Sadly I suspect your Schefflera macrophylla has had it. I've had a number of shrubs, different species and ages, in different parts of the garden show similar symptoms, growing happily and the next weekend the foliage is wilting. The other weekend I removed 7 all had rot in the roots and came out easily. I'm putting it down to the very wet autumn/winter followed by a wet cold spring. So now I have space to reorganise, replant and try a few different things.
Kris, I’m overwintering a Hiniba in the glasshouse. It’s dug up and been drained for a couple weeks. Do you think it will be ok? Or should I move it to the garage ?

I've been running in and out all morning , I only have cactus but there in now
-0.4c overnight in Ainsdale so nothing to bad to worry about yet
