Derek is my all-time favorite drummer. Soo on point with polyrhythms and syncopation. Such a talented musician. Thousands of miles above Joseph Arrington, Crosby Clark, Tanner Wayne, or Thomas Pridgen. These are all great musicians, but they just don't live up to Mr. Derrick Frost. [Derek (the spelling you used) I imagine you confused with Derek Bloom From "From First To Last". Coincidentally #2 on my favorite drummers list. #3 is a tie between Derrick Frost/Travis Barker.] Isn't it crazy that my top 3 drummers are all named Derrick, with two of them spelled that way and one spelled Derek.
His drum part in note to self is so iconic.. there weren’t too many drummers playing that tight of transitions. The only one that comes close imo is Daniel the original drummer for TDWP when they released dear love. Two of the best drummers in that genre

I read a long time ago the previous band he was in was a black metal band. Memorable drummer for sure.
