"I wouldn't be surprised if Fox drove Edgar Rosenberg to his death." may be the most shocking line ever uttered on network television. Given that they were on Fox. And the executives that fired Edgar were still in charge. I saw this live when I was 17, I was a big Stern fan. But after he said that, I was so mortified I had to change the channel. It may not seem like much today, but trust me that was the most insane, ballsy thing he could've said that evening.

That was totally hilarious when Arsenio picked up his drink and his hand was shaking after Howard started to talk about Hall's mom. Apparently FOX was considering Howard to replace Joan Rivers talk show. I just now learned this from this interview which I never saw. But this clip is from the Late Show that Arsenio went on to host replacing Joan Rivers. I was curious if Howard was ever on Arsenio because he dogged Arsenio when he was on the Tonight Show in 1992 just after Leno took over. This would be five years before that.

@@selfishstockton6123 I respectfully disagree. He handled Stern masterfully.

How he handled Queer Nation, Vanilla Ice and Louis Farrakhan sealed his fate. Arsenio is a racist and a homophobe.

"I was out of my mind then, Robin." If he had Arsenio on his show today, Howard would say something like "I *love* when you pump your fist and bark." Bring back the old, provocative Howard and send this new Stepford Wife replacement to Mars.
