relationship as in CK3(+ ambitions), agent system(reconossainse and assasins), variable love relationships(+more beautiful models of females), AI generals do not spawn with large armies 5 minute after releasing from captivity but gather it slow as player, morale system on battle, fall back soldiers and possibility to boost morale by shouting and fighting near the soldiers that strart to panic. that's minimum that is on my mind.
I always thought the civil war option should have been implemented to the game long ago, since starting a kingdom is always hard when you only have a fief or when being a vassal its always you against an entire kingdom.
If you don't want some backseating from some degen, don't read on. I recommend exploiting a rebellion for the first fief. When a city rebels and you are close you can very easily get it, you have to go into the city, buy all the food they have, then declare war (since they aren't a kingdom you have to attack one of their parties to declare war). Siege them until they lose no more units and use trebuchets ofc to tear the defences down. Best point is tier 4 and having all parties you can have. For leaders of those parties I recommend marrying ladies who have great leadership, tactics, steward and if possible high combat stats so you can use them as captains in your future army. If you start as male, you can have 3 women when your younger brother comes of age. I recommend Svana, Phaea, Arwa. I don't remember how it works as female, but I suspect you can also start as female and get a good male leader. Since you are the clan leader you ofc won't change your clan by marrying. It's the reason why you generally do not want to marry away females who are not clan leader, since they will join the other clan. Unless you have no real use for them ofc, then it's fine. In the beginning you might want to have as many people as possible to help you smith. It's why I haven't married my sister away, who is also my engineer. It's best to get a fief with your culture ofc, as to prevent further rebellions. If you can't get one of your culture, at least put a companion governor of that culture in the city (great if they have steward and/or engineering). Also upgrade fairground immediately as well as passing policies that increase town loyalty. With this you can prevent all rebellions. It is by far the easiest to start your own kingdom. After that you have to exploit the wars of the other kingdoms around you to swiftly take a fief and then immediately sue for peace. Before you do that however you should see to it that you have a shit ton of cash so you can hire new lords, to which you grant those fiefs. Ofc you want to hire lords that have the culture of your newly conquered fiefs.
One option is to wait for the king to die and be voted as the new one by the other lords. Then you are going to gain the whole kingdom in one easy go. 😏

I set the cost to 10k so i cant use it early game. I think i should be running around trying to find the companions i need at the beginning but once i reach mid to late game i use it non stop. In some ways it makes it too easy to recruit clans but ive maybe just forgotten the pain of travelling the full map to be rejected and have someone declare a massive war on me on the other side
I finally went the independant route instead of breaking off from a faction and it was a lot of fun even though it took longer. Crushing a rebellion for your first city without being in a large scale war immediately was nice. Added bonus is if you did good mercenary before starting your own kingdom that faction will leave you alone as far as I can tell. I got my relation up to 100 with ragavand from war campaigns and marriage between our clans and he's left me alone for the 3 years my kingdom has been up
This is a must-have mod for any playthrough. It adds such depth to the entire game, and some much needed balance when forming and running your own kingdom.
I've had issues with tribute payments scaling. I went for a sandbox campaign where I joined up with sturgia with the goal of taking it over eventually, but after earning 500k as a mercenary I joined sturgia as a vassal, only to get immediately clapped because Sturgia sucks and the AI fights dumb wars and my entire savings getting wiped + getting into 100k debt after two days
The current problem is keeping these mods updated with the “required mods” ie butterlib harmony and especially MCM which since it’s update I have not been able to get any mod to work with. Haven’t played in weeks, just waiting for everything to get caught up together.
How did you review this mod without even mentioning the "Allow Player to claim player taken settlements"? That feature alone makes this a must have mod. All the other stuff, while really cool, is just gravy. It always pissed me off when I'd take a castle or city on my own, and then have to choose between 3 Lords/clans that didn't even help, to take ownership of the settlement that I just captured. AND before this mod, Taleworlds wouldn't let me claim the city that I alone had just captured, even if I was the ruler of my own Kingdom. WTF, Taleworlds???
Question, this mod destroys kingdoms without fiefs (and cant get any land back)? I have a bunch of kingdomless clan parties just standing on the map doing nothing cant recruit them
It’s crazy how in all these years, the base game is still so bare, yet a modded adds these sort of features with ease. Are Taleworlds just incompetent?

I agree. I have thought/decided in my campaigns, that 1 day in game= 4 to 4,5 days "real time" Based on traveling distances, but mostly there 4 seasons, around 20 days at each. One year irl is 365 days. Summer Autumn Winter and Spring. 4*20=80 gamedays/year 360/80=4,5 ... So 10-15 days ingame is a couple of months of minimum no agression pacts, seams reasonable.
