    Nice solution! I just clamp them to the top of a wire rack and let them hang (clamps too). They slide left and right like coat hangers, makes finding the ones you want quick easy.

    Not a bad idea. It's funny yall made this video though bc just earlier today I saw an ad for a fab shop that made these for multiple types of tools but they were cut on a cnc table and then bent for the angle.

    I'm gonna do it too. I think I'll flip it so the vertical portion of the angle is pointed downward though. Not trying to be a wise ass, but I'd encourage all fabricators to double shield when grinding (goggles and face shield); its not the sparks its the exploding discs that'll hurt worse.

  • @AndrewBrowner
    @AndrewBrowner 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    9:52 the right side of the blade/disk is much easier to control then the left side, as it the right side will pull the grinder out of the cut if it digs in but the left side pulls it into the cut more causing it to dig more and either shatter a cut off wheel or send a grinder flying.. i never see any "safety videos" even mention this theyre far too concerned with if you have a guard on or are wearing safety glasses.. everyone knows you should have a guard on and should be wearing safety glasses but few know theres a more and less controllable side to the grinder which in my opinion is much more important information.. instead of tryna protect yourself after the wheels exploded why not stop the incident before it happens.. of course theres scenarios where its more convenient or only possible to get it done with the left side of the wheel in those cases just get a tight grip and ease into er

      @@DaddyJeepGarage give him shit for not wearing gloves... youre part of the problem pal, its obvious how gloves glasses guards help and its peoples own choice if they wanna wear them, i use all of them none of them some of them it varys by scenarios and my comfort level.. you can tell when a cut is going rough and has a chance of sending shrapnel like jamming a grinder up in a tight spot under the jeep to cut a bolt vs just dicing up rebar in a vice one ill be decked out in gear and the other i could do in crocs and my underwear

    I took a scrap chunk of 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 1/8 square tube. I cut our approx a 3/8 section out on one side. I welded this to the bottom of my fab table. The 3/8 is perfect to slide on my vice gribs and finger clamps

    Use slower speed with larger drill bits when using a hand drill (or any drill) so you have less risk of burning the bit and dulling it

    I made an oversized version of that for hanging garden equipment on (rakes, shovels, axes etc). I used 3/4" plywood and then added a skirt down about 12 inches or so that I put small brackets and nails that I hang all kind of smaller stuff in between the handles. I then made a smaller version that I hang my string trimmer and the various heads along with extra string/blades etc. Really helped organize what had been a freaking mess before.

    I've seen a similar build done for hanging air tools by their air fitting n having another piece of steel that goes across the front n padlocked on each end to keep the air tools from growing legs

      You just gave me an idea for where I'm gonna keep my c clamps now lol. I've been thinking where can I hang them cuz they are always in the way n totally didn't think about the handle on the side of my toolbox. Great idea n if I run out of room I'll just get a longer bar n mount it under my bench or something. Might do that anyway

    That grinder could have flew away and did some good damage! Geez, good thing it didn’t hurt you man. That could have been real bad. I had that happen once and it did a number on my left knee right on the inside thigh. Took away a good chunk of meat and took 2 months to heal.

    Hello, I am writing to you because you are the largest group of off-road car enthusiasts and I have a problem that I cannot overcome. my Xj is on a 4 inch lift, the steering wheel does not want to go straight after the turn .. fluid is, the angle of advance of the crossover is correct, clearances have been deleted, I have no ideas, unless it coincides .. the car mouse on the way (sorry for the google translator )

    • @Bleepincolt
      @Bleepincolt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd check your caster at the axle, that's what allows the steering wheel to straighten out when you let go of the wheel.

    11:46 out of 12:44 video showing the dull, boring fab operations before even seeing finished project. DUH!!!! There should be a YT law that the finished project and demo must be shown at start of video so viewers can determine interest, application. Then, if interested, show the painful fabrication portion of video....for those that don't have a clue how to cut a board, run a weld bead, drill a hole...you know, for Libs.
