I’ve noticed that whoever has the most oil wins. I like to play the 10 player mode and the people that gets the countries with oil always win. It’s literally pointless to try winning if your original provinces don’t have oil
It can be hard without oil, but once you play with a country that has a lot of it you will learn about the importance of Grain and Iron. If you have a country that doesn't have a lot of oil, you have to be aggressive at the early game (before day 10) and start preparing by buying oil for cheap on the market first few days. Stock market, economical spies and diplomacy are crucial parts of this game. You can defiantly use those to get more oil. Its not easy, especially on 10p map so I recommend trying 30p map as there its a bit easier with more provinces.
I personally have had different experiences, as austria hungary which doesnt have any oil, i was able to become the strongest on the map militarily and i still am, the only thing is that if you dont have oil provinces then you have to look for opportunities to go get some

Great video but, I'm curious about how you do the circle and select units you want at once to a specific place/province, that will be very helpful. Thank you
You mean selecting the multiple ones at the same time? On browser/steam version you hold down right mouse button and select them that way (similar to free-form selection in paint). On mobile version you need to hold your finger down at a specific spot for 1-3 sec (withouth moving the screen) and then move it around to select the units. Units that fall within that circle/selection zone will get selected. You can also use Ctrl + Left mouse button to select/deselect specific units. On mobile version its "+" button. Hope this helps
You should also add the unit troops attack factor. 5 troops or less deal almost 100% of their "attack" while 6-15 deal only 0.4 each. and from 16-35 ( not sure exactly ) it will deal like 0.1 attack damage. That is considering your morale is 100%. Once troops go over 50, their attack will no longer change and so basically an army of 113 troops will be equal to 50 when it comes to attacking. This is important as it is a major thing as to why an armored car should be bought, as it deals 2x the damage of an INF when defending. the same principle also applies to vehicles, so 5 deals almost all damage, from 6-15 it will deal 60% less than when it was previous.. So here lets say an army of 15 INF is attacking a fort with 5 defenders. BOTH will have exactly 6 damage because 15 x 0.4 = 6 & 5 x 1.2 = 6. Although the larger unit will have more HP, the one in the fort receives the buffs of the fort, thus making it a very important factor in combat. Now imagine having 5 INF and 2 armored cars on the fort. they will now do an additional 4.8 damage because the armoured cars are equal to 2.4 in defence. Later in the game, you will use INF as a meatshield and your main groups and vehicles will be attacking, like tanks. I prefer early game to use ships as they can completely anhilate armies in a matterof a couple attacks. as they deal a significant amount of damage to land units.
You are correct. I don't count it as a factor since its only 10 money per hour and the benefit of having infantry outweighs small amounts of money. You can also disable Recruiting Offices in which case it wont cost you 250 a day in upkeep. For me this is/was only useful on 500p maps.
Factories almost always go on double resource provinces. Its always good to start building early, so building them right after capturing is sometimes a good idea. BUT, make sure you can protect the provinces you are building factories. They are expensive and will hurt you if it falls in enemies hands

Not to mention the lazy rock paper scissors mentality. Jokes aside CoW is its own thing and gameplay wise they differ quite a bit. Every time i play CoW though it gets boring after a bit and all the things which are supposed to make it more interesting and complex feels like a gimmick. P.S. your infantry wont lose morale at sea if they are mixed with at least 1 ship.
Once you give your unit an order (move or attack) you can set "Delay" up to 20 hours. That means that the unit will hold its current position (for how many hours/minutes you set the delay) and then execute it afterwards. If you have multiple units moving to same location (usually enemy province) you can select them all and set "Delay" and then OK without changing the delay time that is automatically shown. That way each individual unit will have its own delay set, so that they all attack the province at the same time (they will even merge together on the way if they move at the same speed) I recommend using this for planning your attacks, especially when you know you wont be able to check in (at night or when busy IRL). I also recommend you never use it with "Attack" order, since enemy can move while you are away and lure your units into a trap. I personally use it for timing my attack with multiple units (as I just described) and for some advanced tactics I will be showing in the next few episodes ;)
This video is great. I mean not only did you teach beginners how to act very tactical and effective but you also taught me some things, and I already play since the last year. Keep it up pal. Really good and informative stuff your doing. Btw what's your in-game name? Maybe we could play together.
@@Zolokin Ok, thanks ;) I have a question btw. What would you do, if you're on a 100 player map, you're country is russian Siberia. Also your provinces have a low morale and so do your, about 30 infantrymen...and you wasted all of your resources on building unnecessary many workshops...and your at war with a neighbour. I know its not a good scenario (because i didn't see any of your vids until then) but quite frankly I'm desperate at this point. So, what would you do? Another question :) What do you think is the most best, effective, dominating and efficient way do grow large somewhat quickly in a only europe map?
@@peterhuwe8709 Well that is not looking good but first thing you should try to fix is morale. If its because you dont have food then try to buy it from the stockmarket. You should probably try and negotiate peace with your neigbor too. If they dont accept then try to preserve your troops and defend key provinces with forts (or important roads) instead of all of them. I would also message some other nations around the enemy, there is always someone looking to grow so they will probably jump to the opportunity if you make it easy for them. As for Europe map, its taking the opportunities in the beginning and using your Armoured Cars / Cavalry properly. With those you should take provinces that increase your material production. If you will be the first one that produces artillery, you will have early dominance against enemy forts.
This tutorial was amazing however you were wrong about one thing which was stacking of troops because when troops are stacked , only the first 20 troops will attack will full power , any units added to the stack will attack with decreased power , However this video was made 3 years ago so i assume this wasnt a feature back then
You can't. Unlike other units they are being recruited in provinces if you build recruiting offices. This is why you need to have them everywhere as soon as possible. You can boost the speed of recruitment by building barracks. Double resource provinces recruit infantry a lot faster so building barracks there is better.
I’m playing on my phone and can’t do some of these actions and it’s really shitty that use phone users can’t . Like I can’t set up my army to attack same time .

First of all you might get banned for that because it may be considered "pushing", especially if it is early/mid game and if he uses his army to suicide himself to one of your enemies (so you take both him and the enemy). As for resources, newly captured provinces will cost you in upkeep more than they produce at least until they reach 60%. I recommend you try to invade small AI nation to take its capital for morale boost. you can also buy coal from stockmarket until your production goes back to normal. As long as you dont have 0 stock before daychange though you are good, since having no resources costs you a lot of morale (look at morale modifiers of a province)
@@Zolokin it is late game at this point and he didnt suicide all his troops he just gave me his land and this was the fastest way to do it and thanks for the advice

Hey there. First of all, this was a great tutorial. I am still a little bit confused with the player statistics. Mine are not shown at this point. I play in a tutorial game. Do i get my statistic while playing or when i win a game. Or does it not count my statistics in a tutorial gamr? I am really confussed on this since i dont have any statistics to this point?
Hey i wanna ask something When i started a new map and selected my country i saw that i was loosing wood .and now i cant build a factory or something else idk.can you help me how to get some?
you need to balance it out with Iron to minimize loss, your goal should be to prevent 0 stock. After that you can either sell the resourse you have the most to buy lumber/iron or focus on your strenght. If you have lot of food then build cavalry and barracks, then invade country that has iron/wood (you need double resourse ones). I recommend talking with other players. you can either trade with them or make alliance so that it is easier/safer for you to invade a country that has resources that you need. After you get that province, upgrade it as soon as you can to increase its morale and production
2 Question: Can you hide troops on a submarine and transport them? Also do units like armored cars, artillery, and tanks get hidden in fortresses that hide unit count and will they attack while sitting on the fortress? Thank you in advance!

Depends on the army composition and how large your army is. If it's all infantry stack any more about 40 wont add damage to the stack. So if stack is too large you can split into smaller stacks. Check out my new tutorial. There i explain a tactic which uses smaller stacks to defeat the enemy
This game is good but at the same time intimidating, other than strategies politics are also important that could give you advantage like for negotiation diplomacy and et cetera. No one wants see themselves losing but this is the nature of this game, if this is in real life its probably even more scarier million times that we were in the highest position and a decision maker of our countries depended on us its survival, you will know what i mean if you are on the losing side that others will prefer to quit not see their country falls apart.
Build Recruiting Offices in every single province as soon as you can and build Barracks (if you can afford the upkeep). Other than that, prevent them from dying first week or two. You can do this by using Armoured Cars and Cavalry accordingly, not charging into fortresses and advancing slowly with artillery. You can also increase their survivability by paying attention to their morale, as morale is technically their health. What I usually do is keep my low morale infantry seperate from my high morale infantry, since if you combine them their morale averages. Move your high morale troops to front lines and place your low morale troops in 100% morale province (so their morale increases faster at day change). You can watch my beginners guide on land units to learn more about morale. Wow that was a lot of "morale" for one comment. Hope this helps :D
Main way is by just playing. You get score by building buildings in every province and each building type give you a different score. You also get score by fighting in was and killing a lot of enemies, each enemy type gives you different score too. If you go on browser version and press on your name in the top left (in main menu) it will bring you to your service record. There you can see how much score you have and exactly what gave you that score.
@@Zolokin Thank you so much I’m new and wanted to play other game modes with my friends who are higher level than me and with this I hopefully will soon!
They rebel because their morale is lower than 35% and have no troops stationed in them. You need to look at morale modifiers by hovering your mouse over MORALE once you select the province (or pressing on the name on mobile version). Once you know what has negative modifiers, you will know how to fix them
So, I know if i loose territory, structures your points will go down, But i have done nothing but Gain those and my Points keep going down,.. How is this possible ??
Hi. All provinces should be able to build recruiting office. You can only have 1 per province though so if it's already built that might be the reason its not listed under "Buildings/Construction"
Supremacy is like life in some ways. if you neglect your opportunities and responsibilities you will see them slip away from your fingers and into the hands of others. do what you wish with the way it makes you feel, but the best thing you can do is learn from it
Disable barracks and try to find someone on the map that has grain but lacks the resources that you have. You can also disable recruiting offices so you have less infantry, since infantry consume grain for upkeep. (cavalry consumes fish for upkeep)
All units have upkeep so its important to pay attention to if you cant get new provinces to balance your resources. But personally i almost never slow down my unit production (besides disabling barracks)
Hello I installed the game 2 days ago and I'm really liking it but I didn't understand one thing how do I gain stars because I'm third on the leaderboard but I am much stronger than the 1st guy I have more states and much more troops I'm also very advanced in technology but I don't understand how to gain stars could you please tell me?
Hi, welcome to the game. Stars are irrelevant tbh but they can depend on morale of your provinces and building (each building type in a province is worth 1 victory point). So focus on the game instead of the points! Plus, being the first just puts a target on your back ;)
I have a question, how or can we even merge troops becuz when we recruit new soldiers it sebds them in units of like 3 men or 5 men but what if i want them combined into one singular army of 8 men
make sure they stop at the same location, then they will group up automatically. If you select multiple small ones and have them merge at 1 spot at the same time, you give them all an order to move there, then select them all, press delay and accept (the delay time will be set automatically for them to merge, so no need to adjust it). Hope this helps :)
I'm really new to this game, what I am mostly curious about is how do I let my friend join my game? We tried searching for the same game but games I found didnt appear for him and same with the other way around.
Each game has an ID, # followed by a number. If you look for that number under "New Games" search bar it should appear there. Sometimes, if the game is old, it might not appear so you will have to join a new one together. If that doesn't work, it might be because you are logged in on different servers. I think you pick a server by picking a language when logging in the game. If that doesn't work as well I recommend asking it on forums/reddit or on official discord server: discord.gg/DYGAfU9XnB Hope this helps!
Everything mentioned in the video is up to date. The PC version is actually outdated since the Province Administration menu icons have changed a bit, but that is only visual.
Build Recruiting Offices everywhere ASAP and Barracks if you can afford the upkeep. Other than that, prevent them from dieing, managing their morale properly and using other types of land units to increase enemy losses and decrease your own. Check out my tutorial on Land Units to see few tips on how to do that. Double resourse provinces produce infantry faster too so building barracks within them will help you get more troops.

That way each individual unit will have its own delay set, so that they all attack the province at the same time (they will even merge together on the way if they move at the same speed)
I recommend using this for planning your attacks, especially when you know you wont be able to check in (at night or when busy IRL). I also recommend you never use it with "Attack" order, since enemy can move while you are away and lure your units into a trap. I personally use it for timing my attack with multiple units (as I just described) and for some advanced tactics I will be showing in the next few episodes ;)
This was good, thanks for the tips. Just installed.

This video is great. I mean not only did you teach beginners how to act very tactical and effective but you also taught me some things, and I already play since the last year. Keep it up pal. Really good and informative stuff your doing.
Btw what's your in-game name? Maybe we could play together.
Thank you! glad I could help out.

@@Zolokin Ok, thanks ;)
I have a question btw.
Another question :)
What do you think is the most best, effective, dominating and efficient way do grow large somewhat quickly in a only europe map?
@@Zolokin thx, that's very good advice ;)

I even watched this vid to learn from you and it was helfull thank you
This tutorial was amazing however you were wrong about one thing which was stacking of troops because when troops are stacked , only the first 20 troops will attack will full power , any units added to the stack will attack with decreased power , However this video was made 3 years ago so i assume this wasnt a feature back then

How do you produce infantries? I’ve been trying to produce them but I can’t find them
You can't. Unlike other units they are being recruited in provinces if you build recruiting offices. This is why you need to have them everywhere as soon as possible.
You can boost the speed of recruitment by building barracks. Double resource provinces recruit infantry a lot faster so building barracks there is better.
Fortress can also be like that. Im just not sure...
I’m playing on my phone and can’t do some of these actions and it’s really shitty that use phone users can’t . Like I can’t set up my army to attack same time .
It does suck so PC is necessary from time to time, but you can still do that on mobile.

I need advice one of my friends said he was going to stop playing and said i should take all his land so I positioned one troop on every province then declared war took all of his provinces now I’m producing negative 360 coal and negative 22 gas and no oil so I’m not sure what to do
First of all you might get banned for that because it may be considered "pushing", especially if it is early/mid game and if he uses his army to suicide himself to one of your enemies (so you take both him and the enemy).

I am really confussed on this since i dont have any statistics to this point?

something is hurting your morale, might be due to resources or even enemy spies
Hey i wanna ask something
When i started a new map and selected my country i saw that i was loosing wood .and now i cant build a factory or something else idk.can you help me how to get some?
you need to balance it out with Iron to minimize loss, your goal should be to prevent 0 stock.

Been playing this game for nearly a year my only complaint is for some fucked reason some countries start with artillery and if you aint that your off to a bad start cause you have to wait about 10 days to get your own so it's ridiculous it's not an even start of all armies
Those are new players. If you join normal maps you should not have new players there starting with artillery and 200 units
Downloading the game rn hope itz good

Does making your work shop level two on the first days make your armored cars produce faster?
Yes, 2x faster. lvl 2 workshop is expensive however (for the first few days) so think if you really need them as fast or not

When i Attack, should i have 1-2 big Armies or 6-8 little ones?
Depends on the army composition and how large your army is. If it's all infantry stack any more about 40 wont add damage to the stack. So if stack is too large you can split into smaller stacks.
Check out my new tutorial. There i explain a tactic which uses smaller stacks to defeat the enemy

This game is good but at the same time intimidating, other than strategies politics are also important that could give you advantage like for negotiation diplomacy and et cetera. No one wants see themselves losing but this is the nature of this game, if this is in real life its probably even more scarier million times that we were in the highest position and a decision maker of our countries depended on us its survival, you will know what i mean if you are on the losing side that others will prefer to quit not see their country falls apart.
very helpful thanks bro
Glad I could help :)
How do I increase my soldier count faster?
@@Zolokin haha morals got it, thank you!
Could you explain how bombers work? I would like to attack but when I try to attack a province in my circle it makes me move to a closer aerodome
For some reason I’m having a hard time to rank up so is there a way I can do it faster

Great video, liked and subscribed. Thank you
Can you please explain where we should put the fortress? Thank you.
My province will always lose morale and rebel, i maxed my fortress and built railways, but they still rebel, how can i stop that
They rebel because their morale is lower than 35% and have no troops stationed in them.
You need to look at morale modifiers by hovering your mouse over MORALE once you select the province (or pressing on the name on mobile version). Once you know what has negative modifiers, you will know how to fix them

I am unable to see recruiting offices to build in all my provinces? Is this only available in some provinces?
Hi. All provinces should be able to build recruiting office. You can only have 1 per province though so if it's already built that might be the reason its not listed under "Buildings/Construction"
I was inactive two days and Alaska took my state
Supremacy is like life in some ways. if you neglect your opportunities and responsibilities you will see them slip away from your fingers and into the hands of others. do what you wish with the way it makes you feel, but the best thing you can do is learn from it
I have no way to get grain other than to buy what can I do
Disable barracks and try to find someone on the map that has grain but lacks the resources that you have.
You can also disable recruiting offices so you have less infantry, since infantry consume grain for upkeep. (cavalry consumes fish for upkeep)
Well now I know what has been eating Up all my Grain
I got way too much Cavalry and Taverns
Plus, being the first just puts a target on your back ;)
@@Zolokin oh ok thanks for the help I subbed
If that doesn't work as well I recommend asking it on forums/reddit or on official discord server: discord.gg/DYGAfU9XnB
Hope this helps!

Everything mentioned in the video is up to date. The PC version is actually outdated since the Province Administration menu icons have changed a bit, but that is only visual.
i dont get how to get more troops.
