My wife and I adopted this song. We had a valentine's couples dinner at church. The men did some things to surprise our wives. I sang this to the love of my life, soon every one had tears in their eyes. My wife had juvenile arthritis since age 3. At age 46 we took her off the ventilator , it was just her and I. I sang this song and many others all night through the morning of Thanksgiving day until she passed away. 12 years later I still sing this song at her graveside.
I so love this song.....as it mirrors our marriage and how we feel about each other after 12 years. The love of my life is in the now. Our past relationships do not hold a candle to what we have found in each other. Thanks Vince for the reminder and the song of true love and appreciation for someone else who shares a lifelong commitment.
