I love Orly brushes. I just purchased this to try. I have been using Nailtiques and Nail Tek. Orly is a bit cheaper. Hope it works. My nails were pretty much a lost cause. Nailtiques Plus Formula 2 turned it all around for me.

After applying the first coat the directions say to apply every other day. Do I have to remove the existing coat so simply apply over the top of the 1st coat?

I can relate. I get splits sometimes and I try to repair them but they never last. I want them to be perfect so I end up starting over. I currently have splits in two nails on my right hand 😭
Now it will have a garlicky smell at first but once you apply it then just apply your base, color and top coat then wash hands and ofc oil your cuticles
My nails are like yours i normally use an cuticle oíl from cutex and a cream from unglax i really recomend those too they really made my nails strong and Hard as diamonds 💜

That’s a good question. I am still on the search for a good thick top coat. I only wear coloured nail polish for short periods of time because some of the products I use in my hair wears the nail polish off quickly. I will keep you posted when I find a good thick top coat. Thank you for watching.
Hello. My sincerest apologies. I thought that I had replied 😞. My nails naturally grow quickly but as they get longer, they are more prone to getting cracks if I am not careful with them. The Nail Defence helps to reinforce my nails so that they don't crack and peel as easily.

I don't like any brand of nail strengthener that is a nail polish like this. It just chips off. This means applying more coats. Then you have to remove the polish with nail polish remover which made my nails weak!! My nails were in worse condition than before starting use of the nail strengthener. And who has time to make constantly polishing and removing the polish as part of your everyday life when you have a life to live???? These reviews on these types of strengtheners aren't descriptive enough in saying how much time out of your days are spent on your nails!! Your life will be centered around strengthening your nails!!!!
Hello. Thank you for watching. I am sorry that you had a negative experience. I remove and reapply the nail strengthener once a week. I use non acetone polish remover as it is not as harsh. I also wear rubber gloves when washing dishes and doing housework which helps to prevent chipping. I will do an update video showing what my nails look like daily over the course of a week or so.

How do you keep it from peeling? Do you dehydrate your nails before applying this base coat?

Sorry. I am not sure as I have never tried it under gel polish. Whenever I use this product, I use it on its own without any other products.
