    "It will not", hilarious. :) Thanks as always Jon - I don't think I'll use this until I upgrade to Ozone 10, but I'm gonna grab it now while it's free anyway!

    Great video and advice. I see this as a tool I can use to get my track closer to a “radio ready” production. A great guide in the right direction!

    Hi, Jon. You insert the plugin in your master track, right? Thank you :)

      No. It runs outside of your DAW.

    Great video 👍. I have one question, I’m unable to see my saved references from Audiolens in Ozone 10 on my Mac? You mentioned permissions on a Mac but can’t find any solutions?

    Great video, Jon! One of the things that my old school engineering friends (those who were trained by early golden ears engineers in the 60s) continue to remark about is the fact that too many recording "engineers" have instead become "engine-eyes", who rely more on the sense of sight than on their ears. With that said, I can understand why those, like yourself, who produce stock music tracks need to be completely "in house" in operations... talent, engineer, and mastering engineer... to become make a real profit and living. I only say what I said above so that those who are part of your audience will begin with the tools such as this, but ultimately use these tools to train their ears. Okay... in a perfect world, perhaps, but it was worth the mention.
    Love your channel as well as your work. Cheers, Jon!

      yea, there has to be a balance. The ears are most important, but I'm all for tech that helps develop my ears.

      @@JonMeyer... yes I agree with you. However many tend to never move beyond using it as a crutch instead of a tool. Cheers, Jon!

    Great recap video Jon. Question, I'm a post mixer for indie films so would want to use this to compare say a netflix streaming feed, or amazon, or iTunes for leveling dialogue and such. I already downloaded Audiolens so i could take advantage of the free period, but wonder if it will help me given my use case, and the fact i dont own Ozone 10 (yet)

    • @JonMeyer
      @JonMeyer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Without Ozone it only really helps with the overall frequency spectrum. Not sure how well it will work with long sections of dialogue. I imagine it works best with songs that provide a consistent level. Either way, it's interesting to watch how the curve changes with the source material. You're bound to learn something.

    Honestly works too well, if you have a well mixed session and add this to the master WOW sounds good in my car, on my phone, through my klipsh surround sound, may as well be close to professionally done

    Not sure, if someone can help me with this, but I got issues with loading the Audiolens saved references to Ozone 10. I capture the audio, save it and then I run Ozone 10 in my DAW and there are no targets saved in Ozone 10, even though I can find the references in the Izotope folder. Not sure what's going on. Maybe does it have to do what I rent Ozone 10 through splice?
