    Is there any chance the taller ensete is a hiniba or some other variety?

      Don't think so bud. It was bought as a Maurelii so who knows. I have another one that's done the same thing so I presume it's just a characteristic of growing them in semi shade. Maybe time will tell

      @@johnvenables1763 every day is a learning day in the gardening world mate and you'll have losses along the way. Stick with it and enjoy though..it's worth it!

    Is it ok to leave ensete in a planter and move the planter into a shed.? Assume leaves would still need trimming?

      @@murph-r7v if we have a mild winter I can't see it being a problem. I'd probably still wrap the stem in something breathable though..and if we have a really harsh winter with long periods of below 0° I'd be tempted to wrap more or get it somewhere warmer until we're passed the worst of it. I'd only trim the leaves as they die off to stop them rotting. Hope that helps. Chris
