You couldn’t have found anyone better to repair your pond. There are others out there that are probably close to or as good as Chris but in my opinion there’s no one better. His understanding of geology and his attention to detail is second to none. That haul truck is packing the dam so hard that it will never leak.
It really does not surprise me as "bank sand" is really stable until it gets "liquefied" but that can happen fast once it starts to go. Over topping just takes it out really fast. With this core it will be so much stronger. The spillways will need to be armored with rip rap anywhere there is sand, but other than that it should be really strong.
The Beavers must have been laughing their arses off when they saw Chris's 8" pipe LOL I seen videos of them rebuilding some really big drain & culvert damns in a matter of hours.
I think the reverse is true also. Chris is probably sick of clearing that pipe by now. Time for some BBQ pulled beaver sandwiches and a hide in a hoop to dry. Maybe brain tan it? They make great wall hangings. They also make 100% waterproof hats too. Just a thought.
Looks like Chris is making headway, Brian! Is he going to remove the little pipe when he’s finished? I’m glad he’s letting you help by driving the haul truck, Brian! As far as I can see by the weather channel, it looks like the hurricane is going to be a major storm and move into Tampa Bay, Wednesday! I’m thinking that they’re saying by the time it reaches y’all it should move back into the ocean! Yall might just get some rain! Let’s hope so, I figured that’s why Chris is trying to get it done asap! Thanks for sharing Brian! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻💯💯💯
I'd have the 7 there to do the big pile hogging back at the borrow pit. A second set of hands will make this job move along with all the weather threats you keep dodging.
Thank goodness the new hurricane is not coming up this way. At least the forecast is to hit Tampa, cross Florida and go out to sea around St. Augustine, Florida and head for the Bermuda Triangle. We need to pray for Florida as the whole state might be effected by winds and flooding, but at least this job should be spared. It is really good that you are over sizing everything on the drains and if I know Chris he will put spillways at both ends for safety. The world could get washed away but this dam will likely still be standing.
Yeah D6 & D7 more for roughing in dozer work whereas the Komatsu is a finish grade machine. I guess Chris weighs up the haulage/permit costs & fuel costs of the large dozer to decide if worth having both sizes on site.

@@davidepool5884 that’s exactly why I hired him for this job. Best in the business!
Surprising that sand held all those years! Imagine how solid a structure you' all have now!!

Chris is really making those beavers mad😂

I hope that you do your chainsaw on the little boat trick! That should work great!
You need to set up some trail cam to watch those beavers

@@kirk467 hey Kirk! Yes, it’s just temporary to keep the water flowing until the overflow goes in, this week.

Man you'll look good in a beaver hat!!!!
That look like a good team!
Mount the camera on the front of the truck bed it’s interesting
Get a trapper to come in with a couple of 330’s and get rid of the beavers.
Good time to put some Have-a-Heart traps out and relocate the Beavers. You know where they are going to be every night.
@@rmacsrmaddog2192 it’s actually illegal to live-trap and relocate a beaver in North Carolina.
I guess so you don't relocate a problem. What do they recommend.? Kill?
You can probably save a lot of fish with the major dam burst but the turtles will be fossils for the year 3535 ( if man is still alive).
In his last video Chris said he found a problem what was it?
@@TheBrokenWing8 probably all the sand on the other half of the dam. Gave him the go ahead to dig it out and core it, so it’ll be done right.
Sand and stumps in the other side of dam
The D6 and D7 are not used all that much, don't fit the jobs lately. Lack of a good AC cab could be factor as well!

That birdnest has alot of miles on it. Its been there since i used it 2 months ago.
But does the mother bird follow it from job to job?
making new road ❤❤
did Hanes pay for that AD spot at 7 minutes in? lol
@@wwmoggy lol There's an idea! I meant to cut that part out. Not the best view... fixing it now
@@BrushCommando I wear them also LOL
😂😂😂😂
How deep is the other pond..?
Half of it is about 12ft, I dug it out to get the material for the temporary dam.
🦫🦫🦫 we'll be back.
