stuck
And had no rum with us
On the wayside
Ahead at the shore stood
A beauty in simple clothes
She was elve-like
'I greet you'
'Come with me, if you are thirsty'
From north to south
And from east to west
No matter how far and long I sailed
I found no man
That can revel the same
As the girls of Hedeby
From north to south
And from east to west
No matter how far and long I sailed
I found no man
That can revel the same
As the girls of Hedeby
And we left
For her small village
And she said: 'My name is Eileen'
Then, on the market place
Where the celebration began
All women were so young and beautiful
Eileen packed me
Dragged me towards her
'Let us dance, you and me'
There’s nobody in the land
That rouses the night
As the girls of Hedeby
From north to south
And from east to west
No matter how far and long I sailed
I found no man
That can revel the same
As the girls of Hedeby
From north to south
And from east to west
No matter how far and long I sailed
I found no man
That can revel the same
As the girls of Hedeby
(Hey ho)
(Hey ho)
(Hey ho)
And we poured up
Drank rum and wine
In my arms, there lied Eileen
And we sang aloud
Until the morning dawned
And the sun shined at the sky
At noon I stood up
Looked out of the window
Legs, head, everything hurted
We kept going
For more than a night
For there first snow was already falling
From north to south
And from east to west
No matter how far and long I sailed
I found no man
That can revel the same
As the girls of Hedeby
From north to south
And from east to west
No matter how far and long I sailed
I found no man
That can revel the same
As the girls of Hedeby
From north to south
From east to west
I found no man
That can revel the same
As the girls of Hedeby
From north to south
From east to west
I found no man
That can revel the same
As the girls of Hedeby

It doesn't matter what language it's in, I can't escape this song...
I thought I was listening to "star of the county down" German version. Can someone else tell me if its just me or are they really similar.
You are right, the band often takes motives from different shanty songs and since one of the band members is from Yorkshire, they also sometimes interpret anglo and irish songs. This one is indeed a german interpretation of „Star of the county down“.
Well now, if this doesn't just sound soo familar.
Isn't this the county down?
Sounds like it
I just noticed that
Please correct me if I am wrong but if I recall correctly in the star of a county down but the part where the lyrics are “from bantry bay up to darrys cay, from Galway to Dublin town there is no maid I have seen like sweet coleen that I met at the county down” they sing in this song using the directions north south east and west and sing about how there is no man who can party like the women from haithabu.
mega geil

What is the anime
Anime name of picture plss?
It's Kantai Collection, the girls (and one of the cats) shown here, from right to left, are: Prinz Eugen, Z3, U-511, Bismarck and Unsinkable Sam, and Z1.
I'd love the lyrics translated
Star of the County Down, it's actually an Irish shanty sang in German. (Got this info from another comment)
