    This guy is so genuine and just overall wholesome, how can you not like the guy? This set reminds me of a vibe similar to Dylan's more country/Americana style or even Nashville Skyline to an extent.

      Genuine? Really??? On November 3rd 2009 in Glasgow Scotland. Mr Langhorne Slim and some friends assaulted my father. As a result of this assault my father was killed. Langhorne Slim is a coward and a murderer.. there is nothing genuine about this liar, he lied to the police because he knew the names of the other people involved and told them that he didn't know anything or anyone. If you call that genuine you're just as bad as him, your money keeps this guy supported when he should be in jail. If he and his friends hadn't assaulted my dad, he'd still be alive today. I sincerely hope that karma eventually gets this prick and his coked up friends who got away with murder

      @@piggybankvillan My Dad was sitting in his car waiting for me to get out of work. Langhorne was playing at a pub called the Captain's Rest. The girl he was with who he acknowledged that he knew and her friends saw my 59 yr old dad who had probably got there early and leaned back with his eyes shut like he always did. Anyway, they saw this and threw a bike against the car to scare him, when he got out to check the damage and see what was going on one of the group assaulted him. He ran back in the car to call the police. I arrived at the point Langhorne and his freinds had SURROUNDED the car, were shouting at him, punching and kicking the car when I asked what the hell was going on, I was pushed and one took a swing at me. When the police arrived I myself was completely surrounded by them and was just being attacked when the police arrived. They separated us and told everyone to go away (without taking any names or details of ANYONE, as my dad was complaining of being assaulted the strain got to him and immediately collapsed into a heart attack right there and then. Langhorne and his crew saw this and ran away like cowards. I was told by one of the pub staff who the American in the group was ( Langhorne ). I gave this info to police who tracked him down in london the next day where Langhorne denied everything and didn't give anyone's name, thus killing the investigation and letting himself and his friends get away with murder (man slaughter technically) the next day. 2 days after the incident his had left the UK like a coward. The official line is heart attack but Langhorne and his friends know what they did!!! If they hadn't messed up his car and assaulted him he was most certainly still be alive

      He later admitted to me when I contacted him on social media in the early stages of 2010 that he knew the people involved but was "very sorry", I don't know if he himself hit my dad but like I said, he was part of the people surrounding the car punching and kicking it. Screaming and shouting at my father. It makes me sick the success he's had since then (appearances on Conan O'Brien etc) when my family and I have had absolutely no closure because Langhorne protected himself and his scumbag coked up junkie mates

      Tell me more about this please. I'm sorry but I have a hard time believing that they assaulted your father and killed him (?) This claim seems a bit far fetched but horrible if it's true though. But do please correct me and fill me in Michael George Hutcheson

      I hear what you're saying and I'm sorry for your loss. I think this is awful of course BUT it seems to me like they harassed your pa, which in any case is unnecessarily stupid, and what happened after that could've happened any day, give or take years/months even? To say that if they hadn't done that he would most certainly still be alive is a bit... you know?

    • @michaelgeorgehutcheson213
      @michaelgeorgehutcheson213 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fabiansjostrom9795 I hear what you're saying and I respect your opinion as someone who wasn't there. I know it looks also but when a heart attack immediately follows an assault I don't put much stock into coincidence. Being assaulted and they way they had surrounded the car and were kicking and punching it whilst he was in must have been a traumatic experience for him. Maybe saying he'd still be alive is a bit of a stretch this far after the incident but I'm pretty sure that if he 1. Wasn't assaulted. 2. Wasn't surrounded and harassed and 3. Didn't see his youngest son (me) being surrounded by the same mob. If it wasn't for these 3 traumatic factors I'm absolutely positive he wouldn't have had a heart attack that evening. I know I'm being particularly harsh on Langhorne Slim as I didn't see him himself assault my father and when I contacted him in 2010 he did respond with a heartfelt apology but I'm being this way because he withheld the name of the girl he was with and her group of friends (which he admitted to in the apology). By withholding her name, the people responsible for the entire incident got away scott free. What really upsets me is that they might not even know what they did so not even their own consciences can punish them for what happened that night. If this was America they'd have come after them with culpable homicide and manslaughter charges. I've seen very similar incidents in the media since the event and the people in those cases are always held responsible. This is an event that I cannot get any closure from and definitely no sense of justice or what should be right in the world. All he had to do was tell the police the name of the girl he knew or not be a part of a drunken mob acting like thugs. I just want people to know what he was party to and for him to never forget what he and his friends did that night. At the end of the day that's what this is about, people can form their own opinions but he knows what he did and nobody can tell me I'm wrong because I re-live it all the time.

    Sort of a Cat Stevens voice + and attempt to write a Dylanesque sort of ballad with a great melodic hook. Only problem is the hook is not melodic and the lyrics are neither clever nor intelligent . . . like Dylan. Cookie cutter garbage.
