My mates and I had Vincents in the early sixties in the UK. No speed limits then on the first motorway so the Shadows would effortlessly pass everything on the road while seemingly "ticking over". Glad you liked riding the Rapide. Now at 80 rears old, I ride a small motorbike but secretly I'm 18 again on a Vincent.
@@classicbritishbikesupersto2247 In it's day this would have been classed as a sports tourer. The tank looks small. It would have been better to have had the riders seat lower behind the tank. Proved too costly for people in post war Britain

Yes, speed was in KPH, the ride was in Iowa. Wonder if bike, or at least the speedo, was imported that way. Wahoo!
