A couple of notes pointed out by viewers: 1. Altitude connect, another good mid range card, gives 4 Priority Pass passes per year for a $95 annual fee (waived first year) 2. Amex doesn't give Priority pass restaurant access (where you get a discount on your restaurant bill of $28), but Chase and Capital One do.
From what I've heard, only the Venture X Business still offers the PP restaurant/spa/shopping discounts. The consumer card lost this benefit at the start of the year
Key thing to note, you have to be a higher tiered Delta Skymiles Member, to even buy a Sky Club Membership; so the the AMEX cards may be your only way to go to them.
Dang, the Priority Pass was precisely why I got the Amex Hilton Surpass Card last year. I travel not more than a few times internationally every year, and the 10 free visits served my needs. I accessed the iGA lounge in Istanbul with this card. Sounds like I should travel internationally one last time this winter, also use up all my Hilton points for hotel stay, and then close it after February.
@@TheCreditShifu Ah great. Some googling suggests that the Priority Pass access will continue to be available on the Hilton Honors Amex Business Card which has a $95 annual fee. Perhaps current Hilton Honors Surpass card holders should get that instead for the Priority Pass perk.
Hilton dropping Priority Pass on the Surpass and Aspire cards was a dealbreaker for me. I had the Surpass with 10 free visits with a $95 annual fee which was enough for me.
Ben, I would reallyyyyy really appreciate it if you did a video on booking using points with a family as well as airport lounge experience when traveling with children. Please?? 🙏🏽 😊
Hilton aspire without PP is so terrible, it used to be a one in all card, which solves hotel status and lounges. Now you have to keep at least 2 500$ plus cards to get Hilton diamond and PP
I just recently upgraded my Chase Sapphire Preferred to the Reserve and I’m stoked to try out the Sapphire lounges as they continue to roll out. The CSR plus my Venture X cover me pretty dang well, but one day I’ll add the Platinum too, so we’ll see who wins out for my personal use case. Great stuff as always! 👊🏼
Plaza Premium Lounges are very good. I have used them this year in Toronto, Dubai, and three times at London Heathrow. The Lounge at Heathrow usually does have a wait list though because of high demand.
What was the reason for not mentioning that CSR’s priority pass gives you PP restaurant access as well as lounge access, where Amex Platinum and Venture X PP do not give PP restaurant access?
Oh. Damn. Didn’t know about that. Maybe it was in the wrong terminal for me as I was flying TAP and woof was I desperate for a shower and disappointed in SAS lounge.
Suprised he didn't mention Visa Signature and Infinite. They are separate but partnered with many CC's and offer PP on at least these 2 tiers, Sig and Inf. Several of the cards he showed had those logos on them. Sig requires qualifying for a 5k minimum on your card, forget what Infinite requires, although Infinite I believe requires a healthy income. 150k plus I believe. Not sure about that though. They also offer many other great perks. Worth looking into
Right, but you can’t just go apply for an infinite, it still has to be a branded card issued by a bank. E.g. the Chase Sapphire Reserve is a visa infinate
Lounge cards make zero sense if you live in Chicago. Midway and OHare aren’t building any new lounges (no Centurion, Reserve, or C1 Lounges). Priority pass lounges are the lowest quality out there, they can’t even get the food right, and theyre in the international terminal. Lastly, United is the only lounge they have in domestic terminals. Those cards are trash!
Yes but they are also giving You $50/quarter in Hilton property stay rebates with the Surpass Card. Even with the increased annual fee to $150, If You claim the rebate each quarter then AMEX is paying You $50 per year to carry the card. Still a keeper.

I swear Venture X also lost PP restaurant, spa, and shopping privileges in Jan 2023 as well. They only offer access to PP lounges.

Venture also gets 4 free Plaza Premium Lounge visits annually.

Right. Although FYI, if you close the card, your Hilton loyalty account will still exist so your points will be preserved.

US Bank altitude connect has four priority pass per year, and a $65 effective annual fee once you deduct the $30 streaming credit

100% my interest in Hilton cards evaporated with these changes
The Amex HH business card still$95 and 10 annual PP lounge visits
They took out the lounge access then increased the annual fee to $150. So it's a big no for me.
Ben, I would reallyyyyy really appreciate it if you did a video on booking using points with a family as well as airport lounge experience when traveling with children. Please?? 🙏🏽 😊
Not a lot of content for this topic
I really think Ben would benefit if he talks about booking travel with his family of 4 and credit cards to use and maximize for family travel.
Venture X dominates the competition. The new capital one lounges in Denver and IAD are elite, with capital one landings coming soon

Why do you need both Venture X and CSR?
Jesus that's around 1600 dollars of combined annual fees

Best video ! So far !
Some of the credit card like chase sapphire reserve credit card annual fee is to expensive for me that doesn’t travel that much
Would probably be helpful to mention the different flavors of Priority Pass access (Chase vs Amex)
Ritz Carlton card is amazing for this (and getting even stronger as Chase develops its lounge network)
yeah we chose to not include any that you can't publicly apply for now.
@@TheCreditShifuUnderstandable, they gotta get their foot in the door with these travel cards first
i never use this lounge benefits. Thanks for the info
Okay I'm liking the background now. I'm used to it now. I'm still wondering what lounge is in the background?! Great content!!
Oh snap Boston Lounge.
Thank you for mentioning Venture, which gets overlooked.
Can one get into the United lounge with prority card ?
The standard priority charged $99.00 a year yet member still pay $35.00 each time they use the lounge .
Right, so the more valuable credit cards are the ones that provide a certain number of free visits or unlimited free access
Other than Alaskan lounges, does the AA cars get you access to any other non admiral club lounges domestically?
Ben, you left out the Ritz Carlton credit card!
What was the reason for not mentioning that CSR’s priority pass gives you PP restaurant access as well as lounge access, where Amex Platinum and Venture X PP do not give PP restaurant access?
good catch, we'll add it in a pinned comment. Got distracted by all the changes to Delta and Hilton
The new Admirals club in Newark Airport is pretty nice. Supposedly all will get similar upgrades but who knows when that will happen.
Oh. Damn. Didn’t know about that. Maybe it was in the wrong terminal for me as I was flying TAP and woof was I desperate for a shower and disappointed in SAS lounge.

Airline Lounges
American Airlines Lounge
United Lounge
Delta Lounge
Credit Card Lounges
Amex Lounge
Chase Lounge
Capital One Lounge
That’s Basically it!!
Priority pass and plaza premium?
Does the Priority Pass card (enrolled by having the Hilton Surpass Card) able to bring in a guest?
Guest would just use another of the 10 passes
Hey what about the ammex gold 🤔🤔
No
Can I use my Costco card??
No
@@TheCreditShifu Sarcasm LOL
Citi Prestige still has Priority Pass Select
Right but its not accepting new applications

AMEX messed up one the best priority pass cards when they changed the Surpass. 😕
At least there’s still the Hilton business card... for now.

Let’s talk about the real news today with Bilt getting Marriott as a transfer partner
U need a professional TH-cam thumbnail designer?
How would you improve this thumbnail?
Nobody gives a sh*t about lounge access anymore
Why are the lounges full then?
