Awesome sauce! Love watching a couple of professionals work. Everything looks like it came from the factory. Great episode. I"m enjoying the different type of built from the typical big motor swap. Love those also, hell love everything about the whole channel. Keep up the fantastic work fells!
Nice work Dave! But I will always be a dinosaur juice or corn juice guy for as long as its produced.🤘🔥🔥 EV's are cool for about 5mins, unless you're a total computer genius 😅
That’s why we brought the computer genius in to help us! lol LS’s and Big Blocks will always be our focus, but it’s always cool to work on something out of the ordinary!
So... at first glance it almost seems sacrilegious for YOUR shop to be working on an "electric" engine... rather than a cool manly ground-pounding cool-sounding internal combustion engine - but this is cool. And if anyone can make this cool.... it's going to be your shop. It would be great to learn a bit about the owner... or whoever it was that designed this changeover... I almost wish the guy had his own TH-cam channel where we could follow along on this. Anyway, thanks for sharing this project with us. I know a couple of guys who are using motors out of old forklifts in their changeovers, refreshing the batteries, but all of them are small tiny little cars. It kind of works... but not really. I guess the Tesla is the way to go if you find you need to do something like this.
Chris also helped us on our Tesla swapped C10 back when his company was Zero EV! And we’ll try to find Dave’s channel from before he came to our shop when he first started this EV build
I'm not so sure about the mounts for the front battery pack... if you hit a pothole, the massive weight of the battery is going to want to keep going down, and those long horizontal mounts won't hold up to real world abuse. I hope I'm wrong... but the engineering says it's bad... the applied force is very high, the lever length is long, and the angle is low.
Love the looks of that car...especially with those wheels!
those wheels are next level
The wheels are the icing on the cake for sure!
Just missing a engine

Thank you so much! Dave puts a lot of love into this car and having Chris here definitely helped too!
Nice episode. I really enjoy Dave's work.
Glad you enjoy it!
This was a great episode. It's always great to work with people who know what they are doing.
Thank you!
This looks dope not gon lie.
It's insanely quick too! Especially compared to the original engine that was in it!
Is this Dave’s car?
Awesome fab as always from Dave! You guys are living in the future, man! Cheers
Thank you so much!
That beautiful merc needs some clear square eu-headlights!
Dave’s been talking about those headlights for a while now. Maybe that should be next on the plate!
Chris is the man. :)
He’s been a lifesaver on a lot of these EV swaps!
Great watch
We appreciate you watching!!
9:14
Tell me more about that mid-fifties Chevy cab in the background
It’s gonna be a staple on the channel in 2025! Right after we get the Chevelle and Continental out of here!
Spectacular!! Thanks Dave!
Thank you for watching!
love this build!!!!!
Thank you!
That's a heck of a lot of work. Not for the feint hearted and the incompetent 🤣.
It was definitely a lot easier than when Dave disassembled and split up the old battery pack! We really appreciate the support!
10:35 "Do you even have mm on there?" Welcome to America, buddy.

What kind of range will you get and how much does the front pack weigh compared to a 617 diesel engine?
Hmm...I need a 35-40ish KwH 800 volt pack that can feed an 850Hp motor for ~10 seconds. Can Fellton deliver something like that?
Hit Fellten up! Chris is really dialed in on everything you gotta do for these EV battery swaps!
8:43 no way i met him at state of charge 2024 earlier this year. small world lol
Chris is anywhere and everywhere you find EV cars! lol
What the Uncle Sam is a "millimeter"?!? We use Freedom Units here, son!

OH COOL - sorry... just got to the part where you introduce us to the guy who is doing this changeover from across the pond. Thanks for that.

Where to find battery

This isn’t as heavy as a small block or an LS, or at worst, just as heavy. These mounts should work just fine, but time will tell!
Outstanding
Thank you!
What wheels are those?
Ripped the soul out of that car 😪
💪👊👏
Супер 👍
This my kind of electric cars🤘🤘🤘
Top notch fab, but honestly, putting electric motors in classics falls flat for me.
We appreciate your opinion, but we're just having fun doing something different! There are plenty of ICE and diesel Mercs still on the road
would rather hear shop sounds not the goofy music.
I mean majority of it is time lapsed so it’ll sound like jibber
man im Piss TH-cam not giving me Updates on my Fav Bro here
Why not make fake sounds exhaust so that it's not dangerous on roads
Because that wouldn’t make it any safer! The car is just loud as a new family minivan
Yay - a microwave on wheels 😂
You ruined a classic!
Why would anybody sane do that?
Because we can!
@ Because you can does not mean that you should do it 🤷🏼♂️!
Just keep it PETROLHEAD guys
That’s no fun!
