    For a purely inductive circuit, using Voltage law
    VmSinwt -Ldi/dt = 0
    Ldi = VmSinwtdt
    integrate both sides
    Li = -VmCoswt/w
    i = -(Vm/wL)Coswt
    i = -(Vm/XL) Coswt
    i = -(Vm/XL) Sin(90-Wt)
    i = Vm/XLSin(wt-90)
    Therefore, current in a purely inductive circuit lags voltage by 90 degrees
    Inductive reactance XL = wL = 2(pi)fL
    Trigonometric identity used - sin(-A) = -SinA, to adjust -Sin(90-wt) to Sin(wt-90)

    AC- magnitude varies with time . cant be stored coz average V/i in complete cycle = 0
    DC = magnitude remains constant . can be stored in batteries.
    V & i vary sinusoidally. both r in phase w/ each other.
    peak value of V > i . coz i = V/R .
    cos2theta = 0 in complete cycle
    why do we use rms values? to see AC circuit as equivalent to DC
    21:09 for cont. mean = we integrate (Sum) & divide by T

      It is right , in general in inductive circuit current lags behind voltage and in capacitive circuit current is ahead of voltage.
      But in this diagram we are not talking about current, we are talking about voltage and in inductive circuit voltage is ahead and in capacitive circuit voltage is behind , therefore as u can see in the diagram VL is ahead and VC is behind the current I

    if r =0.5 ohm and i = 2 then voltage is 1 so here Im is more than Vm so the assumption is wrong that Vm is always higher than Im

    Toh mam ham aasa nhi bol sakte ki Vm is always greater than Im
