Hi bro, first of all you are a brilliant guitarist. However i wanted to understand how long have you been learning guitar? I see you posted your oldest video 8 years back but even in that video you play like a intermediate-advanced guitarist. Is it worth learning guitar to make a career out of it? I have a busy work schedule that doesnt allow me to learn guitar for some years now. i would have to sacrifice many things ( gym, Reading books or watching movies) just to make time to learn. is it worth it?
@@roywilliams2299 Hi Roy! I started around 20 years ago & music is not my primary job, it's a passion I pursue. My advice to people I teach is to be realistic about what you want to achieve as a musician, I have seen various results/improvements in my own playing directly correlated to the time I was able to give for intentional practice/sessions with an instructor, over the years. The question is not whether it's worth it, but whether it's worth it to you! As you rightly pointed out, it demands sacrifice, anything you want to meaningfully pursue needs sacrifice or at the very least, re-ordering your priorities. I've personally found that you don't have to enjoy music any less just because you're not doing it professionally, it's about having a positive relationship with music. If all you want to play is 4 chord songs, enjoy it! Same for if you want to play more complex music. Hope this helped.
loved this video i would recommend beginners to take Berklee guitar course free on coursera without certificate (use audit method)
@@Aashishrawat Hey Ashish! Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. I've never heard of that course before, I shall check it out!
